Mario VS Donkey Kong 2 : March of the minis
Introduction:
So, the game all starts off at the opening of 'Super Mini Mario World', which is based on the four toys, Mini Mario, Mini Toad, Mini Peach and Mini Donkey Kong. There are lots of people (or Toads) queuing up for the opening of the park and to get their favourite toys. Mario and Pauline (his VIP guest) arrive and are about to open the long-awaited 'Super Mini Mario World'. Mario offers Pauline a Mini Mario toy, and DK offers her a Mini Donkey Kong toy. She goes for the Mini Mario. DK gets very angry with her and snatches her furiously. He escapes to the elevator, but on the way, he knocks over some mini mario cases and frees the little toys, which are ready to help save Pauline.
Gameplay = 10/10 :
The controls are fantastic and make brilliant use of the Nintendo DS's touch screen. The controls may be a bit confusing at first, but with a handy tutorial menu, you start to become an expert at the game. The level designs are brilliant, some can be hard and some can be really easy. After completed the 9 different stages of each world, you can move on to the DK boss and sometimes you can unlock the cool Shy Guy minigames :) (they can get a bit repetitive).
Graphics = 09/10 :
The graphics for this game are brilliant seeing as the game is 2D, its a bit like New Super Mario Bros, 2D, but brilliant. The mini Mario's that you control are so detailed and match with every bad guy you defeat and all of the items and backgrounds. Wonderful.
Sound = 09/10 :
The music that plays in the background is really well done. For example, the background for some of the Super Princess Peach's Castle levels is the music in Super Mario 64, just slightly changed. The sound effects are just sweet.
Replay Value = 08/10 :
The replay value is quite good, although once you have got all of the gold medals (which can take some time) the game starts to gather dust, as there is nothing else to do. However, to boost its replayitivity, Nintendo has added a Level Designer, where players can add anything in the game to a level and trade them over Wi-Fi!
Overall = 09/10 :
A simply stunning game by Nintendo, I recommend that you buy it. This puzzle game is perfect for Wi-fi users and stylus-lovers.
