II. ABILITIES
Here ive compiled a list of all the abilities and there functions. They are
arranged in order by levels.

First off, any enemy after the first 2 worlds in the game can give you a
weakness. This will be displayed as an X-(Element). Example: X-Thunder, X-Fire,
X-Ice. So keep in mind that this applies for all of the following. Also,
abilities like O-Ice, O-Fire, and O-Thunder cannot be obtained by mutants.
Weaknesses are level 0 abilities. Also you start with either Flame or
Blizzard(Male get blizzard, Female gets Flame)on your mutant. I have never been
able to get these abilities on them again, so if you want them, remember that.

Level 1: Warning-Prevents unexpected attacks. Cure-Restores HP. Fire-Fire
elemental attack. Ice-Ice elemental attack. O-Poison-Prevents poisonus attacks
such as acid, gas, poison.

Level 2: O-Para-Prevents Sleep and Stun. O-Quake-Prevents damage from Quake.
Thunder-Thunder elemental attack.

Level 3: Steal-Steals GP from all enemies. GP stolen increases with agility.
Blitz-Lowers an enemies agility.

Level 4: Gaze-Paralyzes enemy group. Stonskin-If attacked physicaly, will
counter with petrify. Hypnos-Puts enemies to sleep.

Level 5: O-Weapon-Halves damage from physical and weapon attacks. Surprise-Will
be able to strike first in some battles.. O-Stone-Prevents petrification.
Explode-Sacrifices all HP to kill all enemies on screen, will not work on major
bosses. Heal-Heals status ailments like stone, blind, curse. Stongaze-
Petrifies an enemy group if successful. Charm-Confuses enemy.

Level 6: Mirror-Reflects magic. Teleport-Can teleport to a previously travled
city/dungeon. Touch-Absorbs HP from enemy into own HP. P-Blast-Powerful
psychic blast attacks all enemies. O-Change-Immune to status changes, also acts
as O-Weapon. O-Damage-Immune to elemental magic.

Level 7: O-All-Immune to all, acts as O-Change and O-Damage. Recover-Will
regain some HP at end of round. Flare-Most powerful magic spell.

Bosses: TianLung, Fenrir, Apollo, Arsenal-(Note that Arsenal doesnt yield any
abilities.)
Abilities obtained: All levels.

Ive noticed that TianLung, Fenrir and Dunatis all give the same amount of gp
after battle. If you beat one TianLung or Fenrir you get 363 GP, the same for
Dunatis. It seems that these are the only 3 monsters that give that much gp for
just one being defeated. Perhaps they may be more prone to giving better
abilites as well.
=======================================================================

IIIA:BOSS STRATEGY (This is one of the guides more alluring sections)
Here are some good tips for all the major bosses of the game.

First of all, if you have robots, the earlier bosses shouldnt be that difficult.
Just boost there agility with weapons or use the robot agility trick(secrets
section)and they will be quite effective.

ASHURA: Mask owns this fight, give him a better STR weapon than the hammer. If
your really having a hard time, give him the Battle sword you got just before
Ashura. The fight should end in 3 or 4 rounds. Give someone the Fire Magi, and
if you can afford it, Sleep works against Ashura. If you have monsters, its
possible to get a sprite, or even 2 sprites before ashura. They will work
extremely well with there sleep and cure spells. If you can get Medusa, you may
be able to defeat him with Stongaze. Ashura has O-Damage, so elemental magic is
useless. Check Amuseums excellent Monster Evolution FAQ for details on
transforming monsters. Finally, if you have some good mana, try equiping a Psi
Dagger as well.

VENUS: This will be a tough fight, unless you have been building massive stats.
Venus has about 3000 HP, O-Damage, Flame, Charm, Erase, and a nasty Blitz whip.
If you have a party of all humans or mutants your stats may not be that high.
If you have sub par stats, I suggest building up GP and buying some Giants
Defensive gear, and Speed Ups from Port town in Apollos world. The armor will
give you good STR, and the Speed ups will boost agility by 20 when used in
battle. You should have a Flame sword from the volcano, Equip it on your
strongest fighter and equip speed ups as well. If you have enough gold, you can
really buy your way past Venus. The Flame shield and Fire magi will protect you
from Venus Flame attack. If you have been following my FAQ, you can see that
you can get strong abilites like P-Blast and Flare on mutants up to this point.
These will work well against Venus. Psi Swords will work well with good agility
and mana. Also, you can get weapons like Magnum pistol, and Bazooka from the
commando in the guardians world. These work extremely well against venus. If
your really lucky, you might get an Ice Sword from the Ninja after you save Lynn.
Grenades are effective, but nothing spectacular. If you have monsters, It is
possible to have a Gazer, Fairy, Hermit, or Phantom before venus. Equiped with
the Power magi, the Hermits W-Pincer is quite effective. Fairy has Sleep, which
will work. Gazer has Beam, and Phantom has Touch. All of which can be boosted
with the mana magi.
Finally,(WOW that was a lot of strategy for Venus!) Venus is succeptible to
Stone as well. Try using Stongaze or a Stone book(Dont remember if you can buy
them yet)on her, you may get lucky.

