Tamagotchi

"At least the keychain one didn't have music........"

I'll keep this review short and sweet. It will take a serious Tamagotchi fan to enjoy this. Now, the main attraction in the keychain one was that you could take care of it 'round the clock. Here, you can't do that, now can you? Unless, of course, you have a VERY LARGE battery budget and an inability to sleep. :^)

GRAPHICS: 3
Blahzé backgrounds, blahzé animations. The graphics are extremely simple. I mean, the least they could have done is colorize the Tamagotchi on the Super GB....

SOUND: 1
That music will drive you INSANE if you listen to it long enough. Unfortunately, if you turn down the volume, you might miss a warning beep, which could result in a very easily dead 'gotchi.

GAMEPLAY: 4
What gameplay? Seriously, though, if you've played the keychain, you know what I'm talking about. There are some added features, like tournaments, but they don't help. Possibly the best part of the game is the "Triplegotchi" system, with three of the little blobs running around at the same time, which can get pretty hectic. However, after a few minutes it just gets tedious and boring.

What little story there is isn't even translated well....

If you are a VERY VERY SERIOUS Tamagotchi freak, buy this. Otherwise, back away slowly, then run for cover.
