Introduction (TMNTINT)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Back From the Sewers is the second of three
Ninja Turtles games on the original Game Boy. Being a collector of both TMNT
and video games, the Ninja Turtles games hold a special place in my heart.
TMNT II was not one I got to experience when I was growing up, and was one I
purchased used, in September of 2006. I actually didn't start playing it
until last week (October 24th, 2007). For a year it sat on a shelf,
untouched outside of being tested once. When I finally got around to playing
it, I decided it would be a good idea to write a walkthrough for it. This is
my second walkthrough for a platformer, so I am still feeling things out. If
you have and comments, suggestions, corrections or additions, please e-mail
them to me at Arguro AT Hotmail.com and let me know! I welcome all types of
feedback.

Controls (TMNTCONT)
There are two types of controls that can be used in this game. Since there
are only two action buttons (A and B) you can only switch what they do. The
following is the default control set:

A: Jump
B: Attack
A and B together: Slide and attack
Directional Pad: Moves turtle in that direction
Start: Pause

Type 2, which can be accessed in the options menu, is as following:
B: Jump
A: Attack
A and B together: Slide and attack
Directional Pad: Moves turtle in that direction
Start: Pause

Walkthrough (TMNTWALK)
Start by pressing the start button to bring up the main menu. From here you
can either start the game or select the option menu. Select the options menu
first. Here you can select the difficulty level, controls and listen to the
music. You will see a turtle in a window of the building. By pressing down,
you can move the turtle to a different window. Each window corresponds to an
option you can select. You can select Easy, Medium, and Hard for level (I
use easy for this guide). Move to Trigger type and you can switch the
buttons. This is covered more extensively under the controls section.
Finally you can select BGM Test which allows you to listen to different
samples of music found within the game. When you are done, move down to Exit
to go back to the main menu. Now choose to start the game and you will begin.

Level 1 - Part 1 (TMNT1-1)
Start out by moving right. You will encounter your first Foot Soldier. Kill
him and continue. Once you meet the fourth one, a fifth one will jump at you
from behind. Kill them both and continue right. You will come to one that
is on a ladder throwing bombs down at you. He throws three bombs, one close,
one medium and one far, then repeats the pattern. Wait until he throws the
far one then move in close. Once he releases the close one, jump and move
forward. You will jump over the medium one and you can kick him and kill him.
Once he is dead, continue moving right.

You will encounter another bomb thrower, Dispatch him just like the previous
one and continue moving right. The second Foot Soldier you run into will be
caring a slice of pizza. Kill him and he drops the pizza. You can grab it
for a health boost.

Continue right, being sure to keep an eye out from behind as Foot Soldiers
will come out at you. Eventually you will run into a Foot Soldier caring a
full pizza. Kill him and grab the pizza for some serious health. Keep
moving right and you will automatically jump up and onto the surface after
one more Foot Soldier. This ends Part 1

Level 1 - Part 2 (TMNT1-2)
Move right, killing the Foot Soldiers as you meet them. Cross the street
with the man hole in it and keep going. Eventually you will come to a second
street with a man hole. This time a Foot Soldier will come up from under it
and throw the man hole cover at you. Either jump over it or attack it and
send it back towards him. Once he is disposed of, jump over the man hole and
continue on.

You will come to a foot soldier on the right who throws three bombs. Once
you see him, move to the far left and let him throw the bombs, one close, one
in between and one far. He will then run away. It is difficult to kill him,
so let him run off and don't take the damage.

Move right and you will come to another man hole with a Foot Soldier under it.
There will also be a wall that you can jump on. If you jump on the wall,
Hold down and press B to drop back to the street. The second Man hole in
front of the wall will have a Foot Soldier under it but he does not throw the
cover. Instead, he pops up, looks, then goes back down.

