Jurassic Park

"The worst game ever is on the Game Boy."

Yeah I know I may be overdoing this but I think that this piece of garbage has to be the worst game I ever played. This game was released some time during the hype that surrounded the first Jurassic Park movie and if you may remember during the hype they released action figures,comic books,school supplies with characters from the movie,heck they even put out a McDonalds meal to go with the film. Of course some where along the line a game based on the film would be released and yes it was released for different systems including the Game Boy(I think they were all different games). I don't know what possessed me to get this game but I regretted that decision ever since. If you want to know more about the worst game ever(At least in my opinion) then you know what to do.

Gameplay
Boring and repetive. You mostly end up looking for items to collect like dinosaur eggs and collect them all and you end up getting to another part of the level(You don't always do this). It is hard to look for eggs in some of the levels and most of the time you are just going to shoot dinosaurs mindlessly. Your life bar decreases too rapidly which makes dying happen more then half the time and when you lose all of your lives you have to start at the beginning of where you left off and this proves to be very frustrating because you may have to do a long and grueling task all over again. There are also boxes that have a question mark on them which could either grant you invincibility,life up,or they could kill you and I can't tell you how many times I picked up the box that ended up killing me and I had to start all over again. Even without some of those setbacks the game is still very boring.

Graphics
The guy that you control looks like he is putting on some weight. The dinos look okay and some of the levels look decent for a Game Boy game. The animation is mostly just two frames at maximum and the jumping animation for the guy you control looks hilarious(It is only one frame and it is even funnier when you keep jumping continuously).

Sound
The dinos make this silent scream when you shoot them and the sound of your bazooka really got on my nerves when I heard it for the 408th time. The music is just bland and at times irritating so you might as well turn the sound off on your Game Boy before it too gets to your head and drives you mad.

Control
The control consists of only a button to shoot and a button to jump. I don't know what was the idea with the jump button because you rarely use it at times. Another thing I experienced was that when I was trying to get through an open door my guy just stopped for a second before he went in(What's the deal with that?). Overall the control is shoddy.

Replay
Hahahahaha you're kidding me right. There is no replay value(Nada,none,zero,zip)and what is the point playing this game anyway unless of course you want to be bored out of your mind which is fine by me.

Final Word
Jurassic Park is another game that goes into my hall of shame and wins two awards and they are the worst Game Boy game ever,and the worst game ever. Please for the love of God if you see do not be tempted to buy it unless you are the kind of person that likes to play crap video games. Now if you excuse me I have to erase any bad memories I have of this game.