MAGNATE: Another difficult fight. Magnate has a Massive 5500 or so HP, O-Change,
Vulcan cannon, Katana, Thunder, and a devastating Tornado. But you now have
access to much better weapons, armor, and spells. If you have a lot of gold,
you can buy Flare books from Echigoya before the court scene. Keep that in mind.
If you went into the Race circut with a gazer, eat the Watchers meat at the end,
you will get a very powerful Nymph monster. Its whirl and spells do wonders
against magnate. And of course, If you dragon warped(see secrets section)you
can have the most powerful monsters in the game before this fight. You also
should have the Hecate shoes. Give them to your highest mana player. And equip
a Flare book. Magnate is succeptible to elemental magic, but its not that
effective without massive mana. Taro should use Muramas, and if you can afford
it, give him a Giants helmet for extra strength. The Samurai bow and Laser gun
will do about 300 or so damage each shot. A heal staff could save your life
here after a Tornado attack. Keep up the attacking and eventually magnate will
fall.

ODIN, SLEIPNIR, ODINCROWS: The fights arent getting any eaiser just yet. Odin
has about 3500 HP, O-Change, and a powerful Sleipnir and 2 Odin crows with him.
He also has and surprise, which may catch you off guard without warning. He
will attack with Lightning, Ice, and a vicious Gungnir spear. He will also cure
himself. If your hit with the spear, unless you have mass HP, you will most
likely fall. Ninja gloves, and abilites like O-Weapon, O-Change, and O-All will
half the damage. Equip the Aegis magi and put it to use. Try to take out the
pets in one turn with Flare, P-Blast, Missiles, or another powerful group attack.
The odincrows are really just annoyances, they dont deal much damage. Beware
there Tornado attack however. Attack Odin with those spells and use your
strongest items. If your not having much luck attacking with swords or axes,
use items like Samurai bow and Laser gun. Lastly, the sleipnirs meat can give
you a monster you cant normally get until the central shrine. If you have a
Ten-Gu, eating the sleipnirs meat gives you a Slyph, very powerful monster. At
the same time, you may elect to try for the Gungnir spear odin drops. Although
you cannot have both. It may take many times to get the spear, but its worth it.

MINION: This boss isnt really hard at all. Almost all of its attacks are
elemental, so the Aegis magi will be your first priority. Pound it with you
strongest attacks and it shouldnt give you too much trouble. Minion has about
4500 HP, Blizzard, Flame, Lightning, Gas, and Tornado. Its tornado is really
the only thing to worry about. Remember that you lose all magi collected up to
this point after the battle. So if you dragon warped, you may not want to fight
this boss at all.

WARMACH: This boss can take out an entire party if your not careful. Use Dads
heal staff each time after you suffer a Missile or Nukebomb attack. WarMach has
a whopping 10000 HP, but by now you have the strongest weapons and armor in the
game. Being a robot, spells like Flare, P-Blast, Psi pistols, or any mana
attack will deal big damage. I equip Dad with a flare book for some extra
damage. Just keep healing after the missile/nukebomb attack and you should make
it through without too much trouble. Its bash attack is powerful, so equip your
lead player with some good armor. Its Paranail is nothing to worry about, it
will usually fail. WarMach may drop a Nukebomb after being defeated, but im
still working to see if this is true or not.(Quite frankly I doubt it, all Ive
gotten is a Missile)

APOLLO: Apollo has over 20000 HP, so unless your party is super strong, your
better off just outlasting him. If you can endure so many of his attacks after
his transformation, he will just explode and you will win the battle. If your
going for the kill, you will need to deal huge amounts of damage to him. His
first form is immune to elemental magic, and non group attacks, exept laser guns.
Tanks are not that effective. Dont hesitate to heal after his Masmune and flare
attack, as he may come after you with another before hes finished. And dont
forget about the heart magi, it can be a life saver. Again if you dragon warped,
you will lose all magi collected up to this point.

