Graphics 10/10 for a 2D game

The Graphics of this game are not bad for a 2D game and they are very enjoyable to look at the detail of the aliens are pretty well drawn and the bullets are okay. Explosions are good for a shooter and the main menu kinda makes you want more and so does the title screen. You'll get a pretty faded background but its fine and it'll remind you of metal Slug 1 the effects of jumping and landing in water is pretty good for a 2D game. The powerups look better than the average B's and S's with a bit of a side drawing.The one tiny flaw that doesn't really matter is when you jump I mean who jumps into a ball and the gun shot animations are a bit fast that its blurred. The Grass is good it looks like grass the cannons are good they look like cannons.


Sound 10/10 good

The Sound is pretty good with the laser shots and the explosions and the Game over music suits dying. The Beeping of the select menus are excellent the BGM sound like a fighting game.The pause button beep sounds cool. They casted Voice Actors very well cuz they sounded like deep macho Terminator people. What Bothers me is that the water when you land and get out makes a sound like reloading its kinda weird but just a minor flaw. The Death Screams are done very well it sounds like when you get shot. The Different sounds for different guns are pretty unique for every gun.


Gameplay 9/10 Its good for a 2D game

The Gameplay is not bad but it only occupies the Y and the B button on the DS making me think hmm I wish there was a grenade or a special button A is not used except for the select menu.L and R are used for changing weapons which is pretty cool You die when either you get shot by a monster or you touch a monster one of their minor flaws that could have been way better I mean how do you die when you get touched its extremely wrong so this game gets hard because you start bouncing around the screen trying to avoid being touched and when you use a missile to shoot up at the top of the touch screen it explodes. X is used for using some sort of rope thing to hook to hookable items and the set of basic enemies are cannons, running aliens, Shooting Aliens, or a cannon or gun of some sort which is okay for Contra. You get a boss like any normal game which is also pretty good.


Rent or Buy
If you are a fan of clash and slash kill shooting games where the basic objective is to get to the end of the level you should buy
but if something else rent
its a good game for fans of Metal Slug and games like such

This game is good but with some flaws that could be better