When you reach the end of the wall, there will be a Foot Soldier that comes
out at you from the left. There will be another Pizza carrying Foot Soldier.
Kill him and grab the pizza. You will then be moving automatically and you
will jump into the sewer. This is the end of Part 2

Level 1 - Part 3 (TMNT1-3)
You will see a foot soldier setting off a bomb. You can't do anything yet,
so let him set it off and run away. Start moving right. The bomb has blown
a hole in the floor. There will be a pipe above the hole. If you jump up to
the pipe, you will instantly grab a hold of it and you can climb across the
hole. The pipe will explode once you touch it, so you need to move quickly
across. If you fall into the hole, there will be two land mines that you
need to avoid, but you can jump out of it.

Continue to the right. You will eventually see a Foot Soldier hiding behind
a wall. When you get close enough he will jump out and slide towards you.
He will hit you before you can kill him, so leap over him. There will be
three total Foot Soldiers that do this. Leap them all and continue on.

There will be a ladder with Foot Soldiers dropping down. There seem to be an
infinite amount, so time it so you can walk under it without one dropping
down on you. Continue on moving right. You will come to an area where Foot
Soldiers jump up at you from both the left and the right. Try to stay in the
middle and disperse of them as quickly as you can. If they hit you, they
will disappear, so don't worry if there are too many. Just get through this
with one piece of health left and move on to the boss

Level 1 - Boss (TMNT1-B)
Splinter will come out of the window and drop a piece of pizza to replenish
your health. Move to the right and you will come to Rocksteady, the first
boss.

He will bust out of the wall and be on the right side of the screen. Move
all the way to the left. He will fire three bullets. Jump over these
bullets and land in the middle of the screen. He will come charging at you
then leap over the middle of the screen, landing on the left side.

When he is on the left of the screen, Walk up to him. Swing your weapon over
and over. It will inflict two hits on him. Once the second hit is on him,
retreat to the middle of the screen. He will jump over you and return to the
right side. Walk up to him and attack him once then move back to the left.
He will shoot three more bullets at you. Jump them and move under him as he
moves to the left side of the screen. Attack him again and move back to the
center.

Continue attacking him in this fashion. He is in a cycle and is simple to
beat, just takes some diligence. He takes 12 total hits to destroy. He will
run to the right side of the screen and disappear. You will gain points and
move onto a bonus round.

Level 2 - Part 1 (TMNT2-1)
You start this level skateboarding on a street. The Foot Soldiers will come
in at you from all sides. When you see them on the bottom of the screen,
they cannot be attacked until the move up. Avoid getting hit by them and
position your self to kill them.

After three skate boarding Foot Soldiers, there will be one that flies in
from the right. You have to jump and kick him in the air in order to hurt
him. He will shoot down at you and then flee to the other side of the screen.
He will shoot three times and then disappear completely. You can kill him by
hitting him three times before that. After he leaves, more skate boarding
Foot Soldiers will appear. Dispatch them and continue on.

There will be another flying foot soldier that you will need to dispatch of,
this one comes in from the left of the screen. There will be a few skate
boarding Foot Soldiers that come in very fast from one side of the screen.
They throw spear heads at you which can be knocked away if you attack the
spear head as it reaches you.

Once you destroy this next group of Foot Soldiers, there will be one that
brings in a pizza from the right. Grab it. Now there will be some
mechanical bugs that fly in from the left, two at a time. Kill them before
they reach the other side of the screen. If they get to the other side, they
will dive bomb you very quickly and it is hard to avoid.

Next you will see a vehicle appear on the right. This vehicle throws oil
drums at you. Move to the very top of the screen, as this is where the drums
will be the least frequent. When one comes at you, jump over it by tapping
the jump button. Tapping the jump button causes a small jump to occur, which
is faster than a full jump and will prevent you from falling on another drum
as it comes at you.

After the barrels are done, two more mechanical bugs will come in from the
left. Dispose of them. There will be some Foot Soldiers that come in and
shoot three missiles then run off. You can attack these missiles and get rid
of them before they hit you.

