Tetris DS

"Fun new spins on the old tetris."

So, this is the new Tetris for the DS. A wonderful addition to the system in my opinion, it has nice 6-gameplay modes, and wifi connection- so, let's go.

8/GAMEPLAY- Well, what can I say. Tetris has always had a good fun system, but this is better. In the 'Catch' Mode, you revolve the whole Tetris stack in order to catch blocks. When you make a big enough square in catch, you can blow up Metroids with it. Did I mention that 'Catch Mode' Has Metroid-themed Backgrounds? Also, 'Mission' Mode has a lot of fun things to do. You play as Link (Legend of Zelda-themed Mode) on an adventure, and you are given a certain time to complete it. Then there is Push Mode, which has you in a Pushing match against D.K. Then there is touch mode, which has you solving puzzles by moving blocks via stylus or going in tower mode where you need to get a cage of baloons to the ground. (Balloon Fighters Themed-Mode) Standard mode has you watch Mario in the background as he fights Koopas and goes underground, depending on how you do. Also, in 'Puzzle Mode' You have Mario bake Donuts & Sweets for Yoshi to eat while you solve you're puzzle, Very fun and innovative. Of course Metroid Prime Hunters may take you're attention away from this game (btw I love MPH)

8/ SOUND- Unexpected twists to all sorts of Nintendo soundtracks abound as you progress through each level and enjoy the game.

8/ Multi- Awesome, b/c you can have a game with up to 10 buddies with one single tetris card. And Wifi has always been a nice treat addition to any game, and this one follows suit with nice gameplay.

8/ Graphics- Can't penolize the graphics b/c they are just Tetris blocks, however some of the backgrounds are quite fluid in motion and look good even though they are 8-bit (or 16-bit)

Now, this game was enjoyable, but not as good as Mario Kart or Metroid Prime Hunters. But, that is my opinion, not your's. So, I'd say buy on this one
