"Boring, repetitive, and no fun-ess at all!"

Lego star wars, in my opinion, are one of the best games ever. Everything is legolike, and remains to stay that way. So when I heard of the Lego Star Wars Complete Saga, I decided to buy it for the Nintendo DS. What could go wrong? Everything in this disappointing, rushed game.

Gameplay
After seeing how funny and fun the other Lego Star Wars games were, I hoped for the same thing, with the taking advantage of the touch screen. But, noo. Firstly, the challenge gets STRIPPED right out of the game because of a cheat code. But thats if you use it. Now, what you go through is all the adventures of most of the Star Wars crew went through. BUT if you never saw the movies you will have NO idea where the place your going is, seeing how their is no talking. But anyway, you can even customise your own character! But this is where this game fails utterly. All the cutscenes are taken RIGHT out of the other games and made into frame-by-frame animations. With some adding onto, but most of it wasnt needed. All the characters are EXTREMELY boring. There are only 2 types of weapons in this game: Blaster, or a lightsaber. Blasters make annoying sounds and are just a bad weapon on its on. The lightsaber, no, the lightsabore, has the same animation for nearly every single person in the game. Thats right, when you have a lightsabor all you do is twist and strike, with the exception of Yoda, the Emperor, and Grevious and his bodyguard. So, different characters don't effect squat. With bounty hunters, you can throw bombs, which looked cool in other games, but now just comes flying out of your bounty hunter with no animation. Look mom! No arms! You can buy people at the shop, which is just a waste of your money.
Character customisations get boring after a while. So no thought in that.

The boss battles in this game are annoying and bad. All but one boss battle consists of somebody throwing items at you for you to send back to hurt them, flying around the place attacking you with electric, or just jumping around the place like a maniac waiting for you to slug them to continue the fight. I was incredibly disappointed at the last fight. Only 1 boss fight is a straight forward lightsaber duel. Darn. Incredibly disappointing the boss battles are. Not like the other games, thats for sure.

You can collect gold bricks and cheats doing things on levels. Their is absolutely NO use for the gold bricks. Yup. No fountain spewing infinite studs this time, folks. I really have no idea why they are put in the game. And cheats are uneeded and expensive, seeing how you can get a debug menu cheat for no cost.

There are ship levels where you fly a ship. But all this is just collecting pinkish. . . . . bombs? And chucking them at a power generator or wall. You shoot down ships, too. But still not fun, seeing how they usually just crash into you.

By the way, have you ever noticed that there is no Crude humor at the back of the box? NO FUNNY POWAAAAH.

Controls
There is not much to say here. The controls are pretty bad, you'll find yourself walking off a edge most of the time. With your blaster, its hard to aim. Your lightsaber and its spinnyness will get them most of the time. Bad control.

Graphics
The characters are 3-D, but you can still see the small cubes that make them up. I don't like how they use these graphics in DS games. It hurts your eyes, and makes you feel sick sometimes. If you use the debug cheat, everything gets messed up. You cant really see the texture on most characters. I know this is legos, but seriously. Come on.

Music
The music is a repetitive as the lightsaber. There are very few tracks and they are most of the time the Star Wars theme, which isnt so bad the first 30 times. But then gets as boring as watching ice melt. Plus, with all the blasters going of everywhere its enough to make you scream. But thats not all...

Sound
AAACK! I hated the sound SO much! All the cutscenes have like... 3different sounds. Legos tumbling together, the sounds when you use the force on something and it turns it blue, blasters, and ugh. It gets so horribly repetitive. The sounds in the levels are made up of: The dreaded blaster, lightsaber sounds, people grunting when you hit them, bricks tumbling together, and the sound when you use the force on something. Thats it.

Overall
The game has many flaws and its easy to see that it was rushed. Basically everything is bad and I can not find one part of the game I enjoyed. Go pick up the Wii version. Unless you are dying for this, you should skip it. YOU SHOULD. This game is just disappointment, repetitive boringness, bad sound and music, rolled into one.