Eventually the screen will start to shake and you will no longer be able to
control your turtle. Things brings you to the next boss, Bebop.

Level 2 - Boss (TMNT2-B)
Bebop is tougher than Rocksteady because he is more likely to hurt you. He
will start on the right side of the screen, either at the top or bottom. He
will then run to the other side (top or bottom, depending on where he
started) and fire four bullets in a diagonal manner.

Leap over the bullets and he will start walking towards the left side of the
screen. Go up to him and attack him once then move away just a little bit.
He will swing his fist then continue walking. Keep attacking him until he
gets to the left side of the screen. You can get between 3 and 4 hits in
before he reaches the left side.

Once he is on the left side, move to the far right on the bottom. He will
shoot another diagonal round of four bullets. Jump the bullets and land in
the center of the screen, on the bottom. He will now jump back and forth
between the top and bottom of the screen as he moves right. Make sure you
are on the bottom of the screen when he does this because it is easiest to
avoid him there. He will then reset from the beginning and cycle through
every move again. Just keep attacking him as he moves from right to left and
avoid him as he moved left to right. you will defeat him in fairly quickly
and then move on to the next level.

Level 3 - Part 1 (TMNT3-1)
You start out in front of a wall. You can jump up on the wall or drop down
to the street by holding down and pressing jump. Just keep moving right,
killing the Foot Soldiers as you go. When you get to the end of the wall, be
cautious because things will start to fall from the sky.

As you move right, buckets will begin to fall from the sky. There will be a
little bit of debris on the ground just before they start. Two will fall
first. Once you see them fall, keep moving until you are in between them so
they land on either side of you.

There will be three falling next. Move in between the second and third one
to avoid being hit. Four fall next. Move past the second one and let two
land on each side. Once they fall, move on as there will not be any more.

Next you will see a new enemy. These are called Mousers. They will come
towards you and then jump at you. Wait until they jump before you attack.
You can crouch down and attack them or do so standing up. There will be
several hiding in the walls. Some will jump out before you get to them and
the rest will jump out after you pass them. Watch out from both sides as
they will come from each side at the same time. Just move slowly and take
them out as soon as possible.

There will be a pizza carrying Foot Soldier at the end of the wall hiding
Mousers. You will come to two doors next. The right one will open and a
Foot Soldier will pop out. Kill him and the left door will open and you will
go inside. This brings you to Part 2.

Level 3 - Part 2 (TMNT3-2)
You will now be in an elevator. It rises up and Foot Soldiers will come in
from the bottom and the top of the screen. Stay in the middle of the screen,
towards the top. Kill each Foot Soldier as soon as you can, trying not to
let more than three be on the screen at any given time.

Stay in the middle and on the top, as they jump up on the middle, left and
right sides. There will be roughly 31 Foot Soldiers that you have to kill,
then you move on to part 3.

Level 3 - Part 3 (TMNT3-3)
You will be in front of two doors again. The right one will open and four
Foot Soldiers will jump out, one at a time. After killing all four, move to
the right. A couple Mousers will jump out at you from both sides. You will
see a steel beam above you and a Foot Soldier's feet standing on it. Jump up
and you will attach to the beam. Press up and you will jump up on the beam.
There will be a Foot Soldier carrying a pizza here. Kill him and grab the
health. There will be a lot of beams in this part, so this is a great place
to practice moving up and down using the beams.

Drop down to the bottom level and move right. When you come to several
barrels blocking your path, you must jump up to the beam above you. You can
only jump where there is a crisscross pattern, similar to this:
_____________________________________________________________________________
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Jump all the way to the top and then leap off to the right. Keep moving
right, jumping up and dropping down when you need to do so. There will be
some mechanical bugs that attack in threes on the top of the structure, so
avoid it when you can. There will be a pizza holding Foot Soldier just after
them, once you drop down to the bottom.

