Here see some tips on using the FAQ faster to help you get through
   the game.

   * SEARCHING *

Whether you're looking for an item or needing to find the right
path, by using the searching method it would really save to some
time from scanning throughout the FAQ. By pressing the key
[ CTRL + F ] a search box will pop up. Simply type in the name of
a place, boss item, ect and click Find Next to search.

   * PRINTING *

Though you may only use this FAQ for personal use only, you may
   still Copy [CTRL + C ] and Paste [ CTRL + V ] a part of the FAQ on
to another Word Editing Program and print it for your convenience.
That way, if your computer is far away from your game you don't
have to walk back and forth to see what you need to do next.

   * READING THE MANUAL FOR THE BASICS *

The game should come with a manual (if it's not used). Some
slackers is to lazy to read a few short pages about the game by
themselves so they always email me about stupid questions on the
basics of the game. If you don't have the manual check out the
Game Basics section of the FAQ if you need further help or
   understanding about the game.

   * ASK ME :) *

Though I will not answer any questions regardless of any game
through email, you may contact me by Instant Messenger (check
Contact Information section). A word of advice, I am rarely on but
whenever you IM me always have manners. I might not reply back fast
for I may be busy at the moment.

   * VIEWING ASCII ART *

As you man have already notice, throughout the FAQ I will put in
ASCII text art. If you can't seem to see it well, try viewing it
   from a far.

As you can see from the list above, there are many kinds of Pokemons
and abilities. They each have weakness(es) and their each immune to
something. Let me explain it a little bit better for you.

Pokemon Type = Weakness and Resistance
A Pokemon has 2 main types of attributes, a weakness and a resistance.
Note, few types of Pokemon don't have one of the two. The resistance
Let's say you have a Pikachu. Pikachu is an Electric type Pokemon.
I stated that electric Pokemons are strong against Ice and Water
type. And there weak to Rock and Ground types.

The Pokemon resistance is usually the same type as it. But also note,
that some Pokemon's weakness is their same types (ie. Ground, Dragon,
   ect).

The Pokemon's weakness is usually the opposite of its type. If the
Pokemon is fire, the opposite of fire is water.

   Rock/Ground Type > Electric Type
When a Pokemon uses Rock/Ground type ability, it will be Super
Effective. meaning it will do a lot of damages to your Pokemon.

   Electric Type > Ice/Water/Fire Type
As you can see, the electric type Pokemon have the advantage over
Water/Ice/Fire Pokemon type. If you use an electric ability, it will
do more damage to the Fire/Ice/Water type Pokemon. For it will be
   Super Effective.

Type Of Abilities = Not very effective or Super Effective
Aside from many Pokemon types, there are also types of ability.
The type of an ability effect the Pokemon weakness and resistance.
Let's say you use an Electric attack against a Pikachu that would
end up being Not very Effective, for the Pikachu is an electric type.
But instead, if you use a Ground/Rock ability, that would result in
a Super Effective state, causing more damage to the other Pokemon.

Get it yet? If not, let's have an example match.

   Your Pokemon : Charizard
   Opponent's : Venusaur/Blastoise/Magmar

Let say that your Charizard knows the ability, Fire Blast. Since
Venusaur is a Grass type Pokemon, fire ability will result in
Super Effective, causing more damage to the opponent. Once the
Venusaur is defeated, your opponent will sent out a Blastoise.

Blastoise is the opposite of your Pokemon type, making it your
weakness. Your fire abilities won't do a lot of damage to it
for it can resist it. Blastoise's water based attack will result
Super Effective for your Charizard, causing a lot more damage.

Now let's say your opponent uses a Magmar instead of a Blastoise.
Magmars are Fire type just like your Charizard. It's fire based
attacks on your Pokemon will result in a Not very Effective
   state.

If you've watched the show, the battle mode is completely different.
This is very confusing and difficult for me to explain, but I'll try
   my best.

HP ~ Hit Points, think of it as life points. If your Pokemon
runs out of HP, they are Coed.
PP ~ PP determines how many times you can use an ability.
EXP ~ Experience Point. You receive this for your Pokemon at
the end of the battle if they're not Coed.
LEVEL ~ As you gain EXP, once you've achieve enough your Pokemon
will gain a level. By raising a level the stats of the
              Pokemon is increased.
ATTACK ~ Attack, determines the damage your Pokemon will do.
DEFENSE ~ Defense determines on how much damage your Pokemon will
              receive.
SPEED ~ Speed is to determine if your Pokemon gets to go first
in the battle. You must have a higher speed then the
              opponent to go first.
SPECIAL ~ Determines your defensive against special attacks.
ACCURACY ~ Determines on how often you will miss attacking. The
The higher the accuracy the less chance of you missing.

~ Raising Stats up Items ~

Aside from gaining stats up by leveling up, you can also get some
more stats by using items as well.

Now you are probably asking, why the heck did I add this for the
battle Mode Explained? It is the first basic step for understanding
the battle mode. Same thing from above (the types), it is a 'must-
know' fact for understanding the battle mode.

Now that's all set, you think you can battle yet? Err... There is
still one matter left to know about :P

Anyhow, now let's get into the battle mode now. You do know that a
battle starts once you're challenged by trainer, get a random
encounter, or challenge a Gym Leader (or Elite Four) right?

   Random Encounters
Random encounters are...ummm...well... randomly encounters! The only
place you're going to get a random encounter from is grassy areas
or inside a cave. A random encounter is when a Pokemon randomly
comes up to you. You will have to battle/capture/run away from that
   Pokemon.

   Trainer Encounters
As you continue your journey throughout the game, you will be
challenged by a trainer if they spot you. Here's a little map to
   explain.

                           _________________
   As you can see from | O < X! | O = You
   the example to the | |ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ| | X = Trainer
right. If the trainer | ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ | ! = They Spotted You
see's you, he or she ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
will then challenge you to a battle. So how do you avoid these
battles? Easy just don't let them see you and move on. Here's another
example for you to understand it better.
                    __________________ The '<' and '>' represent the
     O = You       |         < X >    | direction of the trainer's view.
X = Trainer | |ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ| | As long as you stay away from
   < > = Directions| ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ | the direction they're looking a
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ will not have to battle them. So
you if they're looking to the right and that's your only path, wait
until they turned around, then make a run for it. But noted, trainer
battles are very helpful for trainning your Pokemon. I would recommend
   battling every trainer you see.

