Wario Blast: Featuring Bomberman!

I've seen some people critisize Wario Blast: Featuring Bomberman for Game Boy, but I don't see why. It has the normal Bomberman game style to it, as well as a total of 8 stages with a boss at the end of each one.

Graphics: 7/10

The graphics are about the same as you would see in any Bomberman game. There really isn't much you can say about it. They are good graphics, for it's easy to distinguish yourself from the enemy, and it's easy to distinguish if something is a block in the way or a bomb.

Sound: 7/10

There wasn't too much sound in this game at all while the action went on. Just the ''blip-blip'' when your character moved (which is actually pretty cool,) the sound when you placed a bomb down, and the explosion noise (which could've been better.) The music isn't very fierce, as you might expect it to be. Some of it is okay, some is annoying.

Gameplay: 8/10

It's not too much different from other Bomberman games, but I found it very fun. You choose whether to be Wario or Bomberman. If you're Bomberman, you have to face Warios (that's right, as in more than one,) and if you're Wario, you have to face Bombermen. The first act in each stage has only one enemy to defeat, while the 2nd and 3rd acts have 2 and 3 enemies respectively. The enemies are for the most part pretty smart. They can avoid explosions rather well sometimes. Luckily, they don't really work together as a team to gang up on you. The 4th act of each level is a boss, some are easy, some are hard. After defeating the boss of the first couple of levels, you will recieve a new technique to aid you. Each stage is different from each other as well. For example, the 2nd stage contains warps, and the 6th stage contains ice you can slip on. Like many other Bomberman games, this game comes with a 2 player battle mode as well, in which you and your buddy can duke it out. Overall, it's a great game.

The challenge is okay. It's not the toughest game, but the enemies do get a little smart sometimes, and the last boss is incredibly hard (I've never beat him yet.)

The replay value is good. It's a fun game to go back to.

It's a pretty fun game that I enjoyed a lot.