When you get to a suspended beam that has a second suspended beam above and
to the right of it, jump from the second beam to the structure and you will
find a pizza carrying Foot Soldier. Drop down and continue right. You'll
have to climb up and jump out. This brings you to the boss.

Level 3 - Boss (TMNT3-B)
This boss is Krang in his pre-android form (if you are familiar with the
cartoon, you know what I am talking about). Krang can be hard if you are not
familiar with his pattern. Once you have his pattern down, he is simple.

When the screen stops scrolling, keep moving back and forth because missiles
will drop from the sky. Avoid these and the Krang will drop down on the
right side of the screen along with the missiles.

Once he is on the ground, he will shoot a fire ball at you. Jump over it and
he will begin to walk across the screen. Attack him once and he will back up.
Go after him and attack him again before he jumps. When he jumps, three
missiles come down from the sky.

After the missiles land and he is in the air, he will fly back and forth.
Move in the opposite direction that he is. Once he crosses over your head
for the third time, he will land. The instant he lands, attack him from
behind. He will then retreat to the side of the screen he is facing.

From here he will shoot another fireball that you need to jump over. Do so
and he walks forward again. He is now repeating his cycle. Just follow the
previous steps and you will defeat him easily. He takes 12 hits to kill.
Once dead, he will leave his robotic legs and walk across the screen. You
will be taken to a bonus game and then the next level.

Level 4 - Part 1 (TMNT4-1)
You are going to start out by seeing the transport module going underground
(backwards, but that is ok). Your turtle will jump in after it and you will
be underground. Start by moving right. Gigantic rocks will come at you from
the left side of the screen.

The first two will bounce in. After the first bounce, move towards the rock
so that you are under it as it bounces over you. After that, there will be
two that roll in. These just need to be jumped over. There will be two
bouncing, two rolling and two more bouncing, in that order.

You will now come to an decline in which you will start running down. You
cannot stop, slow down or speed up. Rocks will come at you from behind.
Time your jumps and leap up and let them roll under you. The best time to
jump is once you see the rock enter the screen.

Hold down right on the directional pad as you run down the hill. You will
reach the bottom and begin running up an incline. Make sure you are holding
right, and jump once he floor disappears. You will jump very far and land on
a ledge quite a ways away. You cannot reach it unless you are holding right
as you hit the bottom of the hill.

There will be several holes as you travel right. Inside of almost every hole
is a gigantic flame that shoots up at intervals. While you can time your
jumps and leap over each hole without getting hit, I find it hard to do. An
easier easy to get by everything is to drop into each hole. There will be
room enough for you to land and not get hit. Just avoid the burners and jump
out when you can.

In the fourth hole there will be a foot soldier who is carrying a pizza. The
fifth and sixth holes are connected. Don't drop into the 7th hole as it is
too small. The ninth hole also contains a foot soldier with a pizza.
Eventually, you will jump up through a big hole and a rock will fall into it,
blocking the hole. This is part 2.

Level 4 - Part 2 (TMNT4-2)
Move to the right. You will eventually come to a hole in a sewer tunnel.
Mousers will attack from behind you as you jump out and will continue to come
out until you cross the mid point. Once you do that, there will be Mousers
that come out from the right side.

Dispatch of all the Mousers you can and keep moving right. You will come
into another sewer tunnel. This brings you to the first boss of Level 4.

Level 4 - Boss 1 (TMNT4-B1)
This boss is one of the Pizza Monsters from the cartoon. He hides in the
water and pops up seemingly randomly. He pops up first right next to the
walkway on the left side.

Always keep to the left of the monster. When he pops up, jump up and kick
him in the head. He takes five hits to dispose of. He will drop two full
pizzas, which is enough to fill your life, no matter how low it is. Now move
on to the right and jump into the hole in the wall to move to part 3.