As you enter the battle you will see the following :

The '##/##' is meaning how many HP your Pokemon has out of the
maximum. As you may have already notice, you cannot see your
opponent's Pokemon's HP. But you may see their levels, as well as
   your own.

FIGHT ~ If you choose this command, you will see 4 abilities you
Pokemon knows. You then can choose from the abilities to command
   you Pokemon to do it.

ITEM ~ You may use an item to heal or cure status on your Pokemon.
By choosing this option, you will see a list of items you currently
have and that you can use.

PKMN ~ This is the option if you want to change your Pokemon in the
battle. If you choose this, you will see all of the Pokemon you
currently have in your party. Noted, the Pokemon that are in your PC
   will not appear.

RUN ~ By choosing this option, you will try and flee the battle. Be
noted, that you cannot flee in a trainer or gym leader battle.

As you start a New Game, you will see a guy in a lab coat talk.
His name is Professor Oak. Here is what he is going to say :

Hello there! Welcome to the world of POKEMON!
My name is Oak! People call me the POKEMON PROF!
This world is inhabited by creatures called POKEMON!
For some people, POKEMON are pets. Others use them for fights.
Myself... I study POKEMON as a profession.
                         First, what is your name?

Now you can pick a name or create your own. I suggest leaving it at
Ash. For that's what I'm going to refer you to throughout the game.
Once you're done picking your name, you can pick Professor Oak's
grandson name. I also recommend leaving it at Gary. Now the game
   starts!

              ==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==
                          Pallet Town , Route 1

You are currently in your room. Exit by going down the stairs. You
will see your mother sitting at the table. Talk to her! She says
that Professor Oak is currently looking for you. So leave the house
and travel north, into the grassy area. !! The Professor will then
rush up to you! Watch the small scene where he captures the Pokemon
called Pikachu. Once done, the professor will then take you to his
   laboratory.

It seems that the professor's grandson is here also. After the small
talk, Professor Oak will tell you to go and get the Poke Ball on the
table. Do so, walk to the table and pick up the ball. !! Suddenly
Gary runs up and snatches the Pokemon from you! Don't worry, the
professor then will quickly give you the Pokemon you saw earlier.
A Pikachu! You may rename it to anything if you like.

Once done so leave the lab. !! As you leave Gary will come and
challenge you to a Pokemon battle!

                               ~ STRATEGY ~
This is your first Pokemon battle! And it's an easy one too. You
cannot do anything but Thunder Shock from Pikachu, so just do so.
Eevee will tackle you for about 6 damage or so, so be careful! Your
Thunder Shock should Paralyze Eevee if you're lucky. There's nothing
else you can do. If you manage to beat Eevee your Pikachu will grow
a level higher and you will get $175 also, but if you lose nothing
happens. Win or lose this match doesn't really matter.
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

After the battle, Pikachu will leave it's Poke Ball. It seems that it
doesn't like to stay in it. You can now talk to Pikachu to how it
feels. Now leave the lab and return back to your house. Talk to Mom
and she will fully heal your Pokemon. Leave the house and head north.

You will come across a guy, talk to him and he will give you a
Potion. Continue heading north and you'll eventually reach Viridian
   City.

              ==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==
                                Viridian City

Now you are in the city called Viridian. Go into the Pokemon Center
and fully heal your Pikachu if you need to. Then go into the Pokemon
Mart. Located northeast to the Pokemon Center. Upon entering the
sales clerk will ask you to give Professor Oak's his orders. She will
then give you Oak's Parcel for you to take back.

Now you must return to Pallet once again. So go south. Note, incase
you didn't know, you can jump over the small ledges. Making you
   journey back to Pallet easier.

Once you've returned, go into Oak's Laboratory. Go up and talk to the
Professor. After all of the chatting the professor will then give you
and Gary a Pokedex. A Pokedex is a machine that tracks the Pokemon
you see and captured. It can be very helpful for finding the Pokemon
   you've missed.

Anyhow, once Gary left, he will say something about asking his sister
for a Town Map. do so, leave the lab and go into the house to the
north. Talk to the girl sitting at the table. She is Gary's sister,
she will then give you the Town Map! You may use it by selecting it
in your item inventory. Let's continue. Leave the house and then once
again travel back to Viridian City. if you don't remember it is just
   north.

Now you can purchase some items at the Pokemon Mart. I recommend
getting a hand full of Poke Balls and Potion. Now go into the grassy
areas south of the town and search around for a Pokemon. Be sure to
capture a few! Once you've done so, heal at the Pokemon Center in
Viridian. Now there is 2 options you may choose. You can either go
west and battle Gary for some money or you can just skip him and go
   north.

If you wish to battle Gary. I suggest you have a couple of Pokemons
and have their level at least 7 or higher. Heal at the center if you
need to, once read go west. Follow the path and then you will soon
   spot Gary!

                               ~ STRATEGY ~
His first Pokemon is Spearow. And you know what bird Pokemon’s is
weakness is? Thunder! So use your Pikachu's thundershock and it'll be
super effective! You should be able to defeat the Spearow in within 2
turns. Once you defeated Spearow, Gary will sent out his bets Pokemon.
You guest it! Eevee! It seems that Eevee is also improve just like
your Pikachu. Use Thunder Wave to paralyzed Eevee. Now just keep on
hitting him with thundershock. Eevee will try to lower your defense
with Tail Whip and as well as you accuracy with Sand-Attack. So
be careful! If Pikachu gets to weak use a Potion or change Pokemon.
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Once the match is done, return back to the Pokemon Center at Viridian
to heal. Now go all the way north. As you continue going north you
will see an old man blocking your way. He will blabber something about
coffee and then will apologize to you. he will show you how to catch a
Pokemon. He will fail to catch the Pokemon and will leave. Ha! Old
fool! Anyhow, once the lesson is done, continue going straight north
and you'll be on Route 2.

              ==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==
                                 Route 2
              ==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==

Nothing to do here but to go north. Do so. Note, on your way you may
notice some trees blocking some ball shape things. You will get those
later in the game. So don't worry. Continue going north and you'll
reach a large building. Enter the building and exit through the other
door. You will now be in a forest of some sort.

                 ==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==
                                Viridian Forest

Trainers : Lass, Bug Catcher x3

Treasures : Potion x2, Poke Ball
   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Viridian Forest is just a my maze filled with some trainers and bug
Pokemon. If you have caught a Pigey, then nothing to worry about. For
bird Pokemon has the advantage over bug types. Anyway, let's continue.

