Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time

Review by Connecti0n12

"Great Game! But its lacks a Mario RPG Factor"

Ok, I'm writing this review for Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, great game, but for only playing it 1 time because it lacks Sidequest, but in general the game is made like Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, the same Gameplay, same graphics. It's a fun game to play anyway, let's go to the scores.

Gameplay: 7/10

A great idea the one of making each button do an action of a character, it's fun to play and easy to control, the only thing that I don't like is the frustration of changing the actions with R and L, I hate changing it all the times for getting a bean, another thing is that the controls are pretty much the first game: Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, a last thing is that I think that Bro. Actions were great, they erased them and changed it to Bros. Items, a great idea too, but, why not mix them up? The game will look very nice, the Big Bros. do the Bros. Actions and the tykes do the bros. Items, another thing is that why not use the Bros. Items outfield. And the idea of the present being hub world, it would be nice to be in each location the past and present and the things that you do in the past keep up in the present. Well, a really last thing is that the HP is greatly increased, the monster have Incredibly high HP, and Mario too, but Nintendo didn't do it a little more simple, usually the boss battles are very long. So I'm giving it a score of 7/10

Story: 9/10

Very original, Peach goes to the past, she gets attacked by the Shroobs and Mario, Luigi and the Babies save her. OK, Mario goes to save Peach is the history of all Mario adventure games, but every games have a twist, like the thing to go back to the time, the thing is how the past can be attacked and the present be normally, its kinda odd. But anyway the story is very original. So I'm giving it a score of 9/10

Graphics: 10/10

Although the same as Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, they're great, cartoony but 3D, the graphics are better than Paper Mario graphics, nothing more to say, only that they're excellent. Very satisfied. So I'm giving it a score of 10/10

Sound/Music: 10/10

The music is great, let's say, the creepy forest has creepy mysterious music, the evil factory has evil factory music, things like that make the great awesome. I've never brought the sound interrupter below than MAX, it's awesome, the sound is great too, the characters talk much more with real voices than any other RPG Mario, There are some words that you don't forgot, like when Mario says BABIES!!! or when Baby Luigi says Thank you very much! The voices are great, it's pleasant to hear them. So I'm giving it a score of 10/10

Replayibility: 1/10

You beat the game, great. I'm gonna do the Sidequests now. ERROR! The game lacks Sidequests, a fundamental factor for Replayability in Mario RPG, this is the only thing that really, really, disappointed me of the game, I think if Nintendo does another Mario RPG, Please they put lots of Sidequest, because when you beat the game you keep whit an idea like: "I wanna do another thing now that I beaten the game, but I don't wanna do ALL the game over, that is boring, I wanna do something different, a Sidequest" See, I'm very Disappointed whit this. So I'm giving it a score of 1/10

Conclusion: 7/10

Buy?

A great game if you're introducing to a Mario RPG because it's the best game I've seen whit gameplay, although you have played Mario RPG before I think that you buy Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door or wait for another Mario RPG, but the thing is pretty much like Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.

Great game or not, a fun game to play, hope that this review change your ideas.
