"One of the greatest Tennis games on Game Boy"

The game ''Tennis'', released in 1989, is one true classic for the Game Boy. Right when it was released it became a million seller and everyone wanted a piece of the action. In Tennis, you can compete with a friend (using the Game Link cable) or play the Computer, who is very challenging to beat, even at Level 1! The game is very addicting because the Computer AI is extremely good that you will have diffculty beating him at Level 1! Plus it's fun to beat all your friends and become a Tennis Master on GameBoy!

Graphics 10/10

The graphics are extremely well done for 1989. The tennis characters and courts look very good and Mario (who is the referee) looks detailed when he calls the shots.

Gameplay 9/10

The gameplay is very addicting, yet frustrating! The computer has 4 different Levels. 1 being easiest and 4 being hardest. At Level 1, he's pretty easy and makes some stupid mistakes to let you win. At Level 4, he is EXTREMELY tough and scarcely makes a mistake. You will find yourself being aced by the Computer in serves and blaming your character that he doesn't run fast enough. The flaw here is that they should've made the Computer A.I. a little more easier so you can actually SCORE A POINT! Tip: It's just a game, so don't break your Game Boy!

Sound/Music 10/10

The sound and music are outstanding. The ball bounces all sound very realistic. The music is entertaining to listen to while your playing against the computer, but it doesn't calm your nerves :).

Control 10/10

Standard left and right on the D-pad and A to swing. Not that difficult. But, your character could RUN a little faster don't ya think?

Replay Value 9/10

It's likely that you'll play this game with a friend, others might just find it so frustrating they might break it, but frustration aside, it's still a classic.

Overall 9/10

It may be frustrating but it's fun. Even I play it from time to time with some friends. But seldom do I ever try and beat the computer. I beat Level 1 (after 3 weeks of getting the game) and I am stuck on Level 2. Almost broke Game Boy, so uh, maybe I should take a rest! Anyways, get this game! It's a classic for the Game Boy!
