Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends
Review by BassForever
"The DS Killer App? The next Tetris?!"
Nintendogs is here for the DS and is definitely a must have for any DS owner. This game is a SIMULATOR so be prepared to say sit, sit, sit 800 times before your puppy learns its first trick.
.
Graphics-For a DS game this the best looking DS game ever made. It doesn't compare to the PSP but looks about early to mid PS2 quality. The backgrounds are kind of bleh and not very thought out but you will hardly notice with your cute puppies filling the screen. You can collect hundreds of items that are all very well detailed and add to the game. 9/10, those backgrounds are sadly kinda lame
.
Audio-The music is very Nintendoesq, happy and cheery and fits the situation well. The puppies all sound like dogs and objects that are thrown knock around like they should and frisbees slice the wind when you throw them. 10/10
.
Gameplay-This game is just, WOW, it is incredible, with over 20 breeds of dogs to unlock and over hundreds of items you will have alot to do. You can teach your dogs lots of different tricks from Sitting and Rolling Over to Jumping and Chasing It's Tail. You can have up to three dogs out at any one time and can interact and play with all three. You can take your dogs for walks around town where the can meet other people and their dogs. You can head to the park where you can practice throwing a frisbee and a gym to help your dog learn to compete in dog shows. The three test are a frisbee catching tournament, a obedience tournament, and a obstacle course. There is just so much to do in this game it is hard to slim it all into one review. Other things you can do include grooming, dressup, feeding, watering, jump rope, on and on and on. 10/10
.
Replay-With two player support, 20 unlockable dogs, and tons of items to find Nintendogs will give you hours of enjoyment. 10/10
.
In conclusion, Nintendogs is a great game that will appeal to videogamers, parents, siblings, politicians, friends, neighbors, herbrew monks, and cat owners. The pacing starts slow and can be frustrating at times (like when your dog falls asleep you have to let him sleep for a few hours). The game uses the in game DS clock so for the impatient people out there can change the day and keep on playing.

Final Score 10/10
