Texas Hold 'Em Poker

"It's Another Video Poker Game"
INTRO
Gee, another Texas hold em game. I must admit this is unique and different from most other poker games out there. But to me the bottom line is it still is poker, and just how much poker could you play over and over so many times before you get board of it. This game has hit such a mad crazy since ESPN has aired it over the last couple of years. If it weren't for all that airtime, most people would have never heard of it. Anyway this game is meant for die-hard poker fans.
GAME PLAY
You guess it is poker! But you have different styles, 5 cards, 7 cards and the popular Texas hold'em game. This is a good aspect of this game; at least it lets you decide what kind or type of tournament you want to play. The bottom line is you start from the basement and win little tournaments and work your way up to the big ones. That's what this poker game is all about. It does a few different things then most other poker games, like shows who you are playing against and lets you study them to see how the react before making a bet or a raise. So you need to pay attention to that if you are serious about winning it all.
APPEARANCE
This is the best part of this poker game. I mean the appearance overall is just truly amazing. You get to see the people you are playing against in great detailed graphics. You can't ask for anything else better then that. This game uses the DS formant very good and to its advantage. It is great use of the double screen. The sound effects and music is ok, nothing special to brag about and nothing all too bad. The dealer's voice is nice, but I get annoyed after awhile when she keeps saying cards over and over. I rather look at them and see who has what and what is out there for myself.
OVERALL
To me this is still a video poker game, with no real money involved. If you get board or tired of bad hands over and over again, you will get tempted to go all in just for the hell of it. This is where all poker games fall short, fake money does not make up for real money. If your playing with real money it is more exciting and you play more careful. But with fake money, you couldn't care less, and play reckless. This is the flaw poker games have these days.