From the entrance of the forest choose the west path. You will get to
a Lass. She has two Nidorans, make quick work of them with your
Pikachu. Now go north and you will get a Poke Ball. From there go,
east and you'll end up back near the entrance you came in from.

Now from the entrance, follow the east path. Follow that path and
you'll soon reach a Pokemon Trainer, a Bug Catcher. All he has is
2 Caterpie, so you should have no problem beating him with your Pidgey
   or Spearow.
____________________________ Once you beat him, go further north
   ! T I P ! and you'll meet another Bug Catcher.
!----------------------------! All he has is 2 Metapod and a Caterpie.
!It is wise that you train ! The Metapod won't ever attack you, so
!your other Pokemon beside ! this is a good chance for you to train
!Pikachu. For there will be a! up your weak Pokemon.
   !very difficult battle ahead.!
! ! Once he is defeated go further north and
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ you'll see a Potion. Now go west and
you'll end up at a Bug Catcher. Use the same strategy for him as above.
Now just follow the path and you'll end up at a Potion. Now follow the
path you see and there will be a Bug Catcher. He has a Caterpie, so as
you can see it is very simple to finish it off quick by using Gust or
Thundershock. After defeating him, just go north and make your way out
of the forest. From here continue north and you'll reach upon a city!

   Gym Leader : Brock

   Trainers : Junior Trainer (m)
   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Firstly before doing anything, heal at the Pokemon Center, for all of
your Pokemons are probably tired out by now. Next go to the Pokemon
Mart and stock up on Potions and Poke Balls.

For those of you who've watch the show, probably know that the gym
leader in this town is Brock. Brock uses rock Pokemons that can
resist thunder type Pokemons. Now you must prepare your other Pokemon
before heading into battle. First, make sure you have a Caterpie or
a Metapod. If you don't go capture one at the Viridian Forest. Now you
must level up your Caterpie or Metapod to level 10. Just a little bit
to the south of the city, there is a grassy area. Train up there. If
your Pokemon is too weak to battle, use the trick from the above
section (Game Basics). I know it may seem a while but it'll be worth
it. You also need a Nidoran, regardless of it's gender. train it up
to at least level 12. You do not need to train you Pikachu, for it
will be of no use against Brock.

Once you have a Butterfree, go and buy at least 3 Potions. Trust me
you'll need it. The Pewter City Gym is located west of the Pokemon
Mart. Enter and it will look like this :

   OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO T = Trainer
   O X O
O Brock O As you can see, it's quite small. You can skip
OOOOOO OOOOOOO the trainer by just going behind, but I would
O O suggests you battle him for some trainning.
   O O OOOOO O
O T O If you decided to battle him, he has a Level 9
O O OOOOO O Diglett and Sandshrew. Use your Butterfree Confusion
O O or Gust from your Pidgey to finish them quickly. You
OOOOO[] []OOOOO will get $180 as a prize. Now don't be lazy, leave

the gym and go back to the Pokemon Center to fully heal first. Once
you've done so, head up to Brock!

   ---------------------------------------------------------------------
   TRAINER : Brock : TRAINER
   POKEMON : Lv.10 Geodude ; Lv.12 Onix : POKEMON
   WINNINGS : Boulder Badge ; $1188 ; TM34 : WINNINGS
   DIFFICULTY : Normal+ : DIFFICULTY

                               ~ STRATEGY ~
For Brock's first Pokemon, he will use his Geodude. I recommend that
you use all of your weak Pokemon and try to finish up Geodude first.
For you will need to save your strong ones for the next enemy ahead.
So use your Nidoran, Pikachu, Pidgey, Rattata or any other weak
Pokemon and try to finish Geodude. Also, be sure to heal with a Potion
   every once in a while.

After Geodude is done, Brock will sent out Onix! Onix will sometime
use Screech to lower your defense, so be careful! If your defense gets
to low he can finish you in a few hits! Onix will also use Bind a few
times, but that's nothing to worry about, for it's pretty weak. The
thing you should be careful of, is it's Bide attack. It will not
attack for a few turns and then it will unleash energy, causing major
damage! So get ready to heal before Onix uses it! You should still
have your Butterfree, so use Confusion to do some damage. Pidgey's
   Gust will also work well.
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Now leave the gym and go heal at the Pokemon Center. Also buy some
Potions or Poke Balls if you are in need of them. Leave town by going
   east of the Pokemon Mart.

As you may see from the map above, that this is just a little maze.
Just a quick note, the ledges are jumpable on top. Meaning you can
jump off one. Use the map I created above to guide you through this
little puzzle. I didn't make it for nothing you know ;) I suggest
that you battle every trainer there, for you need the money and the
   experience for the battle ahead.

Make your way to the other side and go east. You will come across a
Lass. She only has a Jigglypuff, so make quick work of her. Now
just continue following the path and you will end up at a Pokemon

see a Lass. She has a very strong Clefairy , so watch out! Continue

From the ladder, go to the right part of the cavern. You will get
an Escape Rope and a very useful Rare Candy. You'll spot a Bug

him there is a Super Nerd. Beat him and get the Potion behind him.
Now, from there just head all the way north and down the ladder.

Follow the path you see here and it will lead you to another

is the member of those atrocity Team Rocket! He has some weak
Pokemon so no problems there. Once you beat him go and get the
HP Up to the east. Now return all the way back to the main cavern.

Instead go north and you'll get to a Lass. Beat her puny Pokemon
and continue west. Now go down the ladder here. Follow the path to
the west and then you'll end up t a big room. There is a man another
Team Rocket Member! Beat his Ekans and Zubat! Then go up and get
the TM01. Now return to the main cavern region.

Follow the path further and you'll get to a Youngster. Beat him and
go north and you'll get to a Hiker. He has 2 Geodudes and 1 Onix,
be careful! If you're to weak, I suggest you backtrack back to the
Pokemon Center. Beat him and get the Moon Stone before going down
   the ladder.

Follow the path and it will lead you to another ladder. Now go down
the platform and you'll see a Rocket. This one is a little harder
then before, but shouldn't be too difficult for you to take down.
Once you've beaten him, follow the path to the east. It will take you
to the south and west and then north of this cavern. You will see a
Super Nerd. After beating him, he will let you choose one fossil as
a prize. Pick wisely for you may only get one. Here is what they are
   going to turn to :

Helix Fossil = Omanyte Dome Fossil = Kabuto

Be noted, that you cannot revive the fossil until later in the game.
So don't get all excited for some reason. Now continuing following
the path until... Team Rockets! 2 Team Rocket member (you should
know who they are if you've watched the show) will come and challenge
   you!

