Tiger Woods PGA Tour

Review by sk8terguyjake

"A great DS game, possibly the best on the market!"

Well, okay how do I start, this games awesome. I might go as far as to tsay the best available for the DS. Mind you, I'im writing this review with Splinter Cell and Goldeneye out, so yeah this games great.

Controls 10/10

This is probably the best part of the game, and they did a great job with it. So the deal is, you have a little circle on your touch screen, which is a map of the course. You put it where you want to hit it, and thats how you aim your shot. Now to swing, you have to start at the top of the touch screen, and swing down, then come up, hitting it straight and smooth for the most power. Last and not least is the putting, they do this by having a graph, and one square over is equal to two feet. Your caddy will tell you, 3 feet short hit it 2 feet 6 inches to the left. Ya hit it and thats how you putt, which is easy to pick up, and yet not easy to master. I've gotten pretty good at this game so I can hit anything within twenty feet. Okay, I'm sidetrackin a bit. This is probably just me noticing something but, how's it said politely, THE TOUCH SCREEN HAS BEEN ABUSED!!! The touch screen has been misused, they're making all of these bad touch screen games, such as pokedash. Lots of other crap too, so yeah. But thats not the case here, as I played it I thought the touch screen was used to utter perfection. It just feels good! So yeah, big ups on this.

Graphics 7/10

The graphics are okay. Nothing in comparison to the PSP's but hey the psp doesn't have the touch screen so I don't care. You cant really see a persons face, or the trees are a little blurry. THe graphics as a whole could have definitely been better, but it honestlydoesn't matter. I played mario golf for the gameboy color, and I still could have a lot of fun playing that, even with its two d graphics. In a golf game, it just doesn't matter. This is probably the weakest point in the game

Sound 8/10

I'm not sure what to say here. When you're hitting you can hear birds chirping and little sound effects, but thats it. Not really any music, or anything like the such. So yeah it sounds okay, but to be honest, any music would be distracting so they did the right thing, put the sound effects in and had a little ambient sound. So I'm giving it an eight not because of complicated marvelous sound, but because the developers didn't want to mess with sound, like goldeneye's producers.

Multiplayer N/A

I haven't really played this yet at all, but from what I've played this could be really fun. I just imagined playing someone and yeah thats cool so yeah. Also, you earn money to upgrade yourself even if playing multiplayer.

The Bottom Line: 10/10

Buy this game today! this is an awesome game, i'd say the first one to use the touch screen without abusing it. It's fun addictive and challenging, but not too hard. You can play it in small doses considering you can save during your event . So this game is I think maybe the best on the market, along with goldeneye rogue agent and splinter cell chaos theory.

Thanks a lot for reading through my review, so just at the end just say if it was helpful or not, so I can know if my reviewing writing is good, or if I should write it differently. Okay thanks a lot.
