Magical Starsign

Review by JCash1313

"All signs say this game is Magical"

The story begins with a classroom waiting for its teacher to arrive. The action starts at the start as the teacher learns an old student is causing trouble and must leave. The students continue with their studies of magic but soon realize their teacher isn't coming back. Are you interested yet? I love the storyline of this game. I think it is well thought out. The characters are unique and colorful. You grow attached to your team as you go along on your journey. The game is fun and easy to play.

The battle system is your typical RPG turnbased fighting. It does add a slightly new flair with hitting the character being attacked on the touch screen to guard or hitting your character as he uses a spell to raise the damage down to the enemy. Your characters also grow stronger as the planet that represents their magic comes into allignment. This game uses the touchscreen quite a bit. You walk using the touchscreen, and fight using the touchscreen. If the touchscreen isn't your thing then thats okay it is only optional you can use buttons as well but why have a DS and not use the touchscreen. The graphics in the game are actually pretty good. They are nice at times and sometimes there are cutscenes that play like movies that have real good graphics. The music is okay your typical RPG music.

So why should you pick this game over some of the other big name RPGs out there in the market? I picked it because it has a good storyline, one of the best I've played for a handheld. The game play is good. This game is needed for the DS owner. You will soon fall in love with all of the characters and the Magical Starsign universe. The colorful and unique planets make the game fun. One moment you are underground fighting and then next you are on a frozen planet looking to make things right. You race across the galaxy gathering friends and trying to find your teacher. Will you find her in time? You have to play to find out.
