Kirby's Dream Land 2

"The Best Dreamland!"

I got this game in Christmas'97.I had already played Kirby's Dreamland,and it was good,but little did I know this game would grow to be one of my most favorite games.

Graphics:10/10 The graphics in this game are awesome! It's hard to believe that this game was released for GameBoy! I love the animations of Kirby's abilities! If you leave your GameBoy sitting while not touching any buttons during play, Kirby will start to dance! The enemies move in all sorts of ways. If there were one word to describe this game's graphics, It would be: awesome.

Gameplay:10/10 The controls are very simple. A:jump, B:inhale, use special ability, Select: get rid of ability.
What are the ability's, you say? Tell me more,you say. I say: okay. You have seven abilities. Cutter,Ice,Fire,Rock,Parasol,Spark,and Spike.You also have Three buddies who can use all of those ability's differently. Talk about innovative! There are seven worlds, too. Grass Land,Big Forest,Ripple field,Iceberg,Red Canyon,Cloudy Park,and Dark Castle. Each have 3 or more stages in them. This game is never boring,It's a bit easy, but it's pure fun.

Story:10/10 The story has the true elements of a sequel. King Dedede is at it again,(or is he?)and Kirby must stop him(actually he must stop the villain possessing him, but the game doesn't reveal if Kirby knew it from the beginning or not.)Before going on his latest adventure,Kirby calls upon three friends. Rick,a Hamster, Kine,a fish,and Coo,an Owl. Cool!

Sound:9/10 Ah,yes,the sound.Not Bad! You can hear Kirby inhaling,and using his abilities.I love the jingles,too. Why did I give it an 9 then? The enemies don't make any sound! Sure,their actions make sounds,but couldn't we hear like a growl or something? Other than that,the sound is truly awesome.

Challenge:6/10 This game is very easy. Sometimes I got pissed because I'd get stuck between 2 moving walls. The game starts out very easy, but the challenge rises bit by bit as you try to get all of the rainbow pieces.

Replay:10/10 I love this game to death,and I play it over and over again because of combining the animals with the abilities. If you like this game as much as I do, you'll play this over and over again.

Rent or Buy: Since you can't rent this anywhere (I think) this is definitely a buy.

Overall:10/10 This is quite an impressive game. But it's not for all tastes. People who love games like Quake and Perfect Dark probably wouldn't enjoy this as much. But hey, Perfect Dark is one of my favorite games, and so is this.
