2. Story
--------
Once upon a time, there was a mole named Muddy. He lived happily with his
wife, Maggie, and their seven children. One day, when Maggie and the kids were
playing outside, Jinbe the evil farmer appeared! Maggie tried to protect her
children, but Jinbe was too strong for her. Muddy came home to find a letter
from Jinbe telling him the news. Muddy left for Jinbe Land to get his family
back!

3. Controls

Control Pad: move Muddy, read signs (UP)
Start: start game,access menu
Select: on level select screen,erase a level score
A: talk to Grandpa Hint,dig,pop up from underground, select items (menu)
B: grab stuff,(+ D-pad)push/pull stuff,(hold, +D-pad)throw stuff,
(when underground)peek aboveground

4. Items

Movable items:
Cabbage: Throw it into a hole. Every five you sink will give you a 1/4
Heart.
Black Ball: The object is to get this to the stone wall. If you put it in a
hole, it will reappear at the starting point.
Barrel: Just like the black ball, except it will fill up a hole above AND
underground
Elbow Pipe: Throw an item (except a cabbage) into one end, and it'll come out
the other.
Start Screen items:
Map: Shows the level. white=cleared,black=not cleared,flashing=you are
here
Locator: Puts the bonus stage, boss, and Grandpa Hint on the map
Recover: Heals you to full Heart
Give up: Clear the screen. Doesn't count for cleared on score
"Just laying on the ground" items:
Arrow Tile: Put an item on it, and it'll go in the direction of the arrow.
Muddy can walk over it.
Grandpa Hint: A reusable Recover. Talk to him repeatedly to see a funny
reaction.
1/4 Heart: Gives you 1/4 of your Heart back.
Spikes: Anything can go over them except Muddy.
Sign: Read it by pressing UP on the D-Pad
Stone Wall: Throw the black ball into it to clear the screen. Some screens
have two.

5. Levels
---------
Note: The levels don't have names, so I made some up
5.1 Tutorial
1: Go up
2: Read the sign, and go underground to get past the stumps. Pick up the
heart if you want.
3: Same as 2, but with more stumps
4: Shove the first black ball into the hole. Now push the second one, and
pull the third one, until they're above and below the lone stump. Now push the
second one out of the way and continue on. Dig under the fourth ball.
5: Push the first two balls unto the holes, and use the others to trap
the enemies. Continue south.
6: Read the sign, then throw the balls into the enemies. Keep going
south.
7: Push the black balls into the gates. Watch out for the Dinos.
8: Talk to G. Hint, and go east.
9: Use the black ball to kill the Dino, then dig a hole where you can.
Tunnel to the space that's one space southeast of the sign, and pop up. Throw
the cabbages in, pick up the map, and clear the stage.
10: Kill the Dino with the cabbage, the dig a hole. Throw the cabbage in,
and dig to the southeast corner. Throw the cabbages around, dig a hole for
them, kill the Dinos, and move up to the northeast. Underground is the Locator,
so don't miss it! Toss the black ball across the hole, and push it to the wall.
Next stage...
11: Push the ball up ONE space. Now dig until you're one space to the left
of it, and toss it into the wall. Pick up the cabbages!
12: Kill the Dino, then use the EXISTING holes to move the ball 5 spaces
to the left. Toss it across the hole, killing the Moro in the process. Now pull
the ball 5 spaces north, and toss it into the wall. Pick up the cabbages and
the Recovery once you're done.
13: Push the ball one space up, then throw it down. Use the cabbage to
kill the Dino, and maneuver the ball into the gate. Jump down the hole!
14: You should be inside the enclosure with the ball. Smash the gate, the
go into the Bonus Stage. Good luck! Pick up cabbages here and in 13, as well.
15: Use the black balls to destroy the gates. Timing is critical if you
want to avoid the enemies. 2 more cabbages, as well.
16: Boss-Kangaroon. See Boss section.

6. Bosses
---------
6.1 Kangaroon-Level 1
He'll start off by throwing apples at you. Move left and right to dodge
them. Then he'll start jumping around. When he jumps really high, pull/push
the pins under his shadow. He'll flop around for a while, then throw more
apples. Pin him three times to beat him. There's 2 hearts under the field if
you need them.
6.2 Sundes-Level 2
As soon as the battle starts, dig a hole in the lower-left corner. Peek
up until he uses the "Blinding Sun" attack, then jump aboveground. Push the
left black ball up, then throw it to the right. Sundes should be swinging
horizontally now. Grab the left ball again, and when he is above it, throw it.
Sundes should now be circling clockwise. Throw the left ball at him when he is
directly to the right of it, and he should go into the water.
6.3 Funton-Level 3
This guy is annoying. Dodge him while he walks and spins around, and
wait for him to jump. After he jumps, dig a hole where the shadow is. When he
lands in the hole, throw a ball at him. Three hits and he's dead. Be warned:
his shadows start multiplying.
6.4 Mad Wrencher-Level 4
First of all, push the upper pipe so that it's as far to the left as
possible. Then move the lower pipe so it "catches" one of the wrenches. It
should bend around and hit him. Now move the upper pipe so that it lines up
with him again. Repeat the wrench-reflecting until three wrenches hit him. If
he pulls out a bomb, use the same tactic as with Sundes' Blinding Sun.
6.5 Big Mama-Level 5
Pull the right ball up one space and left two, so that it's one space
northeast of the left one. Now stand one space above the left one, and wait for
Big Mama to come out one of the holes that is directly north, south, east, or
west of you. Throw the appropriate ball at her. Three hits and Big Mama is
toast.
