"3...2....1.... For the WIN"
Mario shoots and he scores. I picked this up to kill some time and got hooked. I love all of the Mario characters and Final Fantasy characters duking it out on the court. Yoshi, Mario, Shy Guy, Peach, they're all here! You also get to be a Black Mage, Ninja, Cactuar and more. Its a good game for all ages. So why just a seven? Well the one problem here is the scoring system. I believe it is to confusing and time consuming. You must collect coins and when you have a lot of coins score. You get the number of coins you collect. I would score twice and only have forty points while my opponent scores and has sixty. Once you get used to it, it is no problem.
I love how all the different players have different skills to play different positions. I'm a basketball fan so I love comparing them to characters. Whether its my Steve Nash in Baby Bowser to my Shaq in Donkey Kong I know how to use them in their proper position. You will have fun mixing up Final Fantasy and Mario characters to make your favorite and best team. You will have fun unlocking all the characters, courts, balls, and alternative costumes. You will have to take your team through tournament after tournament to unlock various bonuses. You will spend time finding out the special things needed to win on various courts.
Mario has had some great sports games in the past like Mario Golf on the Nintendo 64 and this ranks up there with it. It has a nice unique feeling about it. If you love basketball and Mario or if you just love video games in general then this is for you. Whether you love Yoshi, Wario, or Final Fantasy, you can find characters you love. This game is for anyone despite looking slightly childish. The graphics on this game are quite good. Whether it is the characters or the courts it is colorful and nice. The music is your usual Mario music. It is your typical Mario sports game which most have been good.
