"Spyro what did they do to you? And why is Sparx talking????"

The Legend of Spyro: A New beginning for the DS is a really well.. bad game. I dont have anything against these new Spyro games its just that their so dang horrible now. Sure the plot can be good but Spyro was never actually meant to be like this. Spyro was about going to different worlds and kicking enemy butt by just breathing fire on them. Spyro was also about collecting items and doing very fun side quests. This game ignores all the fun parts..oh and did we mention Hunter, Money bags and all of your favorite characters are gone now? Well besides Sparx and guess what!? HE TALKS NOW....

Story 7/10: The story is the Dragon temple gets attacked by the Dark master while in the year of the dragon(when the dragon eggs come and such). Ignitus the dragon who is one of the Dragon elders finds one of the dragon eggs and trys to escape with it. Ignitus ends up leaving the egg in a lake to wash away hoping the dragon will be alright.

Then some years later after that Spyro(the dragon inside the egg) was adopted by.. well..dragon flys. Who are also Sparx parents. Later on Spyro ends up meeting Ignitus and Ignitus tells Spyro all about his past in the temple.Then Ignitus tells Spyro that he must help him save all the other dragon elders so they can defeat a evil dark dragon named Cynder who is trying to help the Dark master. So Spyro decides to leave the dragon flys to help the elders and of course Sparx goes along to since their is never a Spyro game without Sparx.


Gameplay 2/10: Whats the game play you ask? Ok simple you go to a area fight some enemies head to the next area fight even more enemies and so on. THATS THE WHOLE GAME well their is a puzzle mini game that you have to play some times to get past a barrier.

For the mini games you have to grab mirrors and make them reflect at a certain spot(Most of them are making them match the color)

So yeah like I said this game is just killing and move on. I dont think I even felt like I was playing Spyro at all..

Sound 0/10: .. yeah you heard me I gave it a 0.. and you no why... BECAUSE THEIR IS NO SOUND! None of the levels have sound at all and trust me my DS is working fine.

Buy or rent?: Dont buy or rent this game!

Overall: Besides a nice story to it this game is kind of terrible. Nothing worth getting but if you must try this game then go ahead and buy/rent the game for the gamecube or whatever other console its out for. At least you will have sound...
