Avatar: The Last Airbender -- The Burning Earth

"Avatar: The Review"
Once upon a time, the producers of Avatar decided that they wanted more money. So they went up to Aang and the gang and made a video game. But since they were on a low budget, they took out a few things like Anngs trademark move, the Air Scooter (Nooo!!!) and some episodes. Finally, after lots of hard work and innovative thinking, they presented the world with Avatar: Burning Earth! Avatar: The Burning Earth is a adventure/action game with a slight amount of real time RPG involved. It is a fantastic game but it has some minor flaws.
Graphics: 7/10 The graphics could improve a fair bit. Most things were slightly blurry but not a major flaw. At least it isn't like some other games that I have played that focus entirely on the graphics and have major bloopers and flaws. Some computer games like 9dragons do that as well. (No offense!)
Controls: 8/10 The controls are simple and basic except for changing your powerful bending attacks and characters which would be difficult if you didn't use the nifty stylus to move. The Nintendo DS has given us a wide selection of buttons to choose from and amazingly, Avatar: The Burning Earth hasn't used them all up!
Music: 8/10 The music really goes with the theme! It exposes you with a lot of Chinese style sounds. Even better is the actual speech from the characters at the end of each chapter! Although not exactly quoted from the TV show, I believe that the same voice actors are used.
Storyline: 9/10 This game also follows the TV show exactly! (Yep, you guessed it, I'm an Avatar fan.) Not including the fact that it sometimes skips episodes like Two Lovers Cave and the plot is varied slightly, (Chapter Three: The Swamp and others) Avatar: The Burning Earth has a follows the main story far better than Avatar: The Legend of Aang which was really just a side plot to the series.
Gameplay: 7/10 Avatar: The Burning Earth would have gotten a few more points if it had just been a bit harder. This game is obviously designed for little kids. Even so, it still has some glitches. Like the tunnels in the second chapter for example. Even though you can go through them, you have to go really near the edge, so that you're almost banging you head onto the walls. Battling and experience is a bit confusing as well, since a tiny spider can deal more damage than a fire nation soldier! Also, Sokka is the strongest member of your group while Katara is the weakest. (The producers are sexist! ...no offense) Lastly, this game is over way too quickly, maybe 2 -3 hours if you're an experienced and dedicated gamer!
Overall: 8/10 This game, as I said earlier, has a few minor flaws but otherwise, no problems! I'm not sure whether it'll help you understand Avatar on Tv better, but it is a good game! I know that those producers get their money, because this game is definetly worth buying!
