Tiger Woods PGA Tour

Review by KingBrolly

"The Stylus at its Best!"

When I picked up Tiger Woods PGA Tour for Nintendo DS, I expected the same of it from the other golf games. It delivers! Not only do you get the Stylus out to play with it, you can easily navigate the menu screens with the D-Pad and X-Y, A-B buttons. Let's go through a rundown:

Controls: 7/10
The controls are pretty much what you think. You hold where you want to start, then drag it through the meter. You have to drag it straight for a good shot, left for a draw shot, or right for a pulled shot. The only problem is that the touch screen is really sensitive, and you might have to start over again numerous times before you start where you want too.
The Boost Meter, you just try to go up and down really fast across it. For the ball at the bottom of the screen (when its spinning), use the stylus to move it anyway you want for a better landing.

Graphics: 6/10
Okay, it looks like the N64. It's small, hard to see, but luckily there's enough stuff in this game that you won't have to look at it long. So, even though the graphics are bad, they're not going to take away from gameplay.

Game Modes: 8/10
Since you can earn $ at any level, even if its freeplay or multi-player, this is a really bonus. So, if you want to play for fun, and not on the Legend Tour, you can still earn $ along the way, making it a great advantage to any other player-person attribute system.

Stylus Factor: 10/10
You will definitely need to use your stylus for this game. If you use your fingers, your screen will get scratched like nobody's business. It takes you like 5 minutes to get the hang of using the Stylus in this game because its so important.

Replay Value: 8/10
There are 3 files in this game. Meaning if you've been playing a lot on 1 file, and are getting bored with it, just switch to a new file! You'll surely get your money's worth in this game (I paid $29.99 for it, so it's a good price). If you have no other DS games to buy or play, play this game, because it is worth it.

Overall: 39/50 = .78 = 8/10
If you see this game, you should definitely pick it up. Even though the graphics are sub-par, they hardly come into play with this great game.
