Review by Grandork

"Better then the first one in some aspects."

Well, I will start this review saying that this is NOT a game for casual playing, this game will make you want to throw your DS on the floor and scream like crazy. The reason for this is the unreasonable difficulty of the game.

Some things changed since the first E.O., like when you are farming for minerals, wood or fruits, you might end up ambushed by a strong enemy, they did this to make the game harder. One thing that annoyed me a lot was the fact that F.O.E. no longer give EXP, only drop items, makes it kinda sad when you put a lot of effort killing that strong F.O.E. and he doesn't even give you an item.

Graphics (9/10): Can't expect much of a dungeon crawler that was made to be old school, in it's own way the graphics are really nice. Everything in the labyrinth is 3D, except the battles. The battle sprites are all 2D, but they are all well drawn, so it's not really a let down.

Music (8/10): Nothing really special about it, it's nice, but after some time with out playing this game you will eventually forget them.

Game play (10/10): Well balanced classes? Checked. Maps that can be made by you? Checked. Dungeon Crawler aspects? Checked. This game is what you could call the perfect Dungeon Crawler, it gives you a nice set of classes to choose from, you can create your own maps, the dungeons are mazes that will make you get lost if you forget to draw your map with nice details, makes you feel like if you were in that labyrinth.

Story (8/10): The story isn't that epic, your a guy that starts a guild in a town to explore a dungeon to get rich and famous, there are some unexpected plot twists, but I won't spoil them to you.

This game is really great for those out there that love old school Dungeon Crawler and that don't mind the high difficulty of the game, some out there will actually enjoy seeing the "Game Over" screen over and over again.

Final Score (8/10): It's definitely worth getting a copy, or at least renting one to have taste of the game. It's definitely harder then the first games, so for you mas... Hm... Fans of hard games, this game is definitely the right choice. Have fun playing it and kids, please don't destroy your DS when you guys get a game over after 2 hours with out saving.
