Ring Rage

"A small game pak, a large variety of gameplay."

Ok, well this game was very old, but the selection of gameplay was out of this world! Nintendo Power (and online as well as other) magazines offered built-in strategy guides. I was flipping through an old np mag and came across the Ring Rage guide, so I decided to buy it.

Music/Audio: 6/10
Well, being that Taito put their all into it, the music was good, even for a 1993 release. Each arena had it's own little combat/battle song, sounded like it was armageddon in the steel cage arena in Calgary :) It was all good. For the most part, It added to the game and in a way.....fitted in amost perfectly.

Story Line: X/X
Well...there kinda WAS a story, kinda...well...uh...yeah! You travel around the world battling.

Graphics: 7/10
Simply good for it's age. Since the crowd was animated, it saved the graphics from getting a 5/10. Signature moves featured almost 3D figures.

Gameplay: 8/10
Now, we all knw that Ring Rage is old, but Ring Rage is the only game that has 2 different cages to battle in. 100% pure steel, and chain-link. Some say that the game put the ''ring'' in boring, then again others (like me) say that it rocks. C'mon guys!! It rules, especially for it's age!!!!! ...1993--> :-) It has:
•3 arenas, Normal, Steel caged and Chain-Link
•6 wrestlers, all of whom wrestle, kick box and do karate as well as martial arts, or even street fight.
•Everyone has their own moves, from hip presses, to destroyer stomps and from Hyper punches to Penetrating punches, this game has it all.
•Well, all I can say is that this game was put hard work into and that's final because the TWF consists of variety, mayhem and rage.
•Once you start playing, man, I'm afraid that you'l probably almost never get off cuz it's a sharp game. My best guess is that you ply your way through the tornament.

Replay Value: 7/10
...You'll just keep coming back for more, becauuse you'll find more in every game playing session of Ring Rage.

Buy or Rent?: One choice: BUY!!
Why? IT'S OLD!! You can't rent it anymore, maybe. Youcan buy this for a cheap price, nowadays, because it's an old game. However, it' a bit expensive, it's worth it's price, no, wait, much, much, more than it's price! Well, this is just a good game!! I guarantee it!
