Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
Review by 1guynamedchris
"May the Force be with you young one. This games good."
Introduction -
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith was my second game for the DS, and it's quite a good game, small, yes, but it's still a good game and I think you will enjoy it. So read on and may the force be with you.
Gameplay - 9
This is best part of the game of course, throughout the game you can have control over both Obi-Wan Kenobi and of course Anakin Skywalker, each has his own moves, as well as specials, and force powers. Obi-Wan is more a defensive character, while Anakin is the more the offensive type, and has the more offensive force powers. Both characters have there own set of levels, where on the way you fight different droids, and later on the much more tougher enemies. There are three difficulties, Padawan, Jedi and Master which will be unlocked after winning on Jedi. After every few levels you will fight a boss and get a new special power, where you'll either have to press certain buttons together, or touch the power on the bottom screen. The controls are smooth, with many combos. As you go through levels you destroy scenery to get health, more force power, as well as Green Gem shaped things, that will let you upgrade you're force powers at the end of the level. Master is very hard and you will die a lot, mostly with Anakin, because his levels are harder then Obi-Wan.
This game is action packed, so you can have, at times, the hole screen full of droids which makes it all the more fun to kill them all. In a few levels you get to have dogfights in you're ships, while you destroy other ships. It also has a special mode where you get to unlock new ships, and play multiplayer with others near you, this is fun, and might have you playing for a while. The touch screen doesn't come in to play much with this game. So sorry if that's what you expected.
Story - 8
The story start with Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, going on a mission to save the Supreme Chancellor Palpatine from Count Dooku. Most the people here have probably seen the movie and already know what's going to happen. Along the way they both go on separate journeys. The story is good as with most Star Wars movies, so I hope you enjoy it.
Graphics/Sound - 9
This game, despite being a DS game is a 2-D side-scrolling game with alright graphics, but that is because this is a port from the Gameboy Advance, the only thing new is the dogfights, and there also the best looking part of the game, not the most fun, but coolest looking. There are many different looking levels, all of them look well designed, and all the bosses look cool. The sound is of course excellent as Star Wars music usually is. All the music is great, and it's even got the scrolling lettering at the start with the awesome music playing. So have fun.
Play Time/Replayability - 8
You will be replaying this game often IMO, not only because it's fun, but you'll need to get all the Skill Points and Speed Points in each level, as well as find the hidden ones lying hidden in the scenery.
Final Recommendation -
Well first rent it, unless you really want to buy it now, and then if you like it buy it.
Hope this helped, have fun.
