Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team

"Megaman has his first DS excursion but is it worth it? Yeah it is!"

Mega man BN 5 DT DS (to big of a title) Is a port of Mega man Battle network 5 (not to big of a title) from the GBA. However, Is this version better then the original? Well lets find out in my review of Mega man BN 5 DT DS which I am going to call MM5DS for now on.

Graphics 7/10

For a MMBN game the graphics far surpass the rest of the series by a long shot. However there are no improvements from the GBA and the DS version which is what you would except from Crap com. Backgrounds and character models are colorful and better looking then the rest of the series. This is not the games selling point but the graphics don't stink like the King Kong DS game.

Game play 8.25/10
MM5DS restores the basic repetitive game play of the MMBN series with team battles! Although you probably will not need them half of the time It is kind of cool to use them. Also the dark chip issues with MMBN4 have been fixed and you can now find dark chips like you can find any other chip. The new thing here is Liberation Missions! These little missions turn the game into a tactical strategy game which might I add is SO COOL! Also did I forget about touch screen menu support *GASP*!

Sound 6.75/10
There are voice over's now which would be fine if they where not poorly done. I seriously do not believe Lan's Voice should be as deep as a 40 real old dude who lives with his mom eating potato chips all day as he rots into a couch potato. Other then that it is pretty well done. background music and sound effects are pretty much a remix from the old game which is not bad its just not good either. Hopefully the game play makes up for it.

Replay value 7.5/10
You can choose between team Proto man and team Colonel. However, There is barely any difference between the two of them. You might want to play this game again to experience the power of transport chips to switch between team mates from the two teams. You might want to give this game a second go when your taking that long car ride to California this summer (If you can afford it )

Overall 7/10 Good but to similar to the original
