Harvest Moon DS Cute
Review by amber2749
"Girls just want to have fun; Farming fun!"
So, by a long and delicate process using most of your brain cells, I'm sure you've come to the conclusion that this is a reveiw for Harvest Moon DS Cute (Not HM:DS or HM:IoH). Well, let me begin with the fact that this game was directed towards girls. Each and every aspect was delicately put together to suit the female mind. So girls (and some guys), read on!
The Redness of an Apple; Graphics
Ah, graphics. The eye's wonderful and seriously critiqued pleasure. If you're an old time gamer with and eye for flashy pixels and gigglesnorting girls, I'm sure you'll be very pleased with this game's graphical genius. Let's begin with the sprites. As you may see, sprites are the same as any other Harvest Moon game. They have style and orginality, along with a touch of simple (but chaotic) detail. If they were an apple, they'd sure be tasty! Next is the discussion of the actual map and world around you. They also have a sleekness to them and will wow anyone's (even a first-timer). I'm sure anyone would be pleased with the graphical genius of this almost flawless game.
The Juice of an Apple; Sounds and Music
Sounds, music, they affect the overall gameplay. A harmonic melody orchestrated to please the ear has a better chance then an annoying beaping noise everytime you push a button. Luckily, this game has a unique selection of music to choose from for your personal gaming favourites. Like all other Harvest Moon games, each song from this priceless bunch is a bit repetative, so you might want to mute your game for awhile to refresh. For sounds and effects sake, birds chriping and the sound of gentle footsteps through the snow are like the icing on the cake, balancing the harmony to music kind. It adds a realness to the gameplay.
The Crunchiness of an Apple; Interaction
Interaction. Can you hear me? Four syllables; In-ter-ac-tion. Without this, a game is utterly worthless. It would be a story, a book if you will. Plain and unexciting. Luckily, Harvest Moon DS Cute (Phew! Long name) has a high interaction level. Like all Harvest Moon games, it's reputation highly depends on the amount of interaction. From your classic wooing the guys to customizable farms and such, there's really a loss for words in this catagory.
The Flavour of and Apple; Gameplay Value
Absolutely marvalous! The gameplay value meets it's high standard and sky rocketed expectations. There are minor flaws in this almost perfect game, as no game is all good. But overall, the value of gameplay is good-to-go. From it's talking townsfolk to it's 'rescue the sprites' plot, the gameplay will help you determine your love for Harvest Moon. Sure, it may not be as geared toward begginers as A Wonderful Life, and may not be as challenging as Save the Homeland, but it sure does give you the challenge along with a begginer's touch.
All the Rest; Replay Value
100% replayable game. There's so many options to choose from you could play again and again.
And so, thus ends my reveiw. Hope it helps!