Team Rocket can be difficult if your Pokemon is quite weak at the
moment. That's why I suggested that you should go back to the Pokemon
Center first. Ok, let's get to the strategies now.

There first Pokemon is Ekans. It's pretty weak and simply, Butterfree
or Pikachu can take care of it. Meowth is the hardest Pokemon they
have. It's Bite and Scratch will do quite some damage if you're weak.
So be sure to heal up! Koffing is nothing to worry about. Though it
might poison your Pokemon if you don't finish it off quickly!
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Once you've defeated them they will say the same line they say
before. "Were blasting off again!". You will get bored of it very
soon, I assure you. Anyhow, you must've been really bored being
caught up in this cave. Go into the ladder and follow the path and
you will be outside! Now just walk all the way east and you'll soon
   get to Cerulean City!

   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

What's the first thing you do when you enter a new city or town?
You visit the Pokemon Center! Duh! So do so. After healing, go into
the house left of the Pokemon Center. Enter and talk to the girl
next to Bulbasaur. Now leave the house and go into the Pokemon Mart.
Get plenty of Potions or Poke Balls for the trip ahead. But wait!
What about the gym leader Misty?

As mostly all of you have known already, Misty uses water based
Pokemon. So what's good on water? Thunder! It's time for your
Pikachu to shine! You will need to train it up to at least level 15
or 16. There's a good place to train to the west of the city. In the
grassy areas. But if you want to train faster, I suggest going
straight in the gym and battle some trainers.

    | | | |ŻŻŻ| |ŻŻŻ | | I suggest that you will only use your

    | | |____ | | | will need to train it! If you want to skip

    | ŻŻŻŻŻ|[] []_|____| | regret it.
    |_______| |________|

So just go around and battle with your Pikachu. The first trainer,
Swimmer (the one in the water) has Horsea and a Shellder, both at
level 16. The Junior Trainer (f) has a level 19 Goldeen! So it might
put up a fight for your Pikachu. Now after beating both of them, go
to the Pokemon Center and heal before going up against Misty.

                               ~ STRATEGY ~
Your first battle will be against Staryu. I suggest using your weak
Pokemon on it and try to take it down first. If they fail, then sent
out your Pikachu to finish it. Staryu only uses Water Gun so it
shouldn't be to difficult to take it down.

Now after you've defeated Staryu, the true match begins. Starmie, the
evolve form of Staryu, is very strong. Before doing anything,
Paralyze it first. Then hit away with Thundershock! A good strategy
is to keep your Pikachu alive the whole time. Once it gets too weak,
sent out another Pokemon. Then instead of attacking with the newer
Pokemon, just heal Pikachu until it's HP is full again. Then sent
   out Pikachu.

Your other Pokemons won't be able to do a lot to Starmie because of
it's high defense. To make it worse, Misty will sometime use X
Defense to boost up it's defense! Thundershock will be the only thing
that will be effective. Keep your Pikachu alive!
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Leave the gym once you've acquire your new badge. That's two down six
more to go! Heal at the Pokemon Center, then go into the house to the
east of it (the one with the Bulbasaur). Talk to the girl and she
will say that she will need a good trainer to take care of her
Pokemon. That trainer is you! You now have a Bulbasaur. I suggest you
go and train it up. It will be very strong once its leveled up!

Now for the future battle, you will need a rock Pokemon. I hope you'd
capture a Geodude or Sandshrew, for they will be very strong in the
   next gym battle.

So let's continue with the walkthrough, shall we? Go north of
Cerulean. Gary will then come out to battle you!

Finish up Spearow quickly with your Pikachu's Thundershock. It will be
super effective against it. Gary's Sandshrew will use Sand-Attack to
lower your accuracy, so finish it off quickly. Rattata is very weak,
so no problem there. As for Eevee, it will also try to lower your
accuracy as Sandshrew. Just finish up quickly.

   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Once the battle is over, go back to the Pokemon Center and fully heal
   before going further north.

   Prize : Nugget ; $450

The Nugget isn't use for anything. You can sell it for $5000 at a
Pokemon Mart though. Let's continue. If you're too weak, don't
hesitate to go back to the previous Pokemon Center in Cerulean. To
the northwest of the bridge you will see a man. Don't worry no
battles here. Talk to him. He will say that he hates to abandon
his Charmander. He will ask you to take care of it for him. Do so!
Congratulation! Now you have a Bulbasaur and a Charmander! Just like
Bulbasaur, you should train Charmander so it can be stronger.

Grab the TM45 near the man and then go east. There is a little simple
maze for you. I'll do my best to map it out.

near the house, you can now enter it.

Your Pikachu will rush up to the strange creature. Talk to it, to see
what it is. It turns out that he is Bill the Pokemaniac. He will ask
for your help for the Teleporter. Once he has enter the teleporter,
to and use the PC on the desk. It will then turn Bill back to normal.
For your reward, Bill will give you a S.S. Ticket! Which will be use

Heal and buy some Potions. Then go into the house north of the gym

some of the people. It seems that Team Rocket has robbed the house!
Leave the house through the back way and talk to the guy in the
black suit. He's with Team Rocket! Now you must battle him!!

He has a Level 17 Machop and a Level 17 Drowzee. You can defeat
the Machop easily with a flying type or psychic type move. The
Drowzee on the other hand is a bit difficult. But shouldn't be to
tough for you to deal with. After you win you'll receive $510 as a
prize and a TM28 as well. TM28, contains Dig. It's a very useful
ability for the next gym battle and for in caves as well. Teach it
   to your rock Pokemon.

Now don't be lazy. return and heal at the Pokemon Center. Before
leaving Cerulean. Go back to the house that you've got dig from and
continue going south from the back entrance. No battles here or
anything to do but go south. You may also stop by at the Day Care
house (in the middle path) to drop off a Pokemon. The Day Care man
will raise it for you. Anyhow, southeast of the Day Care center is
a Underground Path to Vermillion City. So take it! In the
Underground Path, there is nothing to do but to go straight south.
Also listen to the catchy tune ^_^

You should now end up on Route 6. I suggest you go around searching
for the trainers and battling them. You will need your rock/ground
type Pokemon up to at least level 20 for the battle ahead. Once
you've defeated all trainers, just continue going south and you'll
   soon reach Vermillion.

the gym for now. Since you can't get in it anyways. Talk to the
guy that is blocking you access from the S.S. Anne. Show him the
ticket, you've achieve earlier to pass. Dock the ship.

