Harvest Moon GB
Review by N64 Master
"A strategy game based on running a farm, not as easy as it sounds though."
Harvest Moon GB is an all around good game. The graphics are like any other Game Boy game you've ever seen, the standard black and white. But I like the overhead view because it reminds me of the greatest GB game ever,The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.
This GB game is a port of the SNES version, but with extra things added, and some things taken out.I think the GB version is probably better, one reason being that you can take this version anywhere!!
This is a fun game, considering that its about farming. Its hard growing crops, tending to cows, raising chickens, thats what makes it fun,its challenging. The gameplay score for this game is definitely high in my book.
The sound isn't all that good in this game. The little plop sound when you throw vegetables gets annoying after a while.I like the music in the gnome's cave though. All the seasons in the game have different music so that you aren't stuck with the same music the whole game.
The replayability(replay value) on this game is in the middle. The game can get boring sometimes because of repetition, but I could be wrong, considering I played it non-stop for around five hours about every day.
I don't know any rental stores that carry GB games,so you can't rent it to try it out,so you're going to have to trust your instincts.Like I said,it can get boring, but its a pretty good game if like this sort of thing.
