Review by RogueSonic

"The Best RPG game ever."

I don't know where to start with this game.

Gameplay 10/10

The gameplay is the same type you see in RPG games: turn-based fights, exploring a big, open world, going wherever you want to, and, most importantly, doing whatever you want to. I can't really say anything else, except for the fact that this has some sort of resemblance to Pokemon! The music that starts when you enter a battle sounds like a better version of the pokemon battle music, and to top it off, the screen also goes black for a few seconds. You can "capture" monsters when you get a wagon, and there's also rest music that plays when you rest at an Inn. Not to mention that the sound that plays when you enter a building or go upstairs in someplace (something like ch-ch-ch) is the exact same from Pokemon. For the battles, well, you obviously fight monsters. It's turn-based; each of your party members out on the field (up to 4) get a turn, they'll do what you tell them to, or they'll do they own thing, depending on what you set their tactics to. There's also minigames, like Whack-a-Slime, T'n'T (Treasures'n'Trapdoors), you can bet on monsters to fight, slimes to race; you can even enter your own slime into a race. Did I mention you could recruit monsters to fight for you when you got a wagon? Not much else to say. Moving on.

Graphics 10/10

The graphics are awesome. Almost everything is 3D; Like cutscenes and cities. The characters and monsters are very well designed. This is a HUGE improvement over the SNES version (or Super Fanicom; I can't remember whether this game was released only in Japan at the time or not.). Not much else to say.

Plot 10/10

The plot is that you're a young boy, who you name, travelling around with your father, not sure what your looking for with him. But when your father dies, you are enslaved for 10 years. Once you escape, you decide to finish what he started: Search for your long-thought dead mother, the Zenithian equipment, and the Legendary Hero. The plot is perfect. Couldn't be any better. Not much else to say about it.

Overall 10/10

This game can't possibly get any better. Everything about it is perfect. The Best RPG game I have ever played, the Best game on the DS, I might add. The price tag's not half bad either. So buy the game, and have a nice day.