Level 4 - Part 3 (TMNT4-3)
There will be several holes in the ground in which Mousers will jump out of.
There seem to be endless streams of them leaping out, so move quickly. Kill
the mouser in front of you and jump across the hole.

Keep moving right, and try not to get caught in a game of kill the Mousers
from each side. There will be a Foot Soldier in the last hole with a pizza.
He drops the pizza into the hole so you have to jump in to grab it.

Move to the right and you will automatically jump up. This takes you to the
second boss of the level.

Level 4 - Boss 2 (TMNT4-B2)
This boss is Shredder. He is tough to kill. I find it easiest to just go at
him and take a lot of damage. You can hurt him faster than he will hurt you.
Sometimes he walks directly across the screen and sometimes he jumps in the
air and comes down diagonally. You can try to slide under him by pressing A
and B together when he jumps up. Just keep with him, and attack him
repeatedly. He takes 12 hits to kill, just like every other boss.

Krang will fly in on a rocket powered platform and will take Shredder off.
The game scrolls a few screens before this happens, and it all goes
automatically. Just watch the scene and prepare for Level 5.

Level 5 - Part 1 (TMNT5-1)
You will be brought in by Splinter and dropped down on a floating platform,
similar to the one Krang saved Shredder on. Keep moving to the right. If
you fall, you won't die. Instead, you will be taken back to the top of the
screen.

There will be mechanical bugs that fly out from the edges of the platforms as
well as three bullet shooters in the middle of some of them. Watch out for
Missiles that drop from the sky. They usually fall in sets of two to an area.

You can also jump up to a platform and drop down, just like in the
construction site part of level 2. There will be a Foot Soldier with a pizza
a ways into the level. He is in the middle of the screen.

Remember to just move right. Since you will fall back to the top of the
screen, there is no reason to move very far up or down. As long as you are
still encountering Foot Soldiers, you are doing fine.

You should encounter another pizza carrying Foot Soldier after a while. Once
you meet him, there will be a very wide gap that you need to jump into. You
cannot reach the next platform without falling and starting over at the top
of the screen. It takes two to three screen cycles before you will land on
it. Kill The Foot Soldier and jump off the edge. You will be taken to the
first boss of level 5.

Level 5 - Boss 1 (TMNT5-B1)
This boss is Baxter Stockman, in fly form (again, from the original cartoon).
There will be a doorway which you need to jump on. Baxter Stockman will fly
into the screen on the right. Attack him quickly. He will fly down towards
the floor and then move up, shooting three ray beams. Hit him before he
shoots the third one (but after the second one). He will then fly diagonally
down, do move to the other side. He will come up on the left side then fly
down and shoot more beams. Again, attack him before the third one and he
will move to the other side.

Keep attacking him in this pattern. His cycle moves fast and is easy to
detect. He takes around six hits to destroy. After he is dead, you will
drop down and enter the doorway, moving on to Part 2.

Level 5 - Part 2 (TMNT5-2)
You come out in a room with two doors. Foot Soldiers will come at you from
either door and the bottom of the screen. Stay in the middle of the screen
and kill the Foot Soldiers as soon as possible.

There will be quite a few, so stick with it. Once they are all killed, you
will automatically move onto the next room. There will be a foot soldier
with a pizza here. Kill him and grab the pizza. Now you will move to the
next room and the second boss.

Level 5 - Boss (TMNT5-B2)
This boss is a Stone Warrior (again, from the original cartoon, one of
Krang's military men from Dimension X). He rolls in from the right door in
rock form. He will turn into a humanoid form and start shooting at you.

This is a tricky battle. I came in with four turtles and full health on
every one and finally beat him with my last turtle and only one health bar
left.

What you have to do is lead him to the top of the screen when he is in human
form. Attack him and move down, towards the bottom of the screen. Keep
attacking him and instantly move down to avoid his gun fire. He will turn
into a rock after four times of shooting his gun.

