Game Boy Camera
Review by StarOceaner
"Buy a regular camera."
In 1998, the Game Boy Camera was created. This allowed you to take pictures with the camera and even more. While that may sound cool and all, the quality is crappy, and you're much better off with a digital camera. While it is fun to take pictures, its still a really bad add-on.
It's very simple; you put it into your Game Boy, turn it on, and take a picture. The picture quality was pretty horrible because everything was in black and white and you could barely see what you were taking a picture of.
When you are finished with your picture, you could use it to play games which really were not that fun. One of them was you could juggle a ball with your face on the guy juggling. Not that fun.
Another game was sort of like a DJ. You are able to make your own beats for songs, however, the controls are so extremely confusing that when you finish making your song, you get this big mess of beats that don't sound well when put together.
The way you would choose these games was weird. You have a spaceship, and the games would come down and you would shoot which one you wanted to play. If you didn't shoot any, you could play Space Fever 2 which was, like DJ, fun for a while.
Space Fever 2 was should look familiar to you. You have a space ship and there are enemies coming down towards you. Your object, kill them. At the end of the level, you would fight this giant boss with some random person's picture.
You could also animate your pictures which, like DJ, is confusing to do. The tools to animate were terrible and you can never really get what you wanted.
This is a really cool thing for the Game Boy but the music was horrible, the games were horrible, and so was the picture quality. One thing that was better than anything else was that you could buy a printer (Sold Separately) and print your pictures. But they were still in black and white. If you want to take pictures and draw on them for fun, go ahead and buy this, but otherwise, just buy a camera. If you don't have 200 bucks to buy a digital camera, you can go ahead and buy the Game Boy Camera, but don't take any memorable pictures with it. And please, stay away from everything else.
