"This is the Best Mario Game Ever!!!!!!"

People easily mistake this game for the Nintendo 64 Version. I have to say that it is much better than the first. You can do a lot of new things that you weren' able to do in the Nintendo 64 Version, such as characters, mini games power stars and many more. The Nintendo 64 Version is similar in some ways, and different in other ways. I'd have to say that this version is better than the first version. I think that this is the best Ds game I have ever played. I think that about all of the Mario games, but this has a different touch in it that makes it better. I'm telling you that this game is the best game I have ever played, and this review will tell you all about it.

Story 9/10

The game's story is about four enjoyable characters, Yoshi, Luigi, Wario and the most famous Mario. Mario, Luigi and Wario get a private invitation from Princess Toadstool (Peach) telling the three characters to come and have cake that she has made. When the three go into the castle they don't come out. After a while Yoshi, who did not go in the castle, is a little worried so he decides to go inside the castle. When he goes inside toad tells him that Bowser has stole the power stars along with Peach and put them in different paintings. Toad also tells him that the characters have been locked in a room and that he must retrieve the keys in the painting to return everything back to normal. So now it is up to Yoshi to go and retrieve the power stars from the evil Bowser and save the three characters that are locked into doors. I give this story an easy 9/10.

Gameplay 10/10

In this game you can do a variety of things, from fighting enemies to retrieving power stars, from defeating bosses to collecting coins. You may enter stages and search through the level for all of those things to do. You have to unlock the characters for those times when you need their special ability. You can use the power block hidden inside a red block, which gives you these powers. When you enter a boss stage you must complete the stage to the very end. When you do that, a portal will send you to whose ever level you are in. Once you reach the boss you must defeat him in a special way. Sometimes you may have to hit the boss. Sometimes you may have to swing the boss. When you defeat the boss you will obtain a character key. Once you get that key you go to the character door and unlock a character. Once you unlock that character you can go save the other characters locked in the door. A new feature in this game is the mini games. The games are sorted out by character. You start out with two mini games per character. In the main game you must catch the rabbits to obtain their key and unlock a mini game. You need to use different characters to catch the rabbits so you can unlock their mini games. Once you have done all of those things you get 100%. The gameplay is great and is a big part that makes the game good. Therefore I give the gameplay a definite 10/10.

Sound 7/10

The sound is probably the part of the game that was really weird. It was weird but okay. For instance, when you hit an enemy with a character they make the weirdest sounds ever. The sound is weird when you jump, back flip, hit, long jump, retrieve a power star, obtain a key or defeat a boss. The sounds weren't really bad, but were just not familiar. In some parts of the sound, the game did a good job. However, in the other parts it wasn't that good. That's why I gave the sound a 7/10.

Graphics 10/10

I think the graphics in this game are excellent. They really showed the character's description. They made it really look good when the character took action. The enemies looked great. The bosses looked excellent. The characters, especially, looked awesome. The levels looked cool all around. The castle was okay and the outside was the best because of the trees, sky, birds and the waterfall. The graphics really improved from the first version. They are better in a variety of ways. The graphics in the mini games were pretty good, but not as good as the main game. The graphics played a big part to help this game make it to the top. The graphics receive two thumbs up. So I give it a 10/10 for the graphics. Good job Nintendo.

Music 8/10

The music gets an 8/10 because in some parts it was okay but wasn't really that good. On the other hand, some parts were extremely great. I really enjoyed the music outside. It is the best part of the music in the game. However, the mini games weren't all that good. They just didn't go with the rest of the game. The beginning music was really good along with the music that you hear when you pick your file. Nintendo did a great job on that. The castle music is okay, but can get annoying after a while. The rest of the game's music was really good. I think that the level music was pretty good. In some levels it was good, but in the others it wasn't. The boss music was extremely excellent. That is one of the main reasons why I give it an 8/10.

Replay Value 10/10

After I finished this game I went on to play it many more times. Even though you have played it and finished it, it still great to play over and over again. I wanted to play this game over because it was fun, enjoyable, and exciting. I loved doing the stages because they were challenging to receive the power stars. One of the best re-playable parts was fighting the bosses. It was fun when you fight the boss with the character that was supposed to be locked up. The bosses were challenging to defeat but after a while you will get the hang of it. You would really want to play the mini games over because that is one of the best re-playable parts. The mini games are fun to play and they are fun to replay because you want to try to get a new high score every time you play it. That is why I enjoyed replaying the mini games. Another great part to do over is to retrieve the power stars. You may do this 3 times because there are 3 files. However if you want to do it again, you can delete one of the existing files to play it over. After I played this game I played it over and over again, and then twice more. I enjoyed playing this game over and over and you will too.

Buy or Rent?

I say buy, buy, buy, buy, buy and then twice more, then three more times, then two more times, then five more times until I have enough words to submit this review for you, and again. Buy it. Even though it is a little expensive, it is totally worth it. You can buy this game at your local game store. If you want to get it for less you can go to eBay and search for a cheaper price online. You must go to video, Ds, then type in Super Mario 64 Ds and it should bring you straight to the game. It is definitely worth the money and you will never want to put it down. The price is no match for the game. I say buy it; however if you don't feel like you want it, don't get it. For the other people who are not sure, buy it. For the people that want it, get it right away. I will say it again and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again; it is totally worth the money.

Overall 10/10

I will end this review with a 10/10. The Overall for this game is excellent. Some parts weren't that good if you add them all together the get the perfect score. Even though some parts weren't all that great, it is just some parts and the excellent parts outnumber them. This is one of the best, best, best, best, best, and the best games I have ever played. I think that is the best Nintendo DS game out right now. Nintendo has made a great game, and I congratulate them. I give it the best score ever. I hope you enjoyed this review a lot and will think about getting it. If you get it I hope you enjoy it like I did (which you will). Great job Nintendo for making this game.
Now I end it with: Goodbye.
