Asphalt: Urban GT
Review by darkmagician11
"Don't like racing games? You will after you play this!"
Asphalt is a great game, and very realistic. It is better than any other racing game, and you don't need to buy a television or a controller to play it!
Graphics (eight out of ten)
The graphics will get your eyes glued to the screen, making you think you are actually driving a car!You have a big selection of cars that all look realistic too! When you use turbo in this game, it just goes a little bit faster, but it looks like you broke the sound barrier at only 160 MPH. Also it is kind of dark and the headlights don't work.
Sound effects ( three out of ten)
A major downfall in this game. When you hit the breaks and turn just a little bit, it makes a loud screeching sound that makes you wanna rip your ears off .Also, when you hit a wall lightly, it makes a loud BANG sound and has the same effect on you as the screeching.
Controls ( ten out of ten)
Easy controls for a racing game. Usually theres a "Turn camera" button or something in a racing game, but all this has is B for accelerate, A for turbo, X to use the breaks, Y to honk your horn, and D pad to move.Easy controls, but the switching buttons makes your thumb a little sore.
Camera view (nine out of ten)
The best camera view for a racing game I have seen! The camera makes it so you are always seeing in front of your car so you can see the track. However, sometimes when you are breaking and turning, the camera goes a little off and messes you up.
Difficulty (two out of ten)
Not a very hard racing game, but it gets a 2 because of sharp turns and camera bugs. Nothing else is very difficult about this game.
Buy or rent: If you aren't buying a DS just for this game or already have a DS, buy. If you seriously HATE racing games, or are buying a DS just for this, rent to try it out and buy if you like it.