When he is in rock form he will make three passes at you. The first two will
go to the edge of the screen and move slowly. The third one will stop around
the middle of the screen and come in fast. Jump over him each time. On the
third time, be at the top of the screen and stop once he is under you when
you jump. Maneuver so you land just to the left of him and just below him.

He will begin to walk towards you. Attack him and move down. He is now in a
cycle and can be defeated if you continue in this fashion. Once he is dead,
he will roll into the next room. You will follow him and find April tied up
to a chair. You will untie her, receive a kiss, and then jump in the hole on
the right side of the room. This takes you to Level 6.

Level 6 - Part 1 (TMNT6-1)
You start out in a sewer surfing along the sewage water. There will be small
objects in the water that are hazardous if touched, so avoid them by jumping.
Eventually, missiles will shoot out from the right side and the objects
disappear. Avoid the missiles, remembering you can attack them with your
weapon if needed to avoid damage. This continues on for a while. Eventually
the game takes over and you jump off your board and into a hole in the sewer
wall. This is part 2.

Level 6 - Part 2 (TMNT6-2)
Start by moving right. There will be Foot Soldiers hiding out behind the
walls that will jump out at you and slide attack. Jump over them. Each time
you jump, lasers will shoot out from the right side. Avoid these. They
mostly shoot out at higher parts of the screen, so they are easy to avoid.

You will come to some holes that Mousers will jump out of. They jump out
less frequently than previous levels. You can also hide in these holes and
crouch by holding down to avoid the lasers shooting at you. You will
eventually come to a pizza wielding Foot Soldier. As always, kill him and
take the pizza. Move on to the right and you will see the machine that has
been shooting the lasers. The game takes over and you jump to the first boss.

Level 6 - Boss (TMNT6-B1)
You will find yourself on a conveyer belt. You will be moving to the right.
By pressing right, you move faster. Eventually, a door way will appear and
the Stone Warrior will come out again. This time is different than before
and slightly easier.

To defeat him, you must avoid him in stone form and wait for him to appear in
his humanoid form on the right side of the screen. He will then shoot three
sets of bullets, three at a time. Once he appears on the right, start moving
left and jump as soon as he shoots the first bullet. Move to the right in
the air and come down on the back side of the first three bullets.

As you are coming down, kick him in the head. Instantly move back to the
left and jump again. Kick him when you come down. Do it once more. He will
now turn into his stone form. He will move slowly to the right side of the
screen, then shoot quickly back to the left, Jump over him both times. He
turns back into his humanoid form. Jump over the bullets and kick him each
time. This is it for his cycle, so continue in this manner and you will win.

Once he is dead, he will move off to the right of the screen and you will
enter the door. This takes you to part 3

Level 6 - Part 3 (TMNT6-3)
Foot Soldiers will be hiding behind walls and will do their usual slide at
you trick. Jump them. Watch out for the laser shooters at the top of the
screen. They can be defeated by jumping and kicking.

Eventually you will come to a robot that shoots an arm at you. They are
called Road Kill Rodney. The Rodney takes two hits to kill. When they come
on screen, jump immediately and he will shoot his arm out at you. When you
land, kick him. He will jump over you and you can move to the right and the
Rodney will disappear off the screen, and you won't have to worry about him.

Keep moving right and you will jump up a couple of stairs. The flame
shooters from the forth level are back. Avoid them and the Foot Soldier
shooting missiles and keep on moving right. There will be a pizza carrying
Foot Soldier just before the end of the stage. A door will open and you will
move onto an elevator.

Level 6 - Part 4 (TMNT6-4)
You will be on another elevator, just like before. The strategy here is the
same as it was there. Stay in the middle and on the top. Kill the Foot
Soldiers as soon as possible, never letting more than three be on screen at
any given time. At the end you will be automatically taken into a scene with
Krang.

