"A cute little chat system, and one of the only free-plays for DS."

Introduction:

As the title says, Ping-Pals is one of the only free-play games for DS out there. If your a fan of free-plays and like collecting then this would probably be a really good game for you, even if you don't have any friends who have a DS/will get the game.

Graphics 6/10

Ok, if you like awesome graphics, you will hate this game. The drawing are good and everything, but the DS is capable of displaying much better than pixel drawings. I wasn't so impressed. Also, in the Mini game High-Lo the color of the background sometimes shows up in his hair. A little bit glitchy.
Final Note: Not good, but not bad.

Game play 7/10

The gameplay is pretty good, but sometimes typing can be a pain. So if you plan to connect with people and chat a lot, this could be a major down-fall. But if its just you and the game, you won't have to say much more than yes or no. Partly because that about all the characters can understand, making it slightly un-realistic.

But the other main part of the game is your avatar. Its a little picture with a person on it. You can buy clothing and accessories for it and dress your avatar up to really look like you. This I was really happy with. There are literally THOUSANDS of items you can use, and if you are bent on collecting everything this game will keep you very, very busy.
Final note: Pretty good.

Re-play value 5/10

Not really good. As I said before, if you want to collect everything this will take a long time. To be frank, it can get boring. But it also has a pretty good come-back. I didn't play the game for about 3 months once, and then I started playing the game again and it was as if it where new again for a month. And this happened again.
Final note:Not impressive, but it will last a little while.

Total: 7/10

Conclusion:

A good game, and I still enjoy playing it. But if you trying to decide between this and some other game, I would advise the other game if you really want it. This should only be purchased if you have a spare 30 bucks and are getting board with your current games. But still worth it.
