Spider-Man 2

"A horrible underrated gamed..."

Let's get this started shall we. I love Spider Man, I'm a huge fan. So guess what? a couple weeks ago I got my DS I went down to my local game store and go Spiderman 2 for 20$... A great use of money...

Graphics: Holy crap was I suprised when I turned on my DS and started Spider Man 2... The graphics are incredible! Something you would expect out of the very late PS1 games or perhaps very early PS2 games... The game is so colorful. It's great. One thing is this game frusturates me a little in the aspect that it is only a side scroller and you can see all these amazing wonderful looking buildings and cars and things in the background and I just wish I could go explore all those things closer up but I can't due to the fact its a 3d side scroller... Oh well the graphics are still the best I've seen on the DS... Asident from maybe Metroid Prime: First Hunt... Graphics on Spider Man 2 and 9/10.

Sound: The sound effects are great from the punching and kicking sounds to the screams when you web your enemies off the sides of buildings. Also something I was suprised about was the fact this game has voices. The people you have to rescue scream "HELP!" and it's very useful to help locate them. Sometimes enemies and boss characters taunt you. The only bad thing in the audio department is the music really really isn't good at all... Sound: 9/10

Gameplay: The way the game plays is really what everyone cares about isnt it? I think so. Some people might not like this game very much. Others such as my self will love it. Sometimes the levels have time limits and it's really really hard to unlock all the special moves and health meter upgrades. To get those you have to complete all the secondary objectives in a level which involves you retaining a certain amount of your health or beating the level in a really really short amount of time that is far below the amount of time you have before you fail your primary objective. I really like the controls in this game though there very cool. There's also a bullet time like thing going on where if your being attacked you can press your L button and everything goes orange and slow and you do more damage it's pretty cool but the effect only lasts a few seconds but it's pretty useful. Gameplay: 9/10

Overall: If this game had bad graphics I wouldn't love it so much. this game has a few flaws but it's just so darn fun and so darn great looking I can't not love it... a perfect 10/10 for Spiderman 2 if only because it's great fun and great looking...