Inside, there are many rooms and trainers. I suggest you go in each
and battle all of them. There will also be some useful items here.
So just go around every room and battle every trainer you see.
Noted, before going up the stairs on the west side of this place, go
to the southwest side of this floor. You should be at the kitchen. To
the west there is three garbage cans. The last one (furthers
south) has a Great Ball!. Now leave the kitchen and go back to the
main deck. Before going upstairs, go downstairs first. The stairs is
located on the southeast part of this deck, incase you haven't
   notice.

trainning for your Pikachu and Bulbasaur. Now return to the 2nd floor.

Now go into all of the room to the east and battle every trainer and
get all the items like before. Now before you continue to go north. I
highly suggest fully healing your Pokemon at the Pokemon Center
first. For you are going to fight a tough nemesis. Once your Pokemon

As you can see, Gary has barely improved from the last battle you had
with him. His first Pokemon is a Spearow as always. So use your
Pikachu's Thundershock and you may kill it within at least 2 turns.
The next opponent is Rattata. Also very easy to defeat. I use my rock
Pokemon, Geodude, to get the experience for the battle ahead.
Sandshrew is also easy to take down if your Bulbasuar knows the Vine
Whip ability. As for Eevee, finish it off before it can harm you. It
will rarely attack, for it will try to lower your stats most of the
time. Not a tough match for you.
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Now go up the stairs to the Captain's Chamber. Talk to the captain
and Ash will rub his back to make him feel better. He will give you
the HM01 as a reward! The HM01 let's your Pokemon learn the Cut
ability. In case you don't know what's the difference between an HM
and a TM I'll explain it. An HM will also let's you learn an ability
that it contains just like the TM. But the difference is that the HM
can be use over and over again for as many time as you can. The TM
can only be use once. Now you can leave the S.S. Anne. As you merely
got out of the ship, it wills departure. Oh well there go your ride :(

suggest going there until you have made some preparation first.

First of all make sure you teach the ability 'Dig' to Geodude or
Sandshrew. Preferable Geodude, because it's stronger. Then level up
your Rock/Ground Pokemons to at least level 20. Train north of the
city. For there will be weaker Pokemon there. Now that that's all
set, buy some Super Potion at the Pokemon Mart. Preferable 5 at
most. Now make sure all of your Pokemos are fully heal. First off,
before going to the gym, talk to the officer standing in the middle

Once all the chatting is over. Go south and use the newly achieve

                               ~ STRATEGY ~
Though the lieutenant only have 1 Pokemon. That Pokemon can easily
take out your whole party! I suggest you start off with the weaker
Pokemons first. Save your Rock/Ground type(s) for later. Firstly
use your Pikachu or any other Pokemon that can paralyze on Raichu.
that would cut the opponent’s speed and chances of defeating your
Pokemon. Now use all of your weak Pokemon and try to get it's HP
lower. If all of your weak Pokemon dies, you should still have a
Rock/Ground type to finish up the job.
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Leave the gym. Use Cut to get rid of the tree. Go and talk to Officer
Jenny, that you've spoken with before. She will say that you are the
right trainer to take care of Squirtle. She will give you the water
Pokemon! Go to the Pokemon Center and get your newly acquire Pokemon.
Now that you have Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle, I suggest you
train them to their second evolution. Teach your Squirtle the TM11
you've receive from the gym leader Misty before. Your Squirtle will
now know the Water Gun ability! You may also teach your Pikachu the
Thunderbolt ability from the TM24 from Lt. Surge if you want to.

Now, I'm going to lead you to a kind of sidequests. It doesn't take
very long so don't worry. First go into the house next to the
Pokemon Center. Talk to the Fisherman. He will ask if you like to
fish. Answer yes and you'll receive the Old Rod! You many now catch
water Pokemons in lakes or on the shore of the ocean! Second, leave
the place and go inside the Pokemon Fan Club, located north of the
gym. Pikachu will rush up and inspect the weird looking Pokemon.
Talk to the man all the way to the north. He is the leader of the
Fan Club. Hear him brag about his Pokemon stories. After the long
blabbering, he will hand you the Bike Voucher! That thing is a
coupon for getting a bike in Cerulean City! So! What are you waiting
   for? Off to Cerulean again!

Walk all the way north back to Cerulean. You can pick up the Pokemon
at the Day Care center if you'd left one there. Back at Cerulean, go
to the Bike Shop located due west of the Pokemon Mart. Talk to the
shopkeeper to exchange your Bike Voucher for a Bicycle! Now take your
newly acquire vehicle and go back to Vermillion City. Noted, you can
use your bicycle in the Underground Tunnel on the way!

Once back at Vermillion, heal and buy some items if you need to. East
of the S.S. Anne harbor, there is a cave there. In the cave, there
are only some Diglett and some Dugtrio if you're lucky. So use your
Squirtle and it's Bubble Beam ability or Bulbsaur and it's Vine Whip
ability to defeat them more easily.

                 ==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==
                   Diglett's Cave , Route 2 , Vermillion City

Treasures : HM05, HP UP, Moon Stone
   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The cave is fairly short to get through. Once you are inside, talk to
the man if you wish. Then go down the ladder to the lower level. Now
just follow the path west and soon north to get out. Since this is a
fairly small place, you might want to train up a little bit and capture
a Diglett. Also if you're lucky, you might find a strong Dugtrio once
in a while. Try to capture the strong Pokemon! Anyway, make your way
to the other end of the cave and you'll see a way out.

You are currently on Route 2. from the cave go directly south. You
may go inside the house you see if you like. Inside there is a boy
that will wish to trade you a Mr. Mime for your Clefairy. If you do
not have one, don't worry, you can trade later. Now just continue
going the direction you were going. Cut through the bush you see
(south of the house) and go all the way south into a large building.
Inside, talk to the guy in the lab coat with the glasses. It seems
that he is one of Prof. Oak's aide! If you have capture at least 10
different kind of Pokemons he will give you a special item, the HM05!
Which contains the ability lash. Very useful for your next
destination! If you do not have enough Pokemon, I suggest
backtracking back to the previous areas. But the walkthrough will
have to go on. So I'm not going to tell you anything there.

Anyhow, I suggest teaching the ability to your Butterfree (you should
have on). It only good for now, the ability will be useless in the
future. leave the place and you will see an HP Up. Continue going
south once the item is acquired. You will also come across another
Moon Stone, just south of the HP Up. Now that, return back to
Diglett's Cave. Go back to Vermillion City! Heal at the Pokemon
Center, get some items, do as you wish. Once you are ready, travel
all the way back to Cerulean City (located north of Vermillion).

