Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy

"Don't Worry... Be Happy"

First of all, I'd like to say that this was a creative and fantastically clever game. Some people claim it was destroyed by its glitches, but this game offers so much that the glitches are near-insignificant. The gameplay follows the Star Wars Trilogy quite well, and lives up to the legacy left behind by the previous games in the series. It is rated "E" for Everyone, is enjoyable, and is a good cause for your 35 bucks.

Sound 10/10

Sound is perfecto in this game. Everything from music to SFX, including lightsaber slashes, blaster sounds, and ship hums are perfect in time with the game. Good quality as well, and the sound is adjustable.

Storyline: 9/10

This story follows fairly well the happenings of the original Star Wars Trilogy. A few things are missing, (I would have liked to have seen some Dagobah levels) but no big deal. And the storyline is interesting.

Gameplay: 4/10

The actual gameplay, when its working correctly, gets a score of 10/10. The problem is, both during Free Play and Story Mode, glitches tend to occur from time to time. Some levels are UNPLAYABLE in Free Play mode due to glitches, which is unacceptable. And some levels, such as Sandbox, cannot be completed and you will not be able to unlock certain characters without cheating. That is UNACCEPTABLE. Gameplay gets a 4/10. I am still annoyed over that... I paid for a product that I expected to finish and felt that I was swindled in this one aspect. As Peter Griffin might say, it really grinds my gears.

Replayability: 9/10

This game is fun to play over and over again. Even just hanging out in the Cantina and blasting random characters is fun. You can custom design your own Lego Character from myriads of Lego pieces, or go all out in Free Play. But again the glitches slightly halt this. Still, overall, pretty good.

Overall: 8/10

That is averaging out the above scores. Go ahead and buy this-- You won't regret it.
