"Cutscene --- THE GAME!"

Oh boy! Custom Robo Arena is out! But how does it fare? Well, if you're like me, you already scrolled to the bottom and saw my score and won't actually read this, but if you aren't like me then here it goes.

Story-6/10
Sure, there were some plot twists and stuff, but it wasn't enough to keep you interested. The best part was earning cash that you could blow off on a new robo or something for Wi-Fi. But THE MOST ANNOYING PART was when you started a conversation. It goes on FOREVER. And when you start each day, you have to eat breakfast with your "Family" which wouldn't seem to be a problem if there weren't so many days to go through! Then AGAIN at night you had to eat dinner before you go to bed! ARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

Options-10/10
This is one of the places where the game REALLY excels. There's like, a ZILLION different combinations you could have! It's INSANE! You could very practically spend hours - maybe DAYS finding your perfect robo! It's great! I love it!

Music-7/10
I'm one of those guys who plays his DS without the music on. I guess it was just how I was raised or something. I guess I just don't like to disturb others. HOWEVER! When I DID play with the music cranked up, it was pretty much just some sort of rock music that *sort of* fit in with the game. It wasn't my style. But that's just me.

Graphics in Story-7/10
I was disappointed. After seeing what this game could be like in Nintendo Power and such, I thought it would be amazing. But no. It's like a Game Boy\Advance game. You just walk around with your little red-haired character. Every male civilian looks the same, except for a few important ones. Every female character looks the same; again save for the necessary ones.

Graphics in Battle-11/10
This really brings out the DS' true capabilities. It was phenomenal. You could almost FEEL the robo taking damage. Just wow. Really good stuff. Not much else to say here.

Battles-9/10
Pretty good, but I didn't like the part where you get knocked to the ground. And some guns are just REALLY cheap! Like the Gatling gun. It's cool and all when you have it, but when they have it, it's like, GGRRAAAGH! IF I COULD JUST STAND UP YOU'D BE DEAD!

Multiplayer-10/10
You can trade and battle over Wi-Fi and fight over local wireless. Wi-fi is tricky, since most of the people out there are insane (as in good), but local wireless (like DS Single-cart Download Play) is very nifty. You get a limited number of weapons, though, but you can customize anyway. Very nice.

Overall-8.5 (rounded) or 9 (not rounded, preferred)
This is one of the great games for the DS. Just get this, maybe a certain rhythm game (name withheld), maybe a few other gems, and you will be set for life! You'd be the center of attention. Go buy this game.
