SNK vs. Capcom Card Fighters DS

Review by CaptainChaos009

"A well done card fighter..."

First and foremost let me say that it seems that some people may have a innate bias against SNK vs. Capcom Card Fighters DS simply becuase that liken it to its predecessors and compare it to Magic, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-OH!, or any assortment of card games.......physical or electronic.
I would say the biggest flaw in this type of thinking is that whether or not the mechanics of a card game are "good" or "bad" is entirely up to the player, so comparing anything regarding the mechanics is a complete waste of time unless it is a truly glaring flaw.

With that in mind, let's take a look at the game...

MECHANICS-->SNK vs. Capcom Card Fighters DS has a very simple and intuitive layout, with three types of cards -- Action ( proactive spells ) Counter ( defensive spells) and of course character ( Creatures ). Each player begins with 2000 hp and can assign blockers and attackers during respective turns, whether or not it's good aside, I will say it is intuitive and simple but is arranged in such a way that as to where many game possibilities develop quickly.

Graphics-->sharp clean illustrations of capcom and snk characters as well animations for combat, the characters themselves are not projected, which may be good because the same projections would certainly get tiring...
Movement is restricted to certain rail traveling that doesn't really aid the game play.

Graphics (8/10): Crisp and clean, but nothing amazing

Game play--> The game itself is quickly addicting as you purchase boosters and create a more potent fifty card deck, only limited by lack of wifi, but it is still satisfying to play against adjacent friends and bet cards, boosters or "card points" I.E. Cash. Text spelling problems cause minor problems but nothing serious.

game play (8/10) lack of wifi prevents it from being perfect.

Sound--> nothing special, somewhat sub par but it is a DS so not much is ever expected...but still

Sound (6/10): mediocre

Final Focus: Fun, and excellent in vs. but lack of internet support prevents it from being truly great. 8 -- Not an average