Nothing much to do here now. There is a tree to the right of the gym,
CUT through it and you will be on Route 9. The route looks something

heal and save at the nearby Pokemon Center. Then approach the tunnel.
Note, there is a Lass you can battle nearby. Fight her if you wish.

Go down the ladder that you see. Now follow the path southwest and
you will encounter another PokeManiac. Use Pikachu's thunder-based
abilities to finish his Slowpoke fast. Follow the path until you
see a path to the north. Take it. Don't bother going west there isn't

continue following the path. You will meet up with some other
trainers here. But nothing to worry about, they are all easy. Now go

From the area you are at now go down and battle the Hiker you see.
Then continue south to battle another Hiker if you want to. The
stairs here are located to southeast part of where you came in
from. There will be a Hiker nearby it.

In this area, You will see 2 directions to go to the left of the
stairs you came in from. There is nothing to the north so forget
about it. Go the other direction. Battle the Jr. Trainer (F),
then you will see 3 paths. Don't sidetrack by going north or south,
instead go the path with the Hiker (the west path). Then from there
go north and you will battle a PokeManiac. Go to the ladder located
   north him.

Woo! You're almost out! Just last for only a little bit more then
you're out of here! From the stairs go south, you will have to battle

Unlike the one creepy town of Lavender, Celadon is a very active
and huge place. There are many things to do here. I will guide you
through this gigantic place. Note, there will be something to do
here later on, but let just focus on the gym battle for now.

As you might have notice, there are some Team Rocket member
walking in town. But you will know why they are here later. Now
let's do something... Take the path to the north right of the
Pokemon Center. Follow it north and then west, enter the backside
of the large building. Climb up all the stairs until you've reached
the final floor. Enter the room you see. There will be a ball on the
table in this room. Grab it and you have obtain an Eevee!! Now you
can turn it into any of it's 3 form if you wish. You will simply need
the stone for it. It can be purchase in this city. So leave that
building and go find the PokeMart. You can't really miss it, for it
   is a huge building!

The PokeMart is about triple the size of any of the marts you will
see in the world! It has many different floors you can go to (by
using the elevator or by going up by stairs). Check the POKEMART
section of the FAQ to find out about the place. Anyway, go to 3F
and talk to the guy at the counter, he will give you a TM18.

Travel up to the sixth floor of the building (you can only go up to
5 in the elevator, you will have to go up 1 set of stairs to reach
it). Examine the soda machine. You will need to buy some sort of
drink. Doesn't really matter which kind you pick. Just buy one drink
and save it for later. DO NOT USE IT NOW!! You are now done with this
   building.

Now it's time for the Celadon Gym. Make any final trainning if you
want to (there is a grassy area outside of Celadon to the right). Get
some Super Potions, Antidote and Revive if you want to. Then go to
the southern part of this massive city. Cut down the tree and follow
   the path to the gym.

The first Pokemon you will face will be Tangela. It isn't very
difficult to beat. It mainly uses constant attacks like Bind and
Constrict. Though they are annoying, it won't do any major damage on
you. Quickly finish it off with Charmeleon's Ember. Though it might
take a few round, due to the enormous HP Tangela have.

Be sure to keep your Charmeleon in top shape for the next opponent!
I suggest that you bring out your other Pokemon to weaken her
Weepinbell. The Acid attack from it can be lethal! Weak it and then
once you feel that it is the right time, sent out Charmeleon and
use Ember or sent out Butterfree to use it's confusion attack. Both
are super effective against the enemy. Also note, Erika might heal
it during the battle once in a while so finish it up quickly!

Her last Pokemon will be Gloom. Heal your Charmeleon or Butterfree if
you have to. Just one more to go! Gloom will also use acid just like
Weepinbell. So have those Super Potion nearby. Also watch out for the
continuously attack call Pedal Dance! it will attack with a grass
type attack continuously! If you use Charmeleon it will not be very
   effective.
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Whew! After that toughie battle, there is only one thing for you to
do now. Go HEAL! Heal up at the center and get some items if you want
to, for there will be one more thing to finish up at this city. And
   it won't be easy!

front of a poster. talk to him and he will challenge you! Defeat his
useless Raticate and Zubat quickly. Once he is defeated, he will say
something about his "hideout" have been discovered. Let's follow him.
Examine the poster he was guarding. there seem to be a switch under
it! It will open a hidden door to the lower section of the Game
Corner, the Rocket's Hideout! Enter the place.

This place consist of four floors. We start at the first one.

1F : Start by going the west path. There will be a Rocket Member,
beat him and then go into the room to the south. There you will get
an Escape Rope. Now go the other room located to the east of this
floor. There will be a Rocket guarding the entrance, so you must
battle him. If you check the room there will be a locked door. We
must get the key to unlock it. Go down the stairs (located to the
right of the one you came in from).

2F : This is a huge room and it is a big maze also. But it will also
contains some valuable items for you. Start out by going south of
the stairs you came in from. There you will have to battle another
Rocket. Now before tackling the maze, don't you want some good items
first? Well go down the stair to the north of the Rocket guy.

3F : From the stairs, go south and battle another Rocket. Once he
is defeated, go further south and get the TM10 there. Now go back and
go west from the stairs this time. This will be another maze, but it
is much smaller. I will try to illustrate it for you.

4F : You cannot do anything in this floor yet. But let's might
as well pick up some items while we're here. Go to the most northern
room and grab the TM02. Then battle the Rocket you see. Once you beat
him, he will drop a Lift Key! Now go to the room to the south of that
and grab the HP Up on the table. Now you must backtrack yourself back
to Floor 2. Read the above if you need to, just get all the way back
   to 2F!

2F : Now you can go through this gigantic maze! Since I couldn't
possibly draw you an ASCII art for this, I will try to guide you
through the old fashion simple way. Left of the Rocket, that you have
defeated there 2 left slider. Take either one it doesn't matter. If
you take the north one, take the one that is going up. it will take
you to the far left side of the room. Now here is the tricky part.
Make your way back to right but do not get on a slider! You should
see a Nugget. Now this time, go south and get the Moon Stone. Now,
go on the right slider that leads you to the item to the right of
the stone. The item is an TM07! Now to the south of the item you will
see three sliders. 2 to the south and 1 that leads north. Go on the
left south one. Now there will be 2 choices. For there is 2 sliders
to the right. Take the south one. Now go on the slider that is to
the left (the one that is going right). You should now see 2 sliders
going left, right south of you. Take anyone you want. Both should
lead you to the western part of the maze. Now there will be 2 sliders
going north. Take the one on the right. then make your way to the
item you see. It's a Super Potion! Now retrace yourself all the way
back to the place where you saw the 2 sliders going left. But this
time take the north one. Now go on the final slider going east and
you're out! Sorry cannot explain this puzzle well. It isn't so hard
anyway, just read this over and over and you should get it. Now
before you go on the elevator, go up the stairs back to F1.

