Overview

Pogo Island contains 5 casual games and several "mini-games". Poppit!, Word Whomp, Tri-Peaks Solitaire, Phlinx, and Squelchies are all from Pogo.com.

Graphics 6/10

All 5 games use mostly graphics from the games on Pogo.com. Many of the graphics do not have very much detail. For example: in Poppit!, the balloons look a little smudged and less glossy. There are several cutscenes that are cartoon-style, but look very amazing.

Music and Sound 4/10

The sounds are not very good. In Phlinx, the music loops a lot. In Poppit and Squelchies, the sounds are a bit too childish. The sounds in Word Whomp are very unique, though.

Gameplay 7/10

When you start the game, you land on Pogo Island. The games are presented in "challenges." You also have to play a game several times to reunite with the Pogo mascots which takes awhile. On your quest, you will encounter mini-games. They are very simple and are controlled with the touch screen.

Multiplayer 8/10

There are 3 ways to play multiplayer. First, you can send a Poppit! demo to a DS that doesn't have the game. Second, you can play Word Whomp. You can work together or play against each other for the most words. The third multiplayer mode is Party. You can play all 5 games with 4 people on one DS. You play against your friends to try to get the most points.

Replay Value 10/10

You can play the games as much as you want! When you play, you earn tokens. These can be transferred to Pogo.com for prize drawings. You'll never get tired of these 5 games. You can even play Island Adventure as much as you want!

Overall 7/10

While the graphics and music aren't that great, this game is FUN. You will be playing this for hours! The best part is that you can transfer tokens straight to Pogo.com! If you like games that are fun for everyone, this game is for you.
