Summon Night: Twin Age

Review by JCash1313

"Another great game for this series!"

I have loved playing some of the older Summon Night games and I love this one too. Summon Night always has an outstanding story and in depth characters. It always has good gameplay and decent graphics. This one for the DS is no different. It is very good and detailed if you play through the side quests. It is a little short if you just stick to the main story line. It is a good hack'em up RPG. It won't disappoint.

The story is about two kids that were involved in an accident at a Summoner's facility. They are sent to an island were a different race of half humans live. They grow up living with those beasts until they sense the Spirits are out of control. They decide to go to the main land and find out what is wrong. The characters of this game are all fun and have different unique personalities. You will quickly get favorites from learning more about them and having conversations with them during support scenes. You will learn to love each characters personality whether meek and serious or bold and witty.

The gameplay is pretty good as well. All of the game play is done with the stylus, from attacking to magic the stylus does it all. You fight the bad guys but are also helped by your party members. How much the party members like you is how much they are willing to help you. They will use more skills if you have a relationship with them than if you don't. You gain relationship points by decisions you make through out the game and also at the end of each chapter through the support scenes. At the end of every chapter you will be able to choose a party member and talk to them which will raise your relationship points. So if you want to survive in this game you will need to make friends. Trust me that makes it a lot easier.

So overall this game is outstanding. I think it is a must have for any DS owner. The only things that stand in the way of a perfect ten are it needs slightly better graphics and better multiplayer. I think if you could trade items over wifi instead of just people near you it would make the game perfect. It is close but not quite there. It is still another big score for the Summon Night series.