TIANLUNG and FENRIR: First of all be sure to SAVE before taking on these beasts.
Both often use back to back Tornados, and that usually spells the end of your
game. Use your best group attack weapons like Xcalibur, Psi Pistol, Gungnir
spear, Samurai bow and so on. TianLung has about 2100 HP, and Fenrir has about
2500 HP. These may be exaggerated estimates. If you end up having to fight a
group of 4, dont even bother healing, just go in for the kill.

HANIWA: This isnt really a boss, but it fights like one. Haniwa has about 10000
HP, O-All, Recover, Flare, Quake, Bash, and the most devastating sword in the
game the Seven sword. Use Isis Aegis magi right away or Quake can cause big
damage. Bring a Heal staff, and dont hesitate to use Isis Heart magi. If your
hit with the seven sword, its over for that player. Encountering one of these
is extremely rare, but should you run across one you can run, or use the Hyper
cannon to kill it right away. Explode works too. If you can get the seven
sword, consider yourself very lucky. I have gotten 3 in about 4 years playing
this game. If your going to take it out the hard way, your going to need HP
over 600, a heal staff on a good mana user, and deal some big time damage. The
haniwa recovers HP at a staggering rate. There has been some talk of the haniwa
droping meat on the FFL2 board lately. I thought it was rubbish, but then more
came forward saying they have seen it. Perhaps it is true?

ARSENAL: The games final boss is only as hard as you make it. It has about
20000 HP. Another mechanical creature, magic will deal good damage. I
recommend Psi Pistols, a Heal staff, and Flare books for this fight. If you
have no one with high mana, use Laser Pistol or Samurai bow. If your playing
with monsters, try for Titania(Flare and spells), Beholder(Beam),
Kusanagi(Critical), or Lich(Flare and spells). It has massive defense, so
unless your Str or Agi is very high, it will do little damage. It starts off by
attacking with its 4 cannons. Each of these cannons has 1000 HP, after you
damage it for 1000 HP, the cannon is destroyed. If you take too long to destroy
all 4 cannons, they will self repair, so attack hard until there gone. Arsenal
will then attack with the smasher, this is when you should heal up. The smasher
isnt that bad of an attack. Time your attacks so you get fully healed before
its next phase of attack, it takes about 1500-3000 damage before it launches.
Then it will launch the smasher, and you will take 1000 damage spread out
randomly over your party. At the most, one player can suffer about 500 plus
damage, but the other 3 will take less. Now you must quickly finish it off,
have one player use the heal staff, preferably one with high mana. The others
should attack with all there might. This is the LAST battle, use all of your
strongest weapons like Glass sword. If you were lucky enough to get the seven
sword, put it on the player with the most strength and agility. The sword bases
hits on agility, and damage dealt on strength. I had a male mutant with 99 str
and agi and did about 3500 damage a strike to it. If you have max stats, boost
your str to 129 with giants gear, and it will do even more damage.

Whew, well thats all I can get off the top of my head, keep in mind this is my
first FAQ. Ill be sure to update this list many more times before the final
version.
=======================================================================

IV. TIPS AND ADVICE
This is my advice for playing the game with mutants. This area will address
issues concerning my experience with mutants. Some of which may be quite useful.

If there is one thing ive learned about mutants and abilities, its that getting
the good ones takes patientce. Save right before an enemy that yields good
abilites. If you dont get the one you want, reset, and try try again. Ive
noticed that new abilities tend to jump up levels or down levels from the
previous ability for each mutant. An exapmle:

I just defeated Dunatis, my first mutant lost O-Stone and acquired O-Quake.
Hence the ability lost 3 levels. From the level 5 O-Stone to level 2 O-Quake.
My second mutant lost Cure and acquired P-Blast. Hence the ability gained 5
levels and etc. I belive the level gained or lost is random, and no way to
influence it. However, going into a battle with a higher level ability will
increase the chances of getting a better one. If you have O-Damage (Level 6)
even if it just increases one level thats all you will need for O-All, Flare, or
Recover. I suggest getting at least 2 good abilities on 2 diffferent mutants
from bosses. Any enemy that yields level 5 or higher abilities id try for it.
This may take some time, but it will be worth it.

