Meitantei Conan: Chika Yuuenchi Satsujin Jiken
Review by A B C
"Hanin wa omaeda! (You're the guilty one!)"
Well this is quite an old game, but I think it is still a great game. Meitantei Konan is quite a popular character in Japan. There are movies, tv shows, video games, and comic books. I liked the tv shows so I decided to buy this game. When I started, I was glad I bought this game.
Storyline: This game takes place in an underground amusement park. You are there one day before it opens because they got special access (since Ran's dad is such a great detective and all). There are also 9 other guests and the owner of the park. There are three different cases to solve. There is a Roller coaster one, a Haunted House one, and a Maze one. Once you start any of those three, the owner of the amusement park is killed. The doors are locked and the cell phones aren't working. The people inside the park have no access to the outside world. You must solve these cases and find out who killed the owner!
Game play/Difficulty: 8/10 This game can be quite difficult if you aren't a great detective. You have to talk to everyone many times and find three major evidences. After you find those three evidences, you must pick a person who you think killed the owner. Your evidences have to be correct and you have to pick the right person or it's game over. You can also play little mini-games. As you solve more cases, there will be more mini-games available to you.
Graphics: 7/10 Well the graphics is kind of bad. Conan looks too... ''square''. I think Nintendo could have done better with him and the other characters. But none the less, it is still fine.
Music: 10/10 Well I have to give the music two thumbs up. Each area of the park has different music. Especially in the Haunted House. The music there gives me goose bumps. Now you don't get that in video games these days.
Replay ability: 1/10 Unless you have really bad memory, you won't be able to play this game many times and not get sick of it. Once you find out who the guilty person is, it gets too easy. Well hey, at least it'll take you a while to actually beat the game.
Rent or Buy: Buy Well if you ever go to Japan, see if you can find this game pre-owned. This game is quite fun and it will take you quite some time to beat.
Overall: I give this awesome detective game Meitantei Conan a 9 out of 10.
