"One of the better games out there for the DS"

I recently picked up GoldenEye: Rogue Agent for the DS and I must say that it is great. This game is not perfect mainly because of the sound but I still think that it is one of the best DS games out there so far.

Graphics:
GoldenEye: Rogue Agent is a FPS (First Person Shooter) for the DS with 3-D graphics. I was surprised at how detailed some of the things in this game are. One of those things were the guns. They have a lot of detail to them like little holes in them and designs. But one of the bad things is that there are not many different character models for the enemies so they get repetitive sometimes. But thats not really a huge problem in this game.

Story:
The story is very simple. You were dismissed from MI6 for your brutal tactics. There is no place at MI6 for an Agent like you. Now you help out other villains from the 007 movies, such as Dr. No with all there evil plans.

Sound:
The music in this game is terrible. Luckily it is only noticeable in the main menu and in multiplayer. Not in the campaign. But other then the music the sound effects are pretty good. The gunshots sound realistic and not like a toy. And the explosions sound the way they should too. And sometimes the enemies with make a grunting noise when you shoot them. Sometimes even the main character will make a noise when he does gets shot.

Controls:
The controls are hard to get used to at first but with time they do get a lot easier to use. With this game I would recommend that you also pick up the Thumb Strap. It makes it so that you use your thumb for a stylus instead of using your whole hand with the stylus pen, leaving you other fingers to shoot or throw grenades. You can pick up the Thumb Strap at EB Games and probably other places.

Gameplay:
This is a really fun game that you can pick up and play. Like the other 007 games out there this game has missions. In each mission, you get objectives that you must complete in order to beat the level. If you like FPS then you will like this game. If you don't like FPS then try to play it first if you want to buy it anyways. This game has three different difficulty settings that you can choose from. I found easy to be a little easy and normal to be hard. I have not tried hard yet.

Final Recommendation:
I would recommend that anyone who has a DS to go buy this game now. It is a great game that will last you a long time. It was worth the 40$ Canadian that I paid for it.

Final Score: 9/10
