"Not really all that good but meh"

Bomberman Ds is Hudson's try at making their most loved game character for a dual screen system. I would say that this isn't bad however it could be improved upon. So anyways you are bomber man and apparently bomber man land got thrashed and you must make things right again. You must go to each building (world) to kill evil menace who did the evil deeds and fix the building up.

Game play 7/10: The game play is just like most bomber man games except it makes use of the Ds's touch screen and dual screen capabilities. For instance before each level you have to touch the screen the screen with your stylus to the power ups you want to use for that stage. What blows is that things like remote control bombs and etc can only be used on that stage and do not carry on tot he next stage. Things like the fire power up, skates, and normal bombs do carry on to the next stage. Boss battles are fought up both of the screens. since th special power ups don't carry on to the next stage you can find a lot of them in each stage and you can save them for later use (you don't have to use the power on that very next stage). The fire power of the bombs, the skates, and the amount of bombs you can place have all been reduced by one, making th maximum to 8 for each category.

Controls 8/10: The controls are very easy to manage (even with a stylus). They are: Stylus is for touching the screen and using the power ups as wel as starting the game, A is for laying bombs and the D-pad is for moving.

Music 7/10: Since it is bomber man you can bet on the songs for each level to be kiddish. However for some crazy reason Hudson decides to use a kid's voice for bomber man so the sound quality for the game is bad.

Length 5/10: The game is very long. It has 100 stages. That's right 100 stages. That is because it has 10 worlds and each world contains ten stages so 10x10=100. And so that is why I gave up after playing for a while and wondering when will it end.

I think that most people should just rent or borrow this game from a friend since it is really not that good at all. however if you like killing things with bombs then it's up to you.
