"Not too impressive"

To be honest,I really didn't like this game much.It was exactly like Donkey Kong Country 2 for the Super Nintendo. This game wasn't fun or exciting. There were almost no differences between the two games.I was hoping Donkey Kong Land 2 would be completely different from Donkey Kong Country 2 just like how Donkey Kong Land 1 was different from Donkey Kong Country 1 but it wasn't and it turned out to be a very disappointing game.

Control:9

Nothing wrong here. The control was a lot better than in Donkey Kong Land 1.The control was responsive and easy to master. This is one of the only good things in the game unfortunately.

Graphics:9

Very nice. There were a lot like Donkey Kong Country 2.All the levels and characters looked really good especially if you're playing this game on a Game Boy Color.

Plot:5

Nothing new here. The same old plot as the one in Donkey Kong Country 2.Donkey Kong gets captured by K Rool and Diddy has to save him.Nothing exciting.

Music and Sound:6

Again,it's exactly the same.Everything single tune is from Donkey Kong Country 2 but since it's on a Game Boy,it sounds a whole lot worse. The sound effects weren't too impressive either. Some of the sound effects sounded just awful and not just because they're were on a Game Boy.Unlike the music in this game, some of the sound effects were new and sounded terrible and the old sounds were awful too.I recommend turning down the volume when playing this game.

Difficulty:7

Not too hard or too easy.About average. Some levels were insanely easy while other levels, particularly the boss levels, are really challenging.

Replay Value:5

No where near as fun as Donkey Kong Country 2.I got really bored of this game fast. You won't care for this game at all after you beat it the first time.

Overall:5

Not too impressive and it's a shame too considering how great the first one was. This game was just boring because it was the exact same as the Super Nintendo version. If you played the Super Nintendo version then there isn't even any reason to play this game because it's much worse.

Buy or Rent

If you've played the Super Nintendo version, then there's no need to play this game at all.If you really want to play this game, then I'd recommend that you rent it first unless you're a huge Donkey Kong fan.

Good points about this game

-good control
-good graphics
-the fact that it's a Donkey Kong game

Bad points about this game

-lousy music
-terrible sound
-almost no fun
-same plot
-the fact that it's exactly the same as DKC 2
-some of the characters that appeared in DKC 2 don't appear in this game such as Cranky and Swanky
