1. Introduction
F1 race was made in 1990 by Nintendo for Gameboy. It's a fun game, at
least until you try to play with the computer. The control is bad, the CPU too
hard and the track design could use some work, but it is fun and worth your
money in the end. Overall: C+

2. How to play
First you pick the game mode. Grand prix is the big one player game, time
trials is one player (with the option to race the CPU) and Multiplayer is for
more than one player (but can be played solo).
Now pick a car.
Type A
Max speed>280 Km
With Jet fuel>360 Km
Jet fuel>70 lt
Type B (recommended)
Max speed>320 Km
With Jet fuel>350 Km
Jet fuel>60 lt
While the two have obvious pros and cons, B Won't lose much speed if you run
out of jet fuel.
A button accelerates and B will brake. left and right turn. Up on the
control pad will use jet fuel and make you go faster.
Start+select+A+B will reset the game.

3. Grand Prix
Hit new game if it's your first time playing. You must place first in
every race to advance.
Okay, this is easy. Don't accelerate on turns. Just turn. Use turbo on
straight sections and when passing another car. Don't run into another
car, because they will get a boost. The courses are in order below along with
difficulty. Sorry, but I don't really have a walkthrough for this section as
it's basically time trials with obstacles.

4. Time Trials
Choosing obstacles will let you race with other cars. There are seperate times
for obstacle and single. Below are the times for single.

5. Multiplayer
Enter your initials, or if you've a three letter name (ex. Joe), you can put
that in. Select your course group (it'll show the map, I hope you know where
these countries are, but then again...). Now pick 1, 3, or 5 races. Select your
car. You can have 4 players simultaneously. I think.
You can also play with the computer.

FAQ
Q: How do I link up 4 players?
A: You can have up to four players on "F-1 Race" for the Gameboy by using the
Gameboy four-player adaptor. Just be aware that it's not compatible with the
Gameboy Advance.
You can buy the adaptor at Nintendo's Online Store for $8.50 (plus S+H)
Q: Any codes?
A: Not in-game, but you can attach a gameshark and hack some codes.