Equip your mutants the most efficient way you can. If you have a mutant with O-
All, then you dont need armor such as Ninja gloves, Dragon armor, Arthur armor,
other than for the defense boost. You may want to use the extra slot for a
weapon, or spell book. If you find 4 abilities to be too many, you can adjust
it. You can only do this around the start of the game. If you equip a mutant
with enough items, they will only learn new abilities if there is an empty slot.
You can have a mutant with just 3, 2, or even 1 ability if there equip screen is
full. I find this useful near the end of the game, the extra slot really helps
around there. If your going to do this, dont forget to always have there equip
screen full.

Some people still dont realize that switching abilities on the abil screen is
the way to choose the ones you want! Say you have a mutant with 2 warnings,
cure, and recover. Naturally, you would want to keep recover, so make sure its
not the LOWEST ability on the abil screen. Only the lowest ability will change
after a battle. Heres an example:

Warning
Warning
Cure
Recover (Switch recover with one of your warnings since 2 are useless)

Warning
Recover
Cure
Warning (Now this ability will change after a battle instead)

Get abilities that will work well with your mutant. If you have a mutant with
high mana, then try to get a powerful attack ability like P-Blast or Flare on
them. Or, if you have a mutant with low defense or weaknesses, try to get O-
Weapon, O-Change, O-Damage or O-All on them.

Spread abilites out over your mutants. If you have a 4 mutant party, then
choose abilities wisely. Like get surprise on one, and warning on another. Or
get them both on one. If you get a mutant with Surprise, Warning, O-All, and
Recover, then you will need to equip some kind of weapon or spell to attack.
Its a good idea to keep at least one type of attack available at all times.

Use the Magi! The mana magi will boost mana related attacks! So if youve got a
mutant with P-Blast, but its not doing as much damage as youd like, equip it for
better results. Or if you have a mutant with O-Damage, then you dont need the
Aegis or elemental magi equiped on them. Or if you have a weakness like X-
Thunder, equip the Aegis or Thunder magi to nullify the weakness. It seems that
some versions of the game have the magi effects screwed up. Like the Thunder
magi protecting against Fire instead of thunder. So experement and figure out
what will work.

Equip wisely. If you dont save a slot for your mutant, then you must use a slot
that could be used for armor. Unless youve been building defense, you will most
likely have 4 kinds of armor equiped. Armor, Helmet, Glove, and Shoes.
Parasuits are great for mutants since they only take one slot and give mass
defense, boost agility and strength, plus O-Damage. Be advised that some
abilities require agility to work. Such as touch. If you dont have high
agility, then it will most likely miss. Or steal, which bases sucess rate and
GP stolen on agility.

Books are stronger than natural abilities. A flare book will deal more damage
than the ability flare on a mutant. This applies to thunder, ice, and fire as
well. P-Blast seems to be an exception to this rule however.

Switch your party around. If youve been trying for awhile to get an ability on
a certian mutant, try switching them around in the lineup. This increases the
chance of getting a new ability. Also, try fighting the battles a different way
each time. The game seems to base the random ability yielded to damage taken,
dealt, and the order of attacks.

Lastly, dont forget to get some good abilities from the bosses. If you jam
through the game, you wont be able to get the best abilities until the central
shrine.
=======================================================================

V. SECRETS (This is probably the best part of the guide)
Here are some of the secrets of the game ive found along the way.

Dragon warp: If you have teleport on the race circut, use it while mounted on
the dragon to warp out. You will still be on the dragon! It can go through
walls, and over space in the pillar of sky! You can now go anywhere in the game
early! Be sure not to get stuck if you dismout from the dragon. Id buy a door
in Final town or make sure that teleport is always available. You can get
teleport from Dunatis, Venus, Adamant, Lamia, or Watcher before and during the
race circut. If you dismount, you will lose the dragon if you leave the room,
or go to an inn. If this happens, simply teleport/door back to the race circut,
and race again. Or, if you just exit, and re-enter the area, it will return.
(Note that you can only race again if you didnt cross the finish line on the
race circut.) Also, be advised that if you enter the nasty dungeon before
getting the pegasus magi on the dragon, the box will be gone. Simply leave the
dragon outside and it will return. Also, for best results, do not fight minion
at all, as you will lose all the magi you have collected up to that point. And
if you want to enter the central shrine, but dont want to defeat apollo just yet,
simply go straight forward as soon as you enter the central shrine from the
pillar of sky. You should be able to ride the elevator even though it says you
cannot. Just go directly below, or above, the shaped tile that starts the
elevator.

