Game Boy Camera

"Interesting to do on your spare time."

Now here is something you don't see everyday! A game for the Gameboy that allows you to take pictures of our environment! Then better yet.... Editing it! These types of games are an example of those ones that you will rarely ever pick up, and should always consider picking up for great fun for the whole family. Since this is not really a GAME, This review will be a bit different from the most common reviews for games that I write.

Game Play 10/10
What can be more fun than taking pictures of people, places, pets or objects? Lets take an example. You took a picture of a banana. You can give it eyes, a hat, anything you wish! You can even use it in a mini-game! What else can you ask for? You can also take pictures of those people that you dislike, give them goofy faces and guess what even print them out! (Printer not included) and hang them on your wall so you can goof on it for fun. The Mini-Games are fun to play. Some include a little spaceship game, and shoot a certain target to get a mini-game. One mini-game is playing a DJ and making your own raps. You can have your own face, or have one of the default faces. Also some is bouncing a ball back and forth, using your 'hands' to bounce them back. If anyone saw the commercial, it's pretty much exactly how it shows it. Being goofy, bring it into school (well, if you want to risk getting it taken away :-P) and take pictures of those teachers at you hate and give them those crazy faces. That’s basically all this game is. Take pictures, play mini-games, use the faces. I can't complain, it's also good for taking pictures for things you just wish to save. I sometimes just take pictures, and don't edit them because I like them.

Visuals 9/10
Well. Visuals are nice because, your taking a picture of the real world, of course visuals are going to be nice. Though, you can tell Nintendo didn't do too much on the mini-games, probably because you have the picture taking. I think if a new version came out, they should improve the visuals in the actual game.

Replay Value 8/10
Replay Value...well...since this game is not really an actual game, there is none. It all depends on how much pictures you want to take with this little tool. It could be very little, or very much. I'll break it down for you right now. This game isn't going to keep you busy forever. Maybe a few weeks to a month. How much fun can you have taking pictures all day? Not much, you have to admit. It's fun for the time it lasts. I wouldn't recommend buying this during a summer time, because you don't goof off that much in the summer as you do during school years (I hope).

Should I use this as an actual Camera?
No. Of course not. It's really not worth it for that. The quality on these shots isn't perfect. Not to mention this was made for Gameboy, not Gameboy Color or Gameboy Advance. The pictures aren’t going to be nothing spectacular at all. Sometimes dark, sometimes light. So I wouldn't use this as a camera you will use on vacation or something, unless you want to goof off with it instead.

Rent or Buy
I'm pretty sure no one actually has this to rent...I'm almost positive. You’re going to have to trust this review or other reviews to buy this. If you want an actual game, don't buy this. If you want a game that involves funny picture taking and little mini-games. Get this. It all depends on opinion.
