Custom Robo Arena

Review by Axl

"One of the Greatest Wi-Fi Games for the DS."

When I played Custom Robo on the Game cube, I thought it was AMAZING. When I heard that there was going to be a sequel, I just had to have it.
Anyways, On to the review!

Story 8/10

Well, the story wasn't great but, it wasn't horrible either. Although, it was a little short. It's about a kid that moves to a town, and makes a couple friends. The two friends, Liv and Dennis, have their own team, "The Numero Unos", that compete with other schools in robot tournaments. While the story did have some plot twists at the end, the majority of the story was dull.

Game play 10/10

Now this is where the game shines. You customize your robot with whatever parts you please and take them into battle. Each part has a different affect therefore, you have to pick the right parts to fit your playing style. Each battle takes place in a "Holosseum" which means Holographic Colosseum. With hundreds of different combinations, this game never gets old.

Graphics 8/10

Ok, this game has good graphics, but, it also has bad graphics. The over-world graphics resemble that of the SNES. However, the in-game battles have very good graphics. I have no complaints about the graphics.

Music and Sound 9/10

The music in this game is very good. I loved each and every track in this game. The battle sounds are great too. It sounds just like you would imagine it to sound. The only thing that stops this from being a perfect 10, is the low variety of tracks.

Multi-Player/Wi-Fi 9/10

The Wi-Fi gives the game infinite playability. You can do random Wi-Fi and (obviously) randomly find someone to fight. You could also exchange Friend Codes, to directly fight someone. While doing a battle with a friend you can do voice chat. However the voice chat is very unclear and fuzzy when talking. The only thing stopping this from a perfect ten, is spammers on Wi-Fi. Spammers aren't too common, but, the majority of newer players are spammers. There are two guns and 3 robots commonly used for spamming by newer players.

Re playability 4/10

It's a low score because, there's really no reason to replay the game. If you do replay it, you will lose all your battle records.

Overall 9/10 (Not An Average )

This game has: a decent story, good graphics, great game play, and last but not least, fantastic Wi-Fi. All the characteristics of a good game.