You will come to the end of a ledge and Krang will set off a discharge that
causes you to fall. You can't control anything and will eventually grasp
onto a ledge and be taken to part 5

Level 6 - Part 5 (TMNT6-5)
You will be in a place similar to the construction zone from early in the
game. This time there will be holes in the walls in which Mousers jump out
of. Time it so you move past these holes and not get attacked by a Mouser as
you move in front of it. When you see a real tiny beam you can jump onto, do
it. At the top and to the right will be a foot soldier with a pizza. Grab
it and move on to the next part.

Level 6 - Boss 2 (TMNT6-B2)
This boss is Shredder. He is different than before. This time you are on
another elevator. Shredder will come down from the top of the screen. A
small shadow tips you in on where he is landing, so don't be underneath it.

He will walk towards you and this is when you can attack him. Keep your
distance as he has a quick attack. Eventually he will jump up and disappear.
When he comes back down, he jumps back and forth between the left and the
right. Move to the top of the screen when he does this and wait for him to
reappear and begin to walk again. This is the end of his cycle. Hit him
while he walks towards you and move out of the way fast and you should be
able to beat him.

When you beat him (12 hits) you move on to the next part.

Level 6 - Part 6 (TMNT6-6)
This part is tough. There will be Foot Soldiers that come in riding piggy
back and jump at you. There will be holes in the wall that have mechanical
bugs that fly put at you. Keep moving right so that the holes disappear and
the bugs stop coming. Attack them as they dive bomb you.

You will come to a hole in the wall that is lower than the rest. Jump over
it. Bugs will fly at you from behind, so time your jumps to avoid them.
There will be two Foot Soldiers and then another one holding a pizza. Kill
him and grab that health, because you will need it.

Keep moving right. Now you will be on a small bridge. You will see an
explosion in the background. Jump immediately. If you don't, there will be
an explosion under your feet as well. Keep moving right and there should
only be three explosions you have to deal with.

Continue right. There will be two Foot Soldiers then more explosions
followed by two more Foot Soldiers. Keep moving right. Eventually you will
be taken into a door. This will be the final boss of the game, so be sure
you are prepared.

Level 6 - Boss 3 (TMNT6-B3)
This boss is Krang again. This time around he is in his Android form. This
is quite frankly the easiest final boss of all time. He will be on the right
side and will walk to the left. Every step he takes stomps on the ground.
If you are standing on the ground when he stomps, it causes you to freeze
temporarily. What you need to do is jump.

As he is walking, jump up and towards him and kick his android body in the
head. Land, walk a little to the left and do it again. Keep moving left,
while jumping and kicking him in the head. When he reaches the far left of
the screen, he jumps all the way back to the right.

He will now come at you with a jump. He jumps high and comes down hard,
freezing you for a little longer than his stomps. Time it so you jump and
are in the air when he lands. Kick him when you can. Move to the far left.
He will come almost up to you, but not quite. He will then jump back to the
right and start over by stomping again.

It takes 12 hits to kill him, and all should be done by jump kicks to the
head. Once he is dead, Krang's Android body will explode. Next the portal
to Dimension X will open up and he will be sucked into it. You will then
escape the Technodrome and view the end of the game.

Congratulations. Take a deep breath and relish in the fact that you have
finished another game. Let it be known that I was playing along with you, as
I have never beaten this game until I wrote this Walkthrough for it. I hope
you enjoyed the game as much as I did.

Bonus Games (TMNTBON)
There are several bonus games, most of them are similar. If you have all
your turtles when you beat a level, you will be taken to a bonus pizza
grabbing stage. If you are missing a turtle, you will be taken to a rescue
game where you can save one. Since all the pizza grabbing games are similar,
the strategy is roughly the same, so I will cover them in a general way.

Pizza Grabbing (TMNTB-PG)
In pizza grabbing games, there will be pizzas randomly appearing in one of
six places on the screen. You need to get to them before they disappear.
They will flash for a while and then go away. The best strategy is to stay
in the middle, on the bottom of the stage (if it has a top and bottom) and
move quickly. You can use your weapon to grab a pizza if you think it will
disappear before your turtle can touch it. Each pizza gives half a pizza on
the counter. Six total pizzas grants you full health and a lot of points.

