Spectrobes

"Just a quick Spectrobes review"
I bought this game about 2 months after it came out and I've just got back to playing it, and I cant be bothered to write loads so this is just a quick Spectrobes review. Personally, I think it starts ok, and from there it goes downhill. I thought it would be like the whole Pokemon thing, and it is...they're both completely insane! However, this is about Spectrobes...
My rating is 2/10-terrible-severe problems prevent any real fun.
Before completing the game, I think it keeps your interest, though the storyline is very basic. Until you beat the final boss, you don't actually get to do whatever you want, you have to do what all the characters tell you, and I got a bit bored of having to wander around trying to find keystones and getting giant diamonds for idiots you need help from. The huge krawl things didn't help either, just when you thought you had done a level you had another thing to fight, and if you die...you have to do it all over again. And if you think the keystones are for something special you're kidding yourself. You need them to get a bigger SPACESHIP. God. When you get to Meido, you beat the crap out of 3 bosses, one of them a plant, and then you get the classic "wow-you're-going-to-be-a-hero" scene. Now you sit through a load of credits with not even entertaining music.
After completing the game, you get a crystal saying you should go to the "Great Black Hole" to get the rest of the geos-this is the dodgy explanation for "go to the battle vortexes and win all the battles." You have to go through sometimes 70 battles just to get these ultra-powerful Spectrobes. No wonder most people choose the card input system to get the geos. You can keep going back and defeating the boss again...and sitting through more credits. If you do all this and you're like me, you get bored of training Spectrobes and finding fossils, especially that of Mesapod and Mossipod, that have only 15% of a chance of actually showing up and as you guessed this could and does get damn annoying. Excavating gets boring tiring. Going through loads of areas you you've already been to is stupid. Eventually you either reset your game, or if you're normal you simply quit.
And now that Spectrobes II is coming out, I'm not feeling very hopeful. Certainly, the makers messed up on this first installment of Spectrobes. It cant get any worse...surely?!