This is simple just battle the 2 Rockets in this room. Then get the
Hyper Potion, to the right of the second Rocket member. Now return
to the previous floor and go into the elevator. You can now unlock
it because you have the Lift Key. You can go straight to 4F but I
recommend that you go and get some trainning first. So return to 1F
in the elevator. and battle the Rocket there. Now if you are weak
from all of the battling, I suggest you go back and heal. It will be
a quick trip back up thanks to the elevator. Once you're ready go to
   4F in the elevator.

4F : The first step you take Team Rocket will show up. Remember them
from Mt. Moon? Now let's beat the heck out of them again!

Finish their Koffing up with the ability Dig. One hit will take it
down. A few quilt move from your Pikachu and their Meowth will go
down. You can probably guess which Pokemon is next. Ekans! So easy
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

After the pathetic match, watch them blast off once more. Now before
going north, go west and grab the Iron before you do. Now continue
onward! Go up and talk to the man you see.

   ---------------------------------------------------------------------
   TRAINER : Giovanni : TRAINER

   DIFFICULTY : Normal : DIFFICULTY

                               ~ STRATEGY ~
The first enemy will he Giovanni's Onix. Simple, if you have teach
the Mega Dragin ability (from Erika the gym leader) to your Bulbasaur
then you can take out Onix without any problem. If not, then use Dig.
Onix will mainly uses Rage, which will do tiny damage at first, so
finish it off quickly. Now for Rhyhorn! Another rock type Pokemon. So
use the same strategy you'd used on Onix to it. the lst Pokemon the
guy have is Persian. Since it has a fighting-type weakness, use a
Pokemon with a fighting ability. If you do not have one, simply beat
it fast with your Pikachu. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that
Giovanni will use Guard Spec. and some other status raising items to
his Persian. But it will still be no match for you.
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

After the match, the leader of the rockets will drop an item. Which
turns out to be a Silph Scope! It will allow you to see ghost
Pokemon! Now you should know where to go next ;) First of all leave
this creepy place. Heal yourself and pick up some items for your
needs. Now go to the western part of Celdaon. You will see a tree
and a sleeping Pokemon. First Cut the tree and enter the large
building you see. Now continue west of the building and you will
reach a house. Talk to the girl inside and you will receive HM02!
Which teaches your bird-flying type Pokemon the Fly ability! This
is very useful to getting around much quicker. You can now instantly
fly back to all of the previous locations you came to. So use it to
fly back to Lavender Town or continue on by foot if you do not have
   any bird-flying type Pokemon.

Now leave Celadon and go through the east path to Route 7 once
again. Before you go down the Underground Road, go into the large
building to the right. Talk to the guard and give him a soda. He
will now let you pass! But don't bother going yet! You cannot do
anything there yet. Return outside of that building and go into the
Underground Road to reach Route 8. Now travel all the way east until
you reach Lavender once again. You shouldn't need to heal for you
should've already battled everyone. Head straight for the large
building on the right side of town. That is the Pokemon Tower!

                               ~ STRATEGY ~
Gary now have some pretty good Pokemon under his sleeves. If yours
aren't at a high level them you might be in trouble! But his Pokemons
does have a major weak point. They are all weak to some type of yours.
So for the first choice, use Pikachu's Thunderbolt to finish up
Fearow. Then you can continue to use Pikachu to finish up Shellder or
   you may use Ivysaur instead.

If you use Ivysaur, you better changed right after Shellder. For
Vulpix is next. A rock/ground or water attack will finish it off
quickly. I suggest using Graveler (or Geodude if it hasn't evolved)
to beat Vulpix. Why? Because fire attack will not be very effective
on a rock type Pokemon. Same thing goes for Sandshrew. A water or
ground attack will be super effective and will finish it up quickly.
A good tip here is to use different kinds of Pokemons so they can all
   gain some experience.

Anyhow the final Pokemon is Eevee. Since it has a fighting type
weakness use a Machop if you currently have one. If not, quickly
finish off with your Pikachu. It will not take long. Eevee does
mediocre damages anyways. A funny thing you can do is to use your
Eevee (or any of it's evolve form) against it.
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

After the little chat with Gary he will leave once more. Now you can
either be careful and go heal or you can go on if you wish. I suggest
you continue for there isn't much battles anyway. So make your way to
the west side of the floor (take the north path) and go up to the
   next level.

    ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
4F : This is like a mini-maze. But it can easily be passed through.
Battle the first Channeler you see to the right of the stairs. Then
go get the Elixir you see. Continue going to the right and get the
Awakening. I suggest that you battle all of Channeler for some
trainning. Anyway be sure to grab the HP Up (located south of the
Awakening) before you continue onto the next level.

5F : Continue eastward from the stairs. You will then see some weird
looking tiles on the ground. Your Pokemon must've been beef out
with all those battles, correct? Step into the tiles and it will
fully restore you! Before going up to the 6th floor, I suggest
that you battle all of the Channelers here. You can always step on
the tiles to heal fully if you're weak. Grab the Nugget located to
the south and continue on to the next floor.

6F : Go south of the stairs and get the Channeler. Beat him and grab
the X Accuracy there. Continue following the path north. You will
meet up with a few Channelers on the way but they're all pushovers.
You will eventually get to a Rare Candy. there is a staircase to the
south of it. As you approach the stairs a wild Pokemon will suddenly
   attack!

The Pokemon will be identify to be a Marowak! You cannot capture it
since it's dead, so just finish it off with your Ivysaur or Wartortle.
Mega Drain or any water attack will be super effective and do a hefty
amount of damage to the undead Pokemon.

Before going up the stairs, return to the previous floor (the one
with the weird tiles) and fully heal! DO NOT GO FURTHER UP! I repeat,
do not go to the final floor yet. You need your Pokemons to be at
full health. Once they are so, then you may continue going up.

Pokemon Tower - Final Floor : Now here on the final floor, the only
direction you can go is north. So do so. Suddenly Team Rocket will
once again periodically show up for a battle.

