Kenshuui Tendo Dokuta
Review by Arcade
"First review! Anyways, great game, but not import friendly"
So how can this game be great if it's not import friendly? Well, playing through it the first time, trying to figure out what to do and all, is actually a challenge!
Here are the basics of the game: You talk to people, and they'll give you certain "face pics" as I like to call them or "item pics". When you talk to someone you basically have to choose which picture to talk about. Nothing happens if you guess the wrong picture, so just keep trying until you find the right one.
Sometimes you'll get a patient and have to touch them to find out where the pain is. You aren't punished for guessing wrong here either. Sometimes you'll also get an x-ray and have to circle something.
Surgeries can be a pain! You are given what I call a "life bar". You will usually have to: choose correct picture, cut somewhere or trace. If you do any of these wrong the life bar goes down. This is where the game loses points. Since it's not import friendly, you'll usually be doing trial and errors until you find the correct pic or make the correct cut. Writing down what you did will help out alot if you "die" and get game over. However, except on tracing, you can save and quit anytime. Abuse this during a life bar battle if you can't read Japanese.
There are also what I call "heart battles" in which you talk to someone. Basically, you have a life bar and must guess the correct picture to fill the heart otherwise it's game over. So save and quit here alot too or write down the answers.
It may sound lame to some, but there is a story which I'm actually guessing at what's going on. There is little animation, but when there is some it's your classic Japanese anime poses which rules!
A challenge? You bet, especially if you can't read Japanese? Good length? Yes, once again, especially if you can't read Japanese. As much as I'd love to give this a 9 or 10 I can't, because like I said it's not import friendly. And after you guessed on one thing for a while until you finally get the answer can be annoying at times. But if you do decide to get it, stick with it! It's a very entertaining piece of work!