Hidden Base: You will need the dragon warp trick for this to work. In the first
world, where ashuras base used to stand, ride the dragon through the mountians
eastward(Right). Ashuras base will be hidden there! You cannot enter it
without a NPC like Dad, Isis, Taro, or Hana. Mr.S will not work. If you go
through the base like the first time, it will collapse just as it did before.
You must have magi to exit the base through the back door. If you step on the
first warp tile on the way to ashuras world, you will lose your NPC. (You will
lose them anyway after defeating ashura. You can do this 4 times after the race
circut, as you can only get 4 NPCs after the race circut. If you already have
Isis, then you wont have any magi. But if you saved a boss like odin, or didnt
get the heart magi, you can go and get the magi from there and then try it.
Upon the base crumbling, everything will proceed like it did the first time
through. Now, if you climb ashuras tower to the top, Ashura will be there again!
You can collect the magi he drops and then will be teleported back to the shrine
of isis to find Ki sick again! A strange sidenote is that if you have less than
15 magi, you can talk to the fairy next to ki and get defense magi over and over
until you have 15. I thought you may be able to play the entire game over again,
but it seems that you cant. Even if you get the magi in Kis head(which you can
only do by leaving the dragon outside the shrine, and collecting the micron
again), there is no way to make apollo return to guide you in the next world. A
shame really, that would have been the coolest secret ever.

3 Top level monsters: Again you need the dragon warp for this. When you
encounter TianLung and Fenrir, dismount from your dragon DIRECTLY above the
circle they are in. Then fight, get the meat, and get your top level monster.
Now, your dragon will be gone, but the circle with the TianLung/Fenrir will
still be there! Dont fight again just yet, first save, soft reset, then start
the game again. Now your dragon will be back so you can do the trick again!
This worked 3 or 4 times for TianLung and Fenrir! This way, you can have 3 top
level monsters instead of 2. If you could get teleport on a monster before the
race circut, you could have 4 top level monsters. But there is no way to do
that, you have to have at least one mutant to learn teleport from Dunatis, Venus,
Adamant, Lamia, or Watcher. This can also be used to get good abilities on
mutants, since these 2 monsters seem to be the highest level monsters in the
game along with dunatis. Based on GP dropped by one.

Interconnecting shops/inns: Again the dragon warp is required. Ive noticed that
in every inn, except the one in venus city, if you go to the direct left on your
dragon, you will find the first world weapon store! This seems to be true for
other rooms as well. Say you want to do the hidden base trick, but dont have
enough magi to enter the giants house with the micron. Simply go to the other
house you can enter, the one that you got the poison and power magi from, and
move to the right and downward slowly. The room with the mircon is in the same
screen! Be careful not to get lost in the blackness when trying this. Try to
keep your barings as to where you entered from. Be sure to explore all the
places you can while on your dragon, you may find something I havent yet.

Easy exploration: If you beat arsenal while on your dragon, you can leave the
central shrine and explore any place in the game without the random battles!
Just be sure not to talk to isis, and if you do, dont ride the elevator all the
way back up to where you battled apollo. Just ride it to the point at the top
of the shrine, then move left or right before you talk with dad. The only
enemies that should remain are the ones like the hermit in the venus sewers, and
similar ones(like the phagocyts in kis head, and the Monsters in a box.

Stat builder: In the older gameboys. The thick gray ones. You can build stats
with ease by using this trick. The first battle you fight will always be the
same, afterward, if you get a stat up, save, shut the game off. Then after
about a second, turn it back on, fight the battle the same way. You should get
the same result, this will work clear up to 99 most of the time. If the order
of attacks changes, or if you take damage you didnt before, the trick will not
work. So keep agility at a standard to do it. Spells do not matter, Example:

You battle a trooper, your first mutant casts thunder, then another mutant casts
fire, ending the battle. You recieve a mana bonus. Now if your out of thunder
or fire, you can swap with another ability like ice and still get the same
result, granted that it happens the EXACT same way.

This trick will work on gameboy pocket, color, and sometimes on advance and SP.
But you must leave it shut off for 15 seconds or longer. The old GB clears the
ROM of the game as soon as it is shut off. The newer versions do not.

