Zoo Keeper
Review by radred2004
"There is always fun at the zoo!"
I thought Zoo Keeper was a great game. It is fun to try even if you don't like puzzle games. If you try this game you will probably not be able to put it down.
Story: 6/10
How can you possibly make a story out of this game or any puzzle game? The only story to this game is that you are the zookeeper that has to line up animals so they can be captured, and also to do what the head zookeeper tells you to do. This game works somewhat well to the story and is mainly just a puzzle game. I thought it was a great effort to put in a story into this puzzle game, because it seemed hard to do.
Gameplay: 10/10
Zoo Keeper is hard to put down once you start playing. There are five modes to play, each different in some way: Normal, Quest, Tokoton, Time Attack, and 2P Battle. How can you possibly get bored with so many modes of game play? Also, in options you can change normal to easy or hard to what best suits you. In Normal Mode, you must capture a given amount of animals before time runs out to go to the next level. In Tokoton, you can increase your points by collecting 100 of one of the 8 species, but this also increases the difficulty. When you play Quest, you have to clear 10 challenging stages. Time Limit gives you six minutes to try to get the best score. Lastly, 2P Battle is where two players can go head-to-head with two Nintendo DS systems. You can reduce your partner's timing by capturing animals. The first person's timer to reach zero loses the game.
Graphics: 9/10
The cartoony graphics in this game are very colorful, clear, and lured me to the game. As I played on the touch screen, the animals on the top screen did funny things. The creators of the game did a great job with the beautiful graphics.
Music: 3/10
The music in Zoo Keeper is very distracting, like it is trying to mess you up. However, it isn't that bad of a situation since you can just mute it.
Replayability: 10/10
When I played this game, it was so fun and addictive I couldn't put it down. If you get bored playing one mode you can choose another mode to play instead. There is always something fun to in this game. Also, another challenge can be trying to increase your previous scores.
As I have stated before, Zoo Keeper is a great addictive game to try. Even though the game was expensive, it was worth every cent. If you enjoy the game, you may never get bored with so many modes to play!