   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

   DIFFICULTY : Normal+ : DIFFICULTY

                               ~ STRATEGY ~
Meowth is just another normal type of Pokemon. So use fighting
abilities or just any other attack on it. As for Arbok and Weezing
use Dig or Confusion against it to be quick. Nothing hard here. The
only to watch out for is Weezing's Sludge attack which can poison
   you.
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Once they have blasted away, go north and talk to the old man you see.
After the long chat he will take you out of the tower and back to his
house. Go talk to him in the house and you will receive a Poke Flute!
Now once you're done healing and purchasing some needed items, go
   south of Lavender.

may go now is south, so continue doing so. And also, battle all of
the trainers you see for some trainning. Most of them (actually all
of them) uses some type of fish Pokemon. So trainning your Pikachu or
Ivysaur here is a good idea.

again! DO NOT FINISH IT! Capture the useful beast! If you miss it, I
suggest you reset and try again. If you miss this Snorlax, there is
   one more at Celadon.

Now the path back to Vermillion (to the right) is now open. I suggest
that you take that path and battle all of the trainers. You will need
the trainning for your upcoming gym battle!

did before. You will come across a Rocker standing north of a house.
Defeat him and enter the house. Talk to the fisherman inside and
answer YES to his question to receive a Super Rod. leave the house
and continue south. A little bit further south, you will see a tree
that blocks a cell that contains an item and a trainer. Pick up the

have defeated the Jr. Trainer (M) to reach Route 13.

Make your way through the puzzle and continue going south. You're
nearly there! Oh yeah be sure to also grab the TM20, which you will
come across on near the passing building. Just follow the trail and
make your way to Fuchsia City!

Finally, after tons long and hard battles, go straight to the Pokemon
Center and heal up. Also restock with some useful items you might be
in need of. Now Fuchsia consist of two important things. The gym and
the Safari Zone. DO NOT GO TO THE GYM! You will be of no match for
the oponents there! Trust me, your level 25-35 Pokemons will be no
match for their level 40s Pokemons. You will go to the gym later.
But for now let's do some other fun stuff. Like the Safari Zone!

So go all the way north of Fuchsia and enter the large building you
see. Pay the guards the $500 fee to enter. Now the Safari Zone is
a large plain that has many valuable Pokemon as well as items. If
you want some Pokemons, ehre is the place to search for them. Just
note, you will only 500 steps you can take within the park. Once the
steps runs out you will have to start over again. So if you want to
catch Pokemons, do so before continuing on with the walkthrough. If
you wish to capture Pokemon, here is the way to do so.

In the Safari Zone, you are only allow to use their useless and
unaffective Safari Balls. You only have 30 of them so make sure you
do not run out! Once you've entered a battle in the Safari Zone,
you will see a screen with 4 options.

Ball - Trow the Safari Ball at the Pokemon and try to capture it.
Bait - Trow a bati for the Pokemon to eat.
Throw Rock - Toss a rock to get the Pokemon angry.
Run - Flee from the battle.

Since you cannot use your Pokemons to weaken the enemy, the only
way to try and have a successful capture is to throw a bait at it.
Then you can throw a rock at it to distract it, then capture. You
might miss a few times but that is the price. Anyhow, I'm going to
continue on with the walkthrough. So once you're done trying to
capture the Pokemon, continue on through.

Try to follow the map from (A) to (H). If it's to confusing, read
   the section below.

Area 1 : This is the area you first came in from. Firstly, get on
you’re Bike, so you can go faster. Also use a repel if you want to
avoid those annoying battles. Start out by going northeast, avoiding
the house you see along the way, for it is useless. Now from here, go
east and go atop the platform. Grab the Carbos to the north and then
go down the platform, but this time, go down from the west side of
it. Go north and grab the Max Potion and TM37 from this area. North
of the TM37, there is another platform. Go atop it and go down again
on the other side. Grab the Full Restore you see and avoid the house
once again. Instead go north and then west to the new area.

Area 2 : From where you are at, go a little bit west and go atop the
platform. DO NOT GO SOUTH OR ON TOP THE FIRST PLATFORM!! You will end
up wasting your steps for there is nothing there. Instead go on the
little platform (located west of the large one to the north). Now,
there is a path to the south, which you may see. DO NOT TAKE THAT
PATH! Instead go north and grab the TM40, and continue following the
trail. Avoid the house you see! Follow the trail to the west and then
south. You should have at least 100 steps or about it left. If not, I
suggest you start over (like I did) and this time use the FAQ and go
faster avoiding all the mistakes you did before. Anyhow, from the
Protein, follow the trail and you will reach the final area of the
   Safari Zone.

Area 3 : Go south of the way you came in from and get the Gold
Teeth. There will be a use for that later. Now go west and get the
TM32 and enter the house you see!

located in the house to the east of the Pokemon Center. Go inside and
give the teeth back to the Warden. He will be grateful and give you
the HM04! Which contains strength. You may now move boulders! So

   * The Masterball is the best PokeBall in the game! Why? It never
misses a Pokemon. Once you throw it, it captures. No need for
weakening or anything. I HIGHLY suggest that you save it until
     later.

There isn’t really anything to do in the city as you can see. The
has been taken over by the Rocket members. The main gym has also
been blockaded. The only places you can go for now is the Pokemon
Center, PokeMart, Silph Co. and the Fighting Pokemon Gym (which is
located next door to the main Saffron Gym).

First, go into the Fighting Pokemon Gym. Inside there are four
Blackbelts you can fight. They are optional but I suggest you fight
them anyway. They are fairly easy, There Pokemons are all fighting
types (of course!) and are around level 30+. You can destroy them all
easily with a flying-type Pokemon, or just any Pokemon with Fly.
Anyhow, if you're that impatience type or have over confidence in
yourself, you may take the easy way out by just going around them
to the main leader (you still have to fight at least one Blackbelt
though). Anyway you pick, make your way to the leader on the gym and
   challenge him.

I don't know why I bother making this little section for this guy. Oh
well, I guess he is a gym leader (kind of). Use the same strategy for
him as in your previous battles. Flying type attacks will do an
immeasurable amount of damage to his fighting Pokemons. Overall, he
should be an easy victory for you. If you have trouble with him, you
   definitely need to train.
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

The effect of the battle will cause him to be impressed with you. He
will they let you choose one out of the two Pokemons in the back on
him (what a nice guy :). Hitmonlee on the left and Hitmonchan is
located on the right. Both are on a decent level (30). You decide.