Max stats: Just because you cant see a stat going above 99 doesnt mean that it
cant. If you have a mutant with 99 Strength, equip him with Giants gear for a
bigger boost! If you have 99 STR and Giants armor, Helmet, and Glove equiped,
your actual STR is 129! This applies to mana, agility, and defense as well.
But the only items that boost agility are Hermes shoes, Parasuits, and Kimono
armor. And mana is only boosted by Hecate shoes.

Robot agility: If you use any of the martial arts attacks(Punch, Kick, Headbut,
X-Kick, Jyudo, Karate) down to 1 use, equip it on a robot and then use the last
attack in battle. It wont do any damage, but after the battle, go to the
ability screen on the robot. Now, swap the martial art around once or twice and
it should dissappear, but the agility and HP boost on the robot will still be
there! You can build some super powerful robots with this trick. I suggest
using Karate and Jyudo for it. You can use the other arts, but the boost isnt
as much. This takes time using up all the arts, but the results for your robot
can really give you an edge. Be sure to keep track of the robots agility after
you pass 99. If it goes higher than 254, then it will reset to zero, not good.
You may want to jot down the exact agility boost given to robots by Karate and
Jyudo.

Trashcan Bug: After defeating magnate, you should have 67 magi. If you select
the trash can in the item screen, and double click it, you will see an indicator
next to your party. Clicking again will raise the players Strength by 3! Once
you have the Pegasus magi, you should have 68. Now, if you use the trashcan,
you can raise agility! If you do the trick correctly, you can have up to 72
uses of the can! Here is how to get the most uses of it. Make sure you have
the Power magi equiped. After 5 uses of the can, go to the magi screen. You
will see that the number of uses subtracts from the number of power magi you
have. So, when you get down to one use, swap it for another magi, then swap
back the the power magi with one use. You should have more uses! Just make
sure to keep track of your uses. If you dont swap magi, you wont get as many
uses as you can. Check the magi screen often when using this trick. Ive also
figured out a way to do this trick before magnate. If you dragon warped on the
race circut before fighting the monsters that drop magi, meaning you must get
teleport from Dunatis or Venus, then defeat Odin, or perform the hidden base
trick and defeat Ashura, you should have 67 magi, the number needed for the STR
boost. Once you have boosted STR, collect the next race monsters magi for 68,
and boost agility. This way, you can really pound Magnate with some heavy stats.

Rare and helpful item drops: Some enemies drop items that can only be found in
the game. Others might give you items that you cannot buy till later in the
game. I shall list the enemies that drop items that cannot be bought. And the
better items.

VI. FAQ

Here are some of the most common questions im hearing.

Q:Im getting creamed! How do I level up?!

A:Unless you use the stat builder trick(see secrets section), you will have to
have patientice, and lots of it. Every battle you come across you should fight,
to build stats. Or you can use the trash can bug trick(secrets section) on
humans and mutants. But even then you are 3/5 through the game. Fight, and
fight alot.

Q:How do I beat Venus?

A:Read my boss strategy section.

Q:Im stuck in the Giants world, I know im supposed to go to the giants town, but
how do i get in?

A:Talk to the man at the table in the cafe in the town. He will tell you how to
get in.

Q:Why cant I equip the Parasuit?

A:The parasuit takes the place of all armor. To equip it, you cannot have any
armor equiped. It covers head, body, hands, and feet.

Q:Why dont the martial arts do any damage?

A:You must use it often. The less amount of uses you have, the more damage that
will be dealt.

Q:What does the Selfix do?

A:The selfix works like recover for robots only. When equiped, you will recover
lost HP during battle.

Q:I have a whip equiped, and good agility, why is it doing so little damage?

A:Whips base damage on STR, but raise agility. Just as the Rune axe bases
damage on STR, but raises mana.

Q:Where is the Xcalibur sword?

A:In the final dungeon, when you enter a diamond shaped room, go to the very
side of it. A tunnel will lead you to the Xcalibur.

Q:How do I find the Haniwa?

A:If you have an old thick GB, on the central shrines bottom floor, you can save,
shut it off, and start up again. The 4th encounter will be the haniwa. This
also works on gameboy pocket, but you must leave the GB off for 15 seconds. I
dont know if it works on GBC, but on GBA, I counted the number of battles it
takes after the GBA has been shut off for awhile. On the 52nd and 73rd battles
I fought a haniwa. This worked 3 times I tried it. Gameboy SP is the same as
GBA.