Rescue Game (TMNTB-RG)
This level is harder. If one or more of your turtles has been captured, you
get a chance to rescue one at the end of each level. This battle will be
timed and every hit you take removes time from the counter.

Stand back, off to the left. He will shoot three to four bullets which you
can either duck under or jump over. He will then come towards you. Jump up
and hit him in the head, because he will kick at you and attack you every
time if you use your weapon. It takes most of the time to get him 12 times,
so if you are low on time and he has only one hit left, go for broke and
attack him melee style. When you win, you get your choice of which turtle to
bring back. Pick your favorite, as they have no advantages or disadvantages.

FAQS (TMNTFAQS)
Q: How do I beat X on Level Y?
A: If something is not covered in the guide, it is either because I haven't
finished the guide yet or I simply overlooked it. If something is missing
and it is in a part I already covered, please e-mail me and ask me. If it
has been more than 2 months since I updated and the guide is not complete,
please e-mail me and tell me to continue with the guide. I like to know my
work is used.

Q: How do I contact the author?
A: My e-mail is Arguro AT Hotmail.com You can use that address to talk to
me on MSN or use ArguroDeXill to contact me on AIM. I always leave both
online, even when I am not at the computer. Just leave a message and I will
get back to you if I don't respond right away. Please remember that I write
all my guides to help my fellow players and I am always willing to help
through e-mail or messenger.

Q: I was born after 1990. What exactly are the Ninja Turtles?
A: Long story short, the Ninja Turtles gained popularity after an animated
cartoon was made for CBS television based on the comic book series that was
based on a pencil and paper RPG (along the lines of Dungeons and Dragons).
This game has little to do with the Ninja Turtles that are on Fox's Saturday
morning line up. While it is the same characters, the background story is
different as it is based on an entirely different series. I suggest you
search out the newly released DVDs that contain many of the original episodes
if you are interested in the original Ninja Turtles, which most fans will
tell you is the best of the many series they've had.

Q: Where can I find this game and how much will it cost me?
A: This game can be found on any online auction site, such as eBay or Amazon.
If these are not an option for you, look in pawn shops, thrift stores, or
specialty video game stores that deal in old games (like Game Crazy). I
personally found my copy at A-1 Video Game Exchange in Boise, Idaho for $9.99
on September 30th, 2006. This is not a rare game by any means and can be
found just about anywhere that has an extensive collection of older games.

Q: Who made this game?
A: Konami developed and produced this game. They had a hand in almost all
of the original Ninja Turtles games. I find that, for the most part, they
are capable and produce good games based on the Ninja Turtles cartoon.

Q: What does the author use to play this game?
A: This is a good question because there are several different systems that
play Game Boy games and all have different screen sizes. When writing this
walkthrough, I use only the Super Game Boy on an SNES. I do this because I
have a monitor next to my computer and can easily switch between playing and
writing. When I first started playing, to see if this game would be one I
could write for, I used a Game Boy Advance SP (bottom lit version). I like
the color scheme on the SP, and hate the default scheme on the Super Game Boy
(but it can be changed). In addition to these, it can also be played on an
original Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and the
Game Boy Player for the Game Cube.

Q: What is the highest score ever achieved?
A: I am unaware of what the highest score ever is, but I have a few guesses.
My personal best came when writing this walkthrough. That score was 58,770.
I lost my last turtle on the first boss of level 6, so if you beat the game
without losing all Turtles, you can have a higher score. Also, there are
several areas that have infinite enemies coming at you. Theoretically, if
you infinitely kill these enemies for an infinite amount of time, you would
have an infinite score. However, since you cannot beat the game by
infinitely attacking re-spawning enemies, there is probably a score cap,
somewhere around 99,999.
