"An extremely good remake."

When I heard that the my favorite Kirby Game from the SNES was being re-released onto to the DS, I was so happy, I started playing the SNES Version again to practice for when I got a hold of the new game. When I actually got it, I found it wasn't just another remake where a few Stages had changed, but rather it also had newer games as well. Most are hidden, but worth the trouble to unlock.

Graphics / 10: It maybe a 2-D Platformer, but as with most Kirby Games, the fantasy world graphics used throughout the game give the game's look a nice flare. Unlike most of the Kirby Games released on Handhelds since the GBA, the sprites are the right size giving you plenty of space between you and your enemies. Some of the Backgrounds from the original game have been improved or replaced while taking advantage of the DS's graphics chip.

Gameplay / 9: The games are great and the difficulty is at a good level, but Gameplay gets an 9 based off of all the games combined. It's mostly the newer Mini-Games that lower the score because they take a bit just to get used to playing them without crashing and burning so many times. The Main Games though create a lot of playable fun for hours, days, and so on. As with the original game, you can unlock over 6 Games (More in this one, but I won't tell which ones) each with varied rules, but of course the one thing that remains constant is a huge variety of Copy Abilities and the Ability to create Partners based off of Copy Abilities for added support.

Controls / 10: The newer games require the Touch Screen to play, but other than that Gameplay is reliant mostly on Button Control much like the original Game. In regular Games like Milky Way Wishes, the Touch Screen mostly serves as a way to select options from menus. The Controls are very loyal to the original Game, but the fact that you can now drop your copy ability without first making a partner was time saver. This feature was not included in the SNES Version.

Plot / 8: The Plots of some of Games are pretty flawed while others blend in the Stages included in the Game pretty nicely. At least one of Plots wasn't exactly original like in the original game. Spring Breeze was basically a shortened version of the Original Kirby's Dreamland. Dynablade pits Kirby against the giant bird Dynablade who's wreaking havoc in Dreamland. Gourmet Race plays a familiar tune to many Kirby Fans while you have a friendly race / eating contest with Dedede. The Great Cave Offensive has Kirby searching for Treasure. Revenge of Meta Knight has Kirby trying to stop Meta Knight & his crew from wreaking Dreamland with his battleship, the Halberd. Milky Way Wishes changes Copy Abilities a bit while Kirby travels the cosmos to find the wish-granting comet, Nova.

Music / 10: In addition to the original tracks, a few newer ones have been added, but it's mostly Bosses that get the new Music. As with a lot of the Kirby Games, the Music is infectious and tends to make you hum the tunes at the most strangest of times.

All in all, the Game receives a perfect 10. Nothing more to say.
